In reply to: WooTumblog for buddypress
@tosen haven’t used woo-tumblog plugin. There’s a free plugin http://buddydev.com/plugins/buddyblog/ which will allow BP members to post from front-end in their profile areas. So instead of hiring a dev, you might like to donate to the plugin author instead 🙂

In reply to: BP menu and the /members/ URL@bowes thank you for the information. As you mentioned in your original post, the menu shows correct URL when you use the BP Default theme. Have you checked whether the theme and the Gantry theme framework and BP plugin are compatible with your WP/BP versions? Have you contacted the theme/plugin authors about this issue?
In reply to: Missing Registration form and password lost page@danny80 just answered #1 in the separate topic you posted. And, there’s no widget or shortcode for lost password.
In reply to: Changing header n loginIn reply to: Adding members to Groups@dramsay to double-check that it’s not a theme issue, change to BP Default theme, clear cache, and then go to Groups directory page and click on Join Group. By the way, did you check if the Razor theme is compatible with your BP/WP versions?

In reply to: Functions.php Ending tag errorYou must be referring to this file https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/1.6.4/bp-themes/bp-default/functions.php
There’s no 8? in that file. Have you tried downloading a fresh copy of BuddyPress and re-uploading it to server?

In reply to: Need help with post button in a responsive layoutbut is it possible to write something like if(user_login_responsive view() avatar display none? and throw it in my function.php?
@charlietech Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Suffusion theme responsive now? If so, you just add the style changes under media query breakpoint per suffusion theme’s style.css file in main theme or child theme.
In reply to: "You cannot remove all administrators from a group."@johnnyjonjon BP 1.7 beta or BP 1.7 RC 1? what theme are you using? what plugins do you have installed? If you change to BP Default theme and clear cache, is the issue resolved or not?
In reply to: Site compatibility with BuddypressI renamed the three files as BP Compat asked…not sure what I need to do.
@latenightbeeradvocate first, it looks like you’re using an old version of WP/BP since I can only see jQuery 1.7.1 near the footer as the head area is non-existent on that page. What versions of WP/BP are you on?
If you’re using old WP/BP version, then you need to install, activate the BP Template Pack plugin then go through Appearance > BP Compatibility process. Then you need to change 17 files from the BP templates transferred to your The Style theme folder in server.
If you have a new installation (not live site yet), you could already use BP 1.7 RC1.
First delete the 6 BP folders transferred to your theme folder in server if you ran Appearance > BP Compatibility. Then install and activate BuddyPress 1.7 RC 1 and it will automagically render BP pages in your site. If there’s an issue, it’s possible that your theme author made some changes to the templating system. There’s a way to resolve this though..In reply to: Date format and language@naturalworldstm my question was based on the previous post, not the original post. So just to make sure that it’s not your default install that’s causing the issue.
– Check if any changes were made in your Settings > General. Make sure you’re using the UTC+/- selection instead of city name.
– Deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress, refresh browser and check if time is corrected. In reply to: Need help with post button in a responsive layout@charlietech What theme are you using? You can either a) just use CSS to hide the avatar and then move the status update box to the left or b) remove lines 16 through 20 of post-form.php and then adjust style of status update form in your theme’s style.css
In reply to: bp blog functions@somdefabrica double-check the privacy settings of your blog in subsite. It must allow indexing by robots/google.
In reply to: [resolved] Avatars missing after database transfer“So what url are they showing, where are the links trying to grab the images from”
How to I find this information, so I can tell you.@b1gft it means. When you hover on where the avatar is supposed to be on the page, what’s the url to the image that shows up in status bar? e.g. … wp-content/uploads/avatars/ etc or something else?
In reply to: Adding activity into a widget@masseyn something like this -> http://buddydev.com/plugins/buddypress-sitewide-activity-widget/

@naturalworldstm not at this time. There’s a new function which combines primary/secondary nav menus into one https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4629 scheduled for BP 1.7In reply to: Date format and language@naturalworldstm there are a couple of BP media plugins. Are you referring to https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-media/ ? if so, please also post at their support forums https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/buddypress-media
