@johnjf thanks for sharing π
In reply to: Link To ProfileOr, you can add this to your theme’s functions.php file
http://pastebin.com/HSpJNLyVIn reply to: Listing user blogs in user profileIf you have a multisite installation and allowed users to create blogs, each user will have a “Sites” tab where the the blogs created by respective user is listed.
You can change name “Sites” to “My Blogs” by creating a new Page named “My Blogs” and then go to Network Admin > Settings > BuddyPress > Pages and change Site Tracking page from “Sites” to newly created “My Blogs” page.
In reply to: E-mail RegisterThat’s the default link for the registration page.
You can change it to example.com/join-us/ or something like that by creating a page e.g. Join Us and assigning that page as your Registration page in Settings > BuddyPress > Pages.
After you’ve activated your account, you can always go to wp-login.php to log in.
In reply to: AlignmentCopy the “BuddyPress Component Finishing Styles” from https://codex.buddypress.org/legacy/theme-dev-bp-template-pack-walkthrough-twenty-ten-bp-1-5/3/ and paste to the bottom of your theme’s style.css file and adjust to taste. Includes bringing in the widths of item and sub navigation containers and removing the bullet points to the BP lists in different components.
In reply to: [Resolved] Need activation key???@johnjf Good for you π Would you like to share how you resolved the issue for the next person who might have the same issue?
In reply to: Group Avatar Cropping Problem@sjroda that happened because of the many changes wrought in WP 3.5
We pretty much go along with what the mothership – WordPress – does. Even if you deactivate BuddyPress, you’d see the same behavior with featured images etc.In reply to: BP icon across all sub sites?@voopress a simple way to do this http://bpsocialnetwork.wordpress.com/2012/12/22/sitewide-url-in-footer/
In reply to: BuddyPress Moderation 0.1.61. the plugin has not been updated since WP 3.2.1
2. it’s a weekend and it’s one that’s before a major holiday here so many forum volunteers are shopping or just taking some well-deserved rest or traveling somewhere, etc.
3. https://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/bp-moderation/trunk/bpModLoader.php
You can still activate the plugin network-wide even if you remove that “Network: true” from that file I linked to above in your plugins/bp-moderation/ folder so you could access it in subsite’s plugin panel. Having said that, no guarantees that the plugin would still work with WP 3.5In reply to: [Resolved] Error when upload avatarYou’re welcome. Marking this as resolved.
In reply to: E-mail RegisterIn BuddyPress, you register and you get an activation email by default to edit profile, post status updates, create a blog or create a group, etc. Register at BuddyPress official test site at http://testbp.org to see how it goes.

What did you install/delete or change between the time it was working and now? Membership plugin perhaps or a custom theme?
In reply to: Errors on activationStrange. Haven’t seen activation of BuddyPress to lead to bbPress errors before. WP/BP versions? What theme are you using? What other plugins do you have activated? Do you have group forums in addition to your Sitewide Forums?
In reply to: Multisite Removal (BuddyPress on Network)@mairaj I suggest not including info about 5 subsites without any other explanation, otherwise I would have suggested the same thing as hnla if I did not see your most recent post.
@jig4physics weird issue. I would backup database, then via phpMyAdmin. Go to wp_users table and click on Edit link on the first row (if you’re the admin/super admin user ID is #1). In next panel, change user_status value from 2 to back to 0
Great. Marking this as resolved.
Yup, it was reported in the plugin’s forums https://wordpress.org/support/topic/v35-throws-up-error-messages?replies=1 Best person to fix this is the author of the plugin.
In reply to: activate user registration by adminThere’s a premium plugin http://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-auto-activate-auto-login/ or you could try to update an old plugin https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-disable-activation/
In reply to: Server error 500 during installationI donβt know what the BP template pack does
It copies over BP template folders into your active theme, in this case Topbusiness, plus adds styles, JS and AJAX for the BP elements.
it was recommended in the documentation.
Topbusiness theme author recommended this? Best post in theme author’s forums to resolve template pack issue. The plugin has not acted up like that with other WP themes we helped template-pack so far.
forum walls
Are you referring to the Group Forums or Sitewide Forums? There’s no plugin that does this for Group Forums. For bbPress Sitewide Forums -> https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bbpressmoderation/
In reply to: Server error 500 during installationThe theme required a buddy press theme pack
Looks like the Topbusiness is already BP-compatible per promo so if you used the BP Template Pack, deactivate it and remove the 6 BP folders transferred to your theme’s folder if you went through Appearance > BP Compatibility. Then re-upload the Topbusiness theme
Furthermore, make sure that your BuddyPress installation with BP Default theme activated, is working as expected before changing themes or adding BP-compatible plugins.
In reply to: [Resolved] After upgrade my group nav is not correctI will assume it was an easy fix. Marking this as resolved.
