I would suggest changing theme instead 🙂
In reply to: can anybody make compatible comfy pro theme@parniaznet given that you have a closed site and that you have a commercial theme, best bet would be to contact theme author about JS/AJAX conflicts. http://deluxethemes.com/faq/ notes lifetime theme support/update
@garrickbs In upcoming BuddyPress 1.7, theme compatibility is made easy in addition to other new features http://wpmu.org/7-exciting-new-features-in-buddypress-1-7/
If you have a new installation, I suggest setting up WP 3.5.1 with download BP 1.7 beta 1 . If you want forums, download bbPress beta 2. Activate your theme and check it out.

In reply to: BuddyPress CompatibleChange to BP Default theme, is the issue resolved? I haven’t seen that happening with the WP themes I’ve tested so far with BP 1.7 beta and trunk.
In reply to: NSFW: Comments break theme@brdrecovery First adult/erotic story sites require NSFW (not safe for work) warning in the title at the very least. I’ve added it above in title and content.
Second, that theme has not been updated for two years. And the theme author has dropped support for that theme.
Third, You should not require anyone to register in order to help you out. Provide a throw-away test username and password.
Second that. @hnla is great 🙂
In reply to: Buddypress site tracking misses most blogsIn reply to: BuddyPress menu not working after upgrade to 1.6.4@figu What theme are you using? From which version of BP did you upgrade? Did you also upgrade to WP 3.5.1?
You’re welcome. Marking this as resolved.

In adminbar/toolbar choose link My Sites > Network Admin > Sites and click on “Dashboard” link under a site which is not showing up in Blogs Directory. Go to Settings > Reading > Search Engine Visibility – ” Discourage search engines from indexing this site” is not checked.
In reply to: Forums created page does not work@zcthorn many variables concerned here. Did you follow instructions at https://codex.buddypress.org/user/setting-up-a-new-installation/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/
In reply to: User registration error message@pdxpogo that error is related to the BuddyPress Registration Options plugin. Someone posted a workaround and another uploaded his own version of the plugin at https://wordpress.org/support/topic/getting-new-warning-please-help-fast-urgent?replies=24 No guarantees here.
@km-schafer-1 All subsites should be visible in Blogs Directory page by all unless Admin has changed privacy settings in Settings > Privacy from public to the other in some blogs.
In reply to: Error when mention userChange to BP Default theme, see if issue is resolved.
Also, I may be wrong but looks like there are some plugins listed which have not been updated for some time. Have you tried deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress then activating others one by one to check which is causing the conflict?Btw, what is the complete error printed out?
In reply to: can anybody make compatible comfy pro theme@parniaznet only saw this issue reported in older versions of WP/BP. What are your WP/BP versions?
If you’re on the latest WP/BP versions, then change to BP Default theme and check if avatar cropping issue is corrected.
In reply to: Skip Registration and Activation? It seems kind of anti intuitive that someone who signs up for my wordpress site has to then ALSO sign up for my network?
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/join-my-multisite/ by @ipstenu would pretty much address what you need in your network

Marking this as resolved. In reply to: BuddyPress CompatibleI didn’t see any duplicate groups in the image you posted above. You would have to check whether there are duplicate entries in your database?
While testing BP 1.7 trunk, I suggest that you revert to the BP Default theme and deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress. Clear cache and check out the BP components pages.

In reply to: Assigning new pages to BuddyPress — Possible?I want to assign my Site Tracking to a different page.
@km-schafer-1
1. wp-admin Pages > Add New and title it “Sites” then click Publish
2. wp-admin Settings > BuddyPress > Pages and assign the new Sites page to site trackingAlso, every time I create a new site, when I click on it, I am taken to another installation of WordPress.
Something’s gone awry with your multisite installation. Did you follow instructions at https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network ?
At this stage, deactivate BuddyPress then create a subsite. If you are still being redirected to another WP install, please post the issue at https://wordpress.org/support/forum/multisite
Please make sure that your multisite issue is resolved before re-activating BuddyPress.
