@parniaznet initial scan of theme demo http://deluxethemes.com/comfy/about/ reveals that you only need to create two or three files for BP compatibility. I’ll post the link to the instructions later today.

@patrykos360 https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/roadmap – 8 more tickets at this time for BP 1.7. Yes, you will no longer have to edit the BP template files.

You can test BP 1.7 out by downloading trunk version via:
SVN – svn co https://buddypress.svn.wordpress.org/trunk/ OR
ZIP file – https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/trunk then click on “Zip Archive” near bottom of page and download to computer hard drive. Rename the zip folder from trunk-xxx to buddypress before uploading.

@jackalo9 Open up BP Template Pack plugin’s bp.css file in your server wp-content/plugins/bp-template-pack/ and replace all styles with http://pastebin.com/BKW3ZD8r and adjust to taste

@cybohmoob Please start a new topic instead of posting in a two-year-old thread. Do provide more information there e.g. WP/BP versions? What theme are you using? Is the issue resolved if you change to BP default theme? What other actions have you done to troubleshoot the issue?

They tried to help me resolve it but couldn’t figure out how to override the white out of the submit button.

@jackalo9 Strange, I would have imagined that the theme author would have been able to help you out. What theme are you using? Site URL? You can override any style coming from bp.css at any point in your own theme’s style.css file.

Per check in theme’s product page at TF, the theme has not been updated since October 12, 2012, so the code hasn’t changed by then. This means that the instructions posted last October 2012 still stand and it worked before.

At this point, I recommend either you wait for BP 1.7 where BP Template Pack is no longer needed for BP template files, or contact the theme author for support and point the author to the post with the instructions.

It is giving this error to pages I have manually created.

@webifiedgeek what do you mean by “pages manually created”? Is this a page template you created? Is the issue corrected if you change to BP Default theme?

@patrykos360 that template pack instruction for Continuum was made in October 2012 and it worked out very well for the person I helped out. The code may have changed since then. I opened the pastebin.com links you posted for page.php, sidebar.php, etc. to double-check the code but your pastebins do not have any content.

@thomasboerre yes, something’s missing in your multisite installation. Deactivate BuddyPress. Please resolve the multisite issue before activating BuddyPress again.

Follow precisely the instructions written https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network
Based on what you’ve posted above at the very least – a) define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true); should be above “/* That’s all, stop editing! …” not just below DB information and b) you’re missing Step 4 – Enabling the Network – wherein you’re suppposed to add more in wp-config.php

@thomasboerre how did you “delete” BuddyPress? Did you read BP Codex page https://codex.buddypress.org/user/buddypress-site-administration/deleting-buddypress/ first before removing “all” BP tables?

What theme are you using? Have you tried changing to BP Default theme to see if issue is resolved?

What plugins are installed? Have you tried deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress to check if wp-admin shows up as expected? If that works, activate plugins one by one to check which is causing the mystery of the missing toolbar.

I had this PageLines plugin enabled that caused the whole thing!

@b2550 the forums page is the tip of the iceberg.
#.URZ6pmf_34E is appended to the URL’s of many of your pages including WP’s archive pages and BP’s user profiles, and I find xxx/index.php/xxx in one of your site URL’s.

I can only conclude that you are on a Windows server and something went awry with additions to the site’s .htaccess file in addition to using the option of adding index.php to your permalinks for pretty permalinks. That is not going to work with BuddyPress.

Please deactivate BuddyPress and resolve permalinks before activating it again.

@tuxkapono @tux-kapono Your account was blocked because: a) you posted a link to site which had numerous pop-ups when I checked it out and b) the link you posted had no direct relevance to the topics where you added the link. Those of course led to the conclusion that you were a spammer along with 7-8 other spammers I blocked around that time. We try to keep the forums as clean and free from spammers and spam as much as possible.

Given that you came back to explain your side, I have unblocked “Tux Kapono” and you may resume using it to post in BP forums.

@voopress If you mean how to integrate WP Video Posts with BuddyPress, then what you’re asking for requires some coding time which is way beyond the scope of this forum support.

Otherwise, I see that the plugin dev had answered most of the support tickets in the plugin’s WP support forum. Do be patient or code it yourself or hire a developer to do so. Could be that the dev’s busy with another project or something else. Being sarcastic in the forums writing “Really, another dead plugin?” is not a good thing at all.
