@midexsoftware you can allow users to post anonymously in bbPress forums in Settings > Forums. As for notifications for each change in the forum, there’s no setting available by default. You could post at bbpress.org/forums/ for more assistance.
In reply to: [Resolved] Blog page exists, don't want Blog page.@benjino blog page has got nothing to do with the bbPress plugin’s settings (Settings > Forums – not discussions). Clear your cache because I see no /blog page in your site.
In reply to: Request membership button?@agreenmail I see the request membership button in all private group screens. BP/WP versions? What theme are you using? Change to Twenty Twelve theme and check if the request membership button is present in your private group
In reply to: [Resolved] Unable to comment in Activity Stream@jpc-solutions what have you done so far to resolve this? Have you tried changing to Twenty Twelve theme or BP Default theme to check if it’s a theme conflict? Have you deactivated plugins batch by batch except BuddyPress to check which is causing the issue?
In reply to: Child vs Stand Alone Themes@dswd what hnla said. Currently, if it’s a BP in multisite, I use BP Default child themes throughout 🙂 Might change it in future, but for now it’s working great.
In reply to: Child vs Stand Alone Themes@dswd depends on the project. If you’re creating a WP theme and want to make it compatible with BuddyPress, simplest requirements are: the_title() and the_content() and using jQuery which comes bundled in WP. That’s it. BuddyPress is compatible with nearly all WordPress themes.
In reply to: Friends and friend request pages not found@dorfman No, the issue is not a common one at all.
– Go to Settings > BuddyPress > Components and make sure that the Friend Connections component is enabled.
– Change to Twenty Twelve or the BP Default theme.
– If those are still missing, then re-upload BuddyPress manually e.g. s/FTP.In reply to: Members page side bar@naplpm BuddyPress components are rendered using the default layout of your theme’s page.php file. https://codex.buddypress.org/developer/theme-development/a-quick-look-at-1-7-theme-compatibility/ More leeway in template layouts come BP 1.8
In reply to: "Create a Page" functionality in BuddyPress?@rickkumar you can post an enhancement request in BuddyPress Trac. Heard that @sbrajesh is coming out with a BP Pages plugin sometime this month or next.

In reply to: How to change number of topics on forum pageI wish to change the number of forum topics displayed on a page.
@koreancandy Are you using bbPress forums plugin or not? Are you on single WP install or did you create a Network/multisite?
In reply to: Compatibility Help Please!!@wpgoddess Yes, it will be good to know what the dev comes up with revised buddypress.php. Double-check that the_title and the_content are there. Good luck.
In reply to: Compatibility Help Please!!@wpgoddess There could still be a way to salvage the situation with your premium theme. Open up your theme’s page.php file and Save As > buddypress.php file. Ask your theme dev that we need the_title() and the_content() in buddypress.php and that will facilitate compatibility process. Upload that revised buddypress.php into your theme folder in server. It’s possible that you might need to tweak some styling but you should be good to go.
Tip: if you have bbPress sitewide/group forums installed, you can copy the revised buddypress.php with the_title and the_content and Save As > bbPress.php and upload to theme folder in server as well.
In reply to: Close notifications message not working@alimh WP/BP versions? Theme used? Which browser? Plugins installed? Have you checked if everything’s working if you use BP Default theme?
In reply to: changing blog id for multi-buddypress.@hungrygolf
RE Enable Multiblog – Where did you get “bp-config.php”? You should add enable_multiblog in wp-config.php just before /* That’s all, … Happy blogging. */ as posted at https://codex.buddypress.org/developer/developer-docs/using-multisite-with-buddypress/bp_enable_multiblog/ And, you should activate BuddyPress sitewide, i.e., via Network Admin > Plugins, not in individual site.Do not touch the database. If you want a subsite as your primary BuddyPress site, then see section on configure the BP_ROOT_BLOG https://codex.buddypress.org/user/install-buddypress-on-a-secondary-blog/
In reply to: Using BuddyPress for Personnel Data@gskalra Yes, BuddyPress can. https://codex.buddypress.org/
In reply to: [Resolved] members-loop gap issue@caspergrimaldi Adding width, height and a float can make alignments consistent
#members-list li {
float: left;
height: 150px;
width: 120px;
}
Adjust to tasteIn reply to: changing blog id for multi-buddypress.@hungrygolf best place to get assistance with the plugin is at plugin dev’s site forums. Did you add enable_multiblog per plugin instructions.
In reply to: User Registration Not Working@hugirl if it’s not the plugins, did you check if it’s a theme issue and change to Twenty Twelve theme to confirm?
In reply to: Member list displaying twice@rairai-ni basic troubleshooting -> deactivate gantry plugin and change to Twenty Twelve theme and check if the issue is gone. If it is, then you have to contact the gantry plugin/theme dev about this issue or check out the gantry forums re BP issues.
In reply to: How to change number of topics on forum page@koreancandy you can set number of topics to show at Settings > Forums panel.

In reply to: Compatibility Help Please!!@wpgoddess As of BP 1.7, you no longer need to install/activate the BP Template Pack plugin and go through the compatibility process to make your WP theme compatible with BuddyPress. That’s why “The site looked better styled before I installed the compatibility pack“.
You’d have to deactivate/delete the BP Template Pack plugin and remove the 6 BuddyPress folders transferred to your theme’s folder in server. https://codex.buddypress.org/bp-17-upgrading-template-packed-themes/
After you’re done with the above. you could provide url to problematic BP pages in your site or screenshots with additional information.
