In reply to: One forum per blogIn reply to: Nahdliyin Community
The site domain now morphed into nahdliyin.com [beta]. The looks also recently refreshed.
Finally I got the solution by other way.
thanks, @travel-junkie, for your response.
In reply to: BP components no show in secondary blogs@imjscn –
Edit: with the latest version of BP (1.2.6), the blog posts on the subblog now can appear on the activity, even though BP multiblog mode is active. In reply to: Individual page for user profileOkay. I’ll try it. Thanks, @rogercoathup
In reply to: BuddyPress 1.2.6 is out!Cool! But seemed ac-reply-avatar too oversized.
In reply to: is that possible with buddypress?Yes, it is possible! For example you can look at http://nahdliyin.com
In reply to: BP components no show in secondary blogs@imjscn — You can put BP on a secondary blog by adding
define ( 'BP_ROOT_BLOG', $blog_id );, or in all blogs by addingdefine ( 'BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG', true );, into wp-config. However, by activating the BP at all blogs will make the blog posts on each blog will not appear in the activity. For more can be found at https://codex.buddypress.org/buddypress-site-administration/changing-internal-configuration-settings
In reply to: BuddyPress Mobile ThemeNow the activity as the home page is working, and the logout button is also displayed after login. Another problem is the blog page/tab can not display the list of blog posts. He even displays a list of blogs because I named the page/tab “Blog”. Login form on the front page also does not work: every time I login always redirected to the wp-login.
In reply to: BuddyPress Mobile ThemeJust tried with IPad simulator (because I do not have iPhone or IPad
), was not found logout button after I login. Maybe because I use a child theme and set activity as home page, or there are some things I missed. There are several plugins that should be disabled because it doesn’t work on this theme.
In reply to: Need a Submit News PluginI’m using “One Quick Post” plugin on my site.
In reply to: How to allow ONLY image posts?@adelack –
If you agree to use the sub-blog for this purpose, you can use p2 theme on the sub-blog.Actually, there is a plugin: oEmbed for BuddyPress. But on my last try did not work. Or I missed something.
In reply to: I need ideas for theme creation.Buddypress theme as social bookmarking.
I am interested in the concept of the pressmark theme. I try to modify to make it as a child theme on BuddyPress, But so far not been successful
. It would be great if anyone can do it. Maybe you, @modemlooper,
. Not necessarily adopt the Pressmark theme . The point is to make a Buddypress theme for social bookmarking. In reply to: Blog posts on activity stream and permalink problemYes, both have the same htaccess settings, including the permissions.
Like you, I have no other thoughts than those already discussed. Therefore I plan to refresh the installation.
Thanks, @rogercoathup, for any inputs.
In reply to: Blog posts on activity stream and permalink problemExactly the same problem still appear even if I use the default theme. Actually, the theme that I use now just a child theme. Without. .htaccess, instead an error that appears.
The server I’m now on is Linux Shared Hosting (cPanel).
Perhaps it was rather odd, because this problem did not appear on my other site.
In reply to: Blog posts on activity stream and permalink problem@rogercoathup:
Recently I tried, with only BuddyPress are active, blog posts can appear in actifity stream. So maybe a plugin causes it does not appear. However, the permalink still can not work unless the default permalink. Permalink I now use is “/%author%/%postname%/”. For more details, you can see on my site.In reply to: Blog posts on activity stream and permalink problem@rogercoathup: Yes, it worked perfectly. But once I turn on BuddyPress, without any other plugins active, instantly permalink does not work.
In reply to: Terong GosongOh yes, favicon, one thing is forgotten. Now it’s added.
Thank you, @Nit3watch, had warned me.
In reply to: Main Blog Posts Not Appearing in Activity FeedI got the same problem. Did anyone know whether the plugin that caused it. I’m using WordPress 3.0.1, BuddyPress 1.2.5.2 , and so many plugins.
In reply to: BuddyPress on Some Specific BlogsOkey, @DJPaul. Thanks for the replay.
@rhivanz: If your site running on WordPress MS, you can put BuddyPress in the sub-blog, so all BuddyPress features, including user profiles, put there. About how to make it, can be viewed at https://codex.buddypress.org/how-to-guides/changing-internal-configuration-settings
In reply to: Nahdliyin CommunityJust refreshing the look of my site.
In reply to: members slugIn reply to: Groups or Forums as Home Page@hnla, “each in a separate blog” meant the group on a blog, and forums on the other blogs.
Actually, with WordPress Multisite, I want to make BuddyPress active across the entire site/blog, and I want to make the home page on every blog is different: blog posts on the blog 1; activity on the blog 2; groups on the blog 3, forums on the blog 4, etc.. On my site only me (admin) who can create blogs.
I’ll try using a loop, though I have not quite understand how to use it.
Thanks a lot.
