@versipellis What’s the name of the plugin and what’s the name of the theme?
In reply to: BP not working@c930586 many reasons. Within a month, there could have been hundreds of new members and/or you added new plugins and/or changed to resource-heavy theme, etc. Did you contact webhost tech support? They could tell you what’s up with the blank pages and how to resolve them.
In reply to: Do I want to install on addon domain or subdomain@lynneab you would want to go multisite with a subdomain or subdirectory. Just define that your BP will run on the subsite/secondary blog https://codex.buddypress.org/user/install-buddypress-on-a-secondary-blog/

In reply to: HELLO?!?! Any Moderators?I was under the impression that the point of the forum was to get help/answers to issues.
@jwf3773 Sure it is. However, holding moderators as if they were accountable for third-party plugins per your call out in topic title “HELLO?!?! Any Moderators?” is not kosher π Please do post support requests for this plugin at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/bp-group-reviews
Cheers.In reply to: Not sending New User's password@resom That’s right.
Have those who have not “received” activation emails checked their spam folders? Unfortunately, that happens even without BP activated.
In reply to: Not sending New User's passwordIt happens with certain webhosts. Determine whether it’s your installation which is not sending the email or whether your users are not receiving the email for some reason or another (possibly in spam folder?)
Check out “BuddyPress isnβt sending out emails” section in this page https://codex.buddypress.org/user/faq/
Waw it works!!!!!
Thank goodness! π
Marking this as resolved.
In reply to: message page absent@kebecweb as @mitesh-patel mentioned above, please do not post admin credentials in public forums and the issue is the username with space. I only asked for testuser account to see the issue. I have deleted the info you posted above and I strongly recommend that you change admin credentials in your site as well right now.
In reply to: message page absent@kebecweb have you tried deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress to see if issue is resolved?
Feel free to post a testuser username and password@patrykos360 You’re welcome.
Please create a new topic for “limiting links on the menu”, this topic is resolved.
In new topic, please be more specific about what kind of links are limited, in what menu and where it’s located, site url or any information which could help the volunteer help you.
In reply to: New users but not one confirms emailsIn reply to: Accepting groupsOther than creating a plugin for that, the simplest/cleanest alternative is to create a form where members can request for a group OR create forum specific for such requests. You can create the group, and promote the one who requested for the group as Group Admin.
In reply to: Spammer bypassed group creation`I have group creation disabled and users have to fill in a form to have us manually create their group.`
The spammer might have hacked into the Site/Super Admin account. Backup database. Curious what’s the username used by the hacker? Check activity of said “member” and remove/delete anything created by said member then delete from users. Do you still have a username “admin”? Then create another username for your admin account and then demote the “admin” to suscriber in wp-admin or remove completely.
https://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_My_site_was_hackedhttps://codex.buddypress.org/legacy/configuring-components-v1-6/#users-profile-fields
Only add the profile fields you want during registration on the base group. Add new Profile Field Group/s for the fields you want the members to fill in later.
In reply to: BP Template pack step 3@getpeppered Based on the codes you posted in pastebin.com (you have no footer code by the way) the theme authors of the AIT Rounder theme are not using the normal WP template files and instead have rewritten it and made it very difficult to reverse engineer the theme’s proprietary code just to get the HTML tags for Step 3 of the BP Compatibility process.
At this point, I suggest that you contact the theme authors about providing assistance for Step 3 of the BP compatibility process. As I mentioned above, you would need to change 17 template files from the BP folders in your server. Here are examples of changes in 17 files
http://wp.me/p1I84P-1B and http://wp.me/p1I84P-31In reply to: BP Template pack step 3Initial scan reveals that you would have to change 17 files from the BP folders transferred to your Rounder theme in server during the BP compatibility process. Know that in come BP version 1.7, you won’t need to do the compatibility process anymore.
If you don’t want to wait and therefore continue with the compatibility process, open up your theme’s header.php file, copy all, paste to pastebin.com, click submit and post the generated URL here. Do the same for your theme’s page.php, index.php, sidebar.php and footer.php files.

you might need to contact your webhost tech supportIn reply to: Reduce size of Photos on Activity page.I thought the information I give on the version of the scripts, would do.
Not really. There are many images in the activity stream including avatars, it would be hard to keep guessing what the issue is. If you use Firefox or Chrome, just right click > Inspect Element on the image uploaded by u-forums and you’ll see the HTML tag surrounding that image e.g. div class=”u-forum-image” (guess only) and add something like this to your theme’s style.css file .
`div.u-forum-image {
width: 350px;
height: auto;
}`In reply to: Error in creating topic@heidilf it has been a long time since I saw this error reported in BP forums. Btw, you only have group forums installed in synergycommons.net per my recent check. Looking back at old reports, following check/action could help you (backup DB before making any changes, just in case):
1. For group forums, a bb-config.php file should have been created at the root of your WP install, the same level where wp-config.php is. If you moved your installation from another server, make sure that you updated the DB information in your bb-config.php file as well.
2. Check if 7 xxx_bb_xxx tables were created in your database see https://codex.buddypress.org/user/setting-up-a-new-installation/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/#bbpress-forums-tables-in-database
3. You might have to make some DB changes via phpMyAdmin re forum ID http://buddydev.com/support/forums/topic/error-when-creating-topics/ and http://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/buddypress-groupforums-not-working
In reply to: Reduce size of Photos on Activity page.@b1gft Photos uploaded via…? site URL?
In reply to: [Resolved] Will not load more pages.@b1gft what theme are you using? Is pagination and load more working in your BP Default theme?
In reply to: Error in creating topicHas your theme been updated for current WP/BP versions? Have you tried changing to BP-Default theme to check if it’s a theme issue?
