In reply to: Activity Stream Not Loading/Displaying
Thanks for the screenshots. Those could be issues with the theme. I can’t reproduce the issue myself with Twenty Fifteen. Can you upload screenshots for Twenty Fifteen?
In reply to: Error in Release Candidate 2.5Hi @mrjarbenne
Can you open a ticket on Trac?
In reply to: Activity Stream Not Loading/DisplayingStrange that you’re seeing a difference between your front page and activity page. That could indicate there’s an issue with your templates. Which version of WP and BP are you using?
In reply to: Activity Stream Not Loading/DisplayingOn Twenty Fifteen, the Load More button disappears after multiple clicks
Could you have reached the end of your activity items?
In reply to: Needing BuddyPress Event CalendarHave you tried BuddyPress Simple Events?
In reply to: Activity Stream Not Loading/DisplayingCan you check if it happens on Twenty Fifteen with all plugins deactivated? I’m testing on a fresh install of trunk and can’t reproduce the problem.
In reply to: Update stream when deleting posts in bbpressJust to point out, you’ll probably want to delete both the activity update and comments on that update. Useful will be

In reply to: Using Buddy Press to create a media sharing siteYou can add functionality to BuddyPress using plugins. If a particular feature isn’t available as a plugin you could try implement it yourself or ask a coder for help. BuddyPress has a huge API that will help.
The look and feel of your website is governed by the theme you choose.
If you already have a dev site operational, try out some different plugins and themes to see which ones work best for your project.

All of the core BuddyPress navigation functions are in bp-core/bp-core-buddybar.php. You can see the contents of that file here:

In reply to: BuddyPress Users profile picture uploading errorThis is a guess but perhaps this is a permissions issue? Some user roles can’t upload files by default.

In reply to: notification date received not accurate.Hi @bruce30
You can change the date format. See Date Formats for more info.
In reply to: Friends in “Profile Page”Yes, you can use the
includeparameter to pass a list of user IDs. For example:$friend_ids = friends_get_friend_user_ids( bp_displayed_user_id() ); $include = implode( ',', $friend_ids ); // Your loop hereRef: https://codex.buddypress.org/developer/loops-reference/the-members-loop/
In reply to: Feature request: Last loginThere are plugins that can do this. It isn’t necessarily a BuddyPress thing
In reply to: Buddypress SecurityI echo what @shanebp said.
In reply to: Global $bp does not contain current_user dataI’m also wondering why you want to populate the
$bpglobal with current user data?In reply to: Global $bp does not contain current_user dataIs your
bp_displayed_outside_bp()function a class method? If not, then$thisis being used out of context. Instead try:add_filter( 'bp_displayed_user_id', 'bp_displayed_outside_bp' );In reply to: Display WP Username by default without PluginIf you don’t find a custom solution to this I just wanted to point out that plugin is built by @r-a-y, one of the BuddyPress core developers. I expect it should still work fine. As always, try it on a test install before adding to your live site.
In reply to: tasksRight, I see. As I say, fixing the issue might be far easier for you than building from scratch?
In reply to: How to redirect after registration? Can you paste the code you’re using here?
In reply to: tasksTo Do List member accomplished this nicely until the shortcodes decided not to display.
It might be easier fixing this issue rather than building a new solution. Have you told the plugin author about the problem? Maybe they can publish a fix.
In reply to: Just a little advice pleaseMy approach is usually start by installing WordPress and then install and activate the BuddyPress plugin. From there the next step is to choose a theme. Here you will have both free and paid options. You’ll find some good free themes here. Once you’re done with your website’s look and feel, begin to add functionality such as an ecommerce plugin like WooCommerce.
In reply to: Categories in the ActivityThis isn’t possible by default. You will need to add either a plugin, if one is available, or some custom code.
