In reply to: Avatar Cropping Error
@rushster Upgrade to BP 1.6.5, change to BP Default theme, and check if avatar cropping issue is fixed in your installation.
In reply to: Changing header n login@boiy looks more like a regular WP issue rather than a BuddyPress issue. Which login page are you referring to? wp-login.php does not have a header nor footer
In reply to: [Resolved] 1.6.5 crashes pages with shortcodeIt does have a short code for showing the activty stream on FrontPage
@bibliata Why use a shortcode? Have you tried making the Activity page as front page in Settings > Reading and creating a new page e.g. Blog, and set Blog for your posts in the same panel?
In reply to: [Resolved] Creating Category Label In Forums@virtualsouq yes
In reply to: Site compatibility with BuddypressI had just come across a thread yesterday on the BuddyPress site about how to edit our header, footer, etc. PHP files so that BuddyPress would work
@nasc generally, that would be the case if you were still on BP 1.6.5 or below. BP 1.7 beta and RC versions should automagically insert BP template files into your theme if your theme adheres to the WP templating system otherwise it won’t work.
One way to resolve this is to create a file named buddypress.php which you would need to upload your theme’s folder in server. buddypress.php should contain the HTML structure of a page with sidebar or full-width (up to you and the theme author) as well as the_title() and the_content()
As an aside, if you’re going to have bbPress sitewide/group forums, you would need a bbpress.php file as well. Copy the content of the buddypress.php file into bbpress.php and upload the latter into theme’s folder in server as well.
In reply to: Post update Button not there@equinestaff contact theme author of Scholar theme or check out their forums, you might need to update the theme. Not quite sure, but it could just be a matter of updating the JS file.
In reply to: dating siteis there any buddy press based website that i can check out fully using all the features or a full BP live demo?
@istvankob sure there is http://testbp.org/ where you can create an account and check out the default installation (BP trunk, bbPress trunk, on Twenty Twelve theme) as a regular member of the site.
@isisjade Where is BuddyPress activated? In main site (default) or did you define it to work in subsite? Did you activate BuddyPress in main/subsite or did you activate it sitewide? By the same token did you activate bbPress where BuddyPress is activated (main/subsite)?
In reply to: wp-login.php as a templatetrying to use wp-login.php as a template for buddypress
@rishikant you can see how it’s done in this tutorial http://wpmu.org/how-to-build-a-facebook-style-members-only-wordpress-buddypress-site/
In reply to: Missing Registration form and password lost pagewhen I click on register page to view, it goes to home page and there is no registration form
@danny80 if you’re logged in and go to the register page, it will redirect you to the home page by page. So log out first, then go check your register page.
@discdemo you can assign front page and bog page in Settings > Reading whether or not BuddyPress is activated. What theme are you using?
In reply to: Group Avatar Background Color@asoldier looks like BuddyPress is not activated in your site at this time. Closing this topic.
Please create a new topic should the need arise. In reply to: Pagination for BP-Profile-Search plugin@sandeepandugula please also post at plugin’s support forums https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/bp-profile-search
EDIT – I see you posted there but in a resolved thread. Please start a new thread in that forum so your issue would get the attention it deserves. Thanks.
@kasarlaravi That would entail some modifications to your template files. BuddyPress 1.7 is coming out soon and you would be able to import BP’s internal Group Forums into bbPress plugin where that functionality is available by default.
In reply to: [Resolved] Empty pages displaying after Updates@mgkoller Thanks for posting what the issue was.

@bajachick to double-check if it’s a theme issue, please change to Twenty Twelve. Even if the layout is not aligned, check if the comment button in activity stream works.
In reply to: Post update Button not there@equinestaff sorry, cannot replicate. If you change to BP default theme, does the same issue show up for the post update button?
In reply to: About Me Sectionhow can i have an βAbout meβ section in the registration … keywords
“About me” section like http://testbp.org/members/johnjamesjacoby/profile/ was done by creating a new Profile Field Group then adding xprofile fields for that group. As for keywords, you could create radio or multiple select boxes et al with defined keywords for members to choose from or create a text boxes with instructions to members to list interests separated by commas
In reply to: Group Avatar uploaded to C:\In reply to: dating site@istvankob per scan, none exactly. You could as of BP 1.6.5 use any WP theme with the BP Template Pack plugin and go through the template compatibility proccess. Or, you can wait for BP 1.7 where theme compatibility is assured in 99% of the WP themes, i.e. you won’t need BP Template Pack plugin at all
