@MrMaz :
could you check at my Classifieds plugin and see how to do this in it ?
I did try but there’s always templates which do not load…
Thanks a lot !
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-classifieds
Your functions
-bp_classifieds_locate_template
-bp_classifieds_filter_template
-bp_classifieds_load_template
are at the bottom of the -templates.php page

++added a Classifieds widget (not ajaxed yet)
In reply to: BuddyPress Classifieds Component 1-beta released !1. Classified Ad Entries do not appear in Activity Streams of Member nor Home Page
->Yes I have to fix this
2. Site Admin should delete Hello World first post in new private blog set up for classifieds – if not configured to delete before
->Added to installation intructions
3. Created Blog for Classifieds plugin Settings > Privacy was set to Block Google but allow online visitors – but the special blog is showing up in Blogs Directory even when Site Admin is logged out.
->BuddyPress bug ?
4A. Single page for a Classified Ad Entry – does not have navigation back to list of classifieds
->Neither Single page for Groups have; I try to keep things like core components
4B. or have a “Reply” field box for possible interested clients.
->I’m waiting that BP reintroduce the wire function
5. Categories chosen and Tags added during set up of Classified Ad Entry, are not showing up anywhere in Classified Directory Page or single page of the Classified Entry.
-> not ? Please upgrade to last version and don’t forget to update the theme directory
6. Feature Request: ability to upload even a small single 150×150 image to go along with the classified ad entry.
-> I’m waiting that BP handles pictures (galleries?) better
@Michael Berra :
Great thing – Grosbouff!

Thanks for your great job so far! I am really looking forward to it, et je te dire: merci beaucoup!!!
Merci

1. I couldn’t post a classified from the frontend – gave me a 400 error (could be, that it’s just me?!)
Did you move the theme folder ? (please upgrade to last version before)
3. “All classifieds” in the directory says (0) – but there is one! All the other “tags” I created say (1) although I only posted it in one of them (“sachen”).
Yes, classifieds counts are not OK yet
4. The advanced search doesn’t really work correctly: When I try to filter, it just ignores my setting.
Does firebug tells something ?
5. When I click on a category-link underneath a classified – it jumps to the filtering, but shows nothing (although there for sure is one classified with that categorie
Still have that bug ? Working here
7. The classified-activity doesn’t show up in the activity-stream. Not even, when I set the blog visible for everybody (also google)
Yes I have to fix this
8.The menu in the single-classified-view is underneath the text. Is that on purpose? The “Start” is empty… (should there be something)
Yes,
Waht do you mean by The “Start” ?
3. In my opinion it would be crucial that classified activity shows up in the activity-stream (in BP1.2 that is THE central point!)
4. The classifieds should have the possibility to react. I would recommend the same functions as any activity-item (comments, favorite) –>maybe that’s hard, because those are actually blogposts?
5. Pictures are very important (as mercime said). It is important to have the possibility to add pictures!
Yes I would like to add this too. When i’ll get time…
6. It should be translatable – but maybe that’s already in there, for your language is french
. I would need german…But it is

@mercime :
But there is still a nag
Ok, it’s fixed. Weird

Fixed double-nesting
– This is fixed now
If you want special tags[…] – so I wrote some tags like : new, used, giveaway, red, blue, black
Those are tags you have to create in your data-blog and then put their “ids” in (eg:7,4)
Checked option for Auto-suggest Tags
Oops I forgot this option, but it’s not active yet.
there is no Site Admin or Admin Role there, so do I assume that Keymaster ala forums is for Site Admin, correct?
The roles are retrieven from your blog. I don’t understand your question very well but you should find the usual wordpress roules there
Thanks for testing and review !
In reply to: FEATURES REQUEST Classifieds (Plugin)First beta version released !
https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/buddypress-classifieds-component-1-beta-released
Hi, nice code !
Could be very usefull.
Anyway, I try to use it but it doesn’t load my -loop.php template file.
I’m on the latest trunk and here’s what I did : http://pastie.org/805189
Thanks for help !
[EDIT] Ok it works with
<?php bp_classifieds_locate_template( array( ‘classifieds/classifieds-loop.php’ ), true ) ?>
In reply to: FEATURES REQUEST Classifieds (Plugin)Ok, I think this time a first version will be finally ready in some days…Let’s say… about one week I think ! A bunch of hours…
For WPMU+BP 1.2.
When WordPress 3.0 will be released; it will also work for single WP+BP.
First version will not support picture galleries.
In reply to: BP 1.2 : \"bp_filter_request is not defined\"Could you post the link here ?
resolved with last trunk.
In reply to: BP 1.2 : problem with bp_profile_group_has_fields()Ok, I founded out :
if ( bp_has_profile() ) {
while ( bp_profile_groups() ) : bp_the_profile_group();
global $group;
$one_group = array();
$one_group[‘id’] = $group->id;
$one_group[‘name’] = $group->name;
$groups[ $group->id ] = $one_group;
//if ( bp_profile_group_has_fields() ) {
while ( bp_profile_fields() ) : bp_the_profile_field();
//if ( bp_field_has_data() ) {
global $field;
$one_field = array();
$one_field[‘id’] = $field->id;
$one_field[‘name’] = $field->name;
$fields[] = $one_field;
//}
endwhile;
//}
endwhile;
}
Hope that it’s ok to comment those lines…
In reply to: BP 1.2 : problem with bp_profile_group_has_fields()Seems this has something to do with function has_fields() :
function has_fields() {
$has_data = false;
for ( $i = 0; $i < count( $this->group->fields ); $i++ ) {
$field = &$this->group->fields[$i];
if ( $field->data->value != null ) {
$has_data = true;
}
}
if ( $has_data )
return true;
return false;
}
print_r($field) returns
teststdClass Object ( [id] => 1 [name] => Name [type] => textbox [group_id] => 1 ) stdClass Object ( [id] => 2 [name] => Name [type] => textbox [group_id] => 1 ) stdClass Object ( [id] => 3 [name] => First Name [type] => textbox [group_id] => 1 ) stdClass Object ( [id] => 4 [name] => Both Names [type] => textbox [group_id] => 1 )
print_r($field->data) returns FALSE…
In reply to: BP 1.2 : \"bp_filter_request is not defined\"In reply to: [privacy component] extend to my own componentok, nice !
In reply to: FEATURES REQUEST Classifieds (Plugin)I’ll try to continue developping this, even if I can’t work as much that I did because I have a lot of work actually.
I started to get it ready for BuddyPress 1.2 : It seems that no major rewriting is needed.
It is getting to work quite fine…
I’ll continue posting news about this into this topic.
Ok. Since I see that this is not getting your enthusiasm, ….

Il try too keep doing the job.
I worked 2 more days on this; trying to
-keep coding/debugging it
-adapt it for BP 1.2 directly
I’ll tell you about it in the following weeks into this topic :
https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/features-request-classifieds-plugin
In reply to: BP 1.2 & custom "add_submenu_page" : link brokenOkay, the solution was to initialize my plugin on the hook bp_init…
It’s working now.
In reply to: a template question(PS : the problem will be the same with the loaded CSS and JS files. You should really add something to the buddypress core to make this easier).
Here’s how I did to load CSS & JS from the plugin directory (default) if there’s no files for the plugin into the current theme :
define ( ‘BP_QUICKPRESS_PLUGIN_NAME’, ‘buddypress-quickpress’ );
define ( ‘BP_QUICKPRESS_PLUGIN_URL’, WP_PLUGIN_URL . ‘/’ . BP_QUICKPRESS_PLUGIN_NAME );
wp_enqueue_script( ‘bp-quickpress-expandable-tree-js’, apply_filters(‘bp_quickpress_locate_js’,’_inc/js/expandableTree.js’),array(‘jquery’), ‘1.0’ );
wp_enqueue_style( ‘bp-quickpress-screen’, apply_filters(‘bp_quickpress_locate_css’,’style.css’) );
function bp_quickpress_load_template_files($file) {
$theme_path = STYLESHEETPATH . ‘/quickpress’;
$theme_url = get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . ‘/quickpress’;
if ( file_exists( $theme_path.’/’.$file ) ) {
return $theme_url.’/’.$file;
}else {
return BP_QUICKPRESS_PLUGIN_URL.’/theme/quickpress/’.$file;
}
}
add_filter(‘bp_quickpress_locate_js’,’bp_quickpress_load_template_files’);
add_filter(‘bp_quickpress_locate_css’,’bp_quickpress_load_template_files’);
In reply to: a template questionMaybe have I to use the locate_template in the template instead of bp_core_load_template ?
In reply to: a template questionHey DJPaul, thanks for your answer !
There something good for me in there

But, I still have a little problem.
In my plugin php files;
I use the bp_core_load_template() function to load my template, which is filtered by your (modified) function :
function classified3s_screen_filter_template( $located_template, $template_name ) {
if ( !empty( $located_template ) )
return $located_template;
if ( $bp->current_component != $bp->classified3s->slug )
return false;
$template_path = BP_CLASSIFIED3S_PLUGIN_DIR.”/theme/$template_name[0]”;
if ( file_exists( $template_path ) ) {
return $template_path;
}
return false;
}
add_filter( ‘bp_located_template’, ‘classified3s_screen_filter_template’, 10, 2 );
and it works.
So
bp_core_load_template( apply_filters( ‘classified3s_template_classified3s_directory’, ‘directories/classified3s/index’ ) );
loads the file inside myplugin/theme/classified3s/index.php because there is no specific themes files for the plugin in my current theme.
Great.
But inside that index.php file, I call another template :
<?php bp_core_load_template( apply_filters( ‘classified3s_template_classified3s_loop’, ‘classified3s/classified3s-loop.php’ ) );?>
which loads… nothing.
Don’t know if you can see where the problem is.
Thanks man !
Also, this should be added to the core function. Check if the plugin contains a “theme” directory where are stored the default template files if no templates are found in the current theme.
Because it’s annoying to have to move the files after having installed the plugin.
In reply to: [NEW PLUGIN] BuddyPress real namesYou are right ! That’s it !
Thanks. I added that instruction to the readme.
In reply to: [NEW PLUGIN] BuddyPress real namesThat’s stupid

Thanks, I had forgotten about his.
But more stranger, I don’t see anymore the fields names in the select boxes of the admin options after having installed the plugin… Weird, uh ? I didn’t change a thing in the code about this…
In reply to: [NEW PLUGIN] BuddyPress real namesGot problems with the admin menu of that plugin.
The BuddyPress admin panel does’nt expand, and instead, it goes to “wp-admin/bp_profile_real_names” which is the broken url of my plugin (and should be : wp-admin/admin.php?bp_profile_real_names).
The page itself is broken.
// Adds admin menu to WP Dashboard > BuddyPress
function bp_real_names_menu() {
add_submenu_page( ‘bp-general-settings’, __( ‘Real Names Options’, ‘bp_profile_real_names’ ), __( ‘Real Names Setup’, ‘bp_profile_real_names’ ), ‘manage-options’, ‘bp_profile_real_names’, “bp_real_names_options” );
}
add_action(‘admin_menu’, ‘bp_real_names_menu’);
Please help ! I don’t see where the problem is.
In reply to: Google maps for xprofileIn reply to: CLASSIFIEDS COMPONENT newsOk, i’ve started rewriting the plugin (as a blog) and it seems promising !
