    thanks! would be glad to have a solution to that strange issue!

    WOW – great! It sounds better and better :-)

    About the tabs – nevermind… I would leave them anyway (I have already too many, so that it’s not looking nice anymore…). To me “my links” is enough in the links-directory and I really wouldn’t need it on the main activity-page.

    Another question: Could it be (could you check) if the comment in the stream is translatable. It still says “posted a comment on the link” although I have my translation running (but maybe my translation has errors…)

    So – good night – it’s already pretty late here in Switzerland :-)

    r-a-y: This plugin just rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why? It is so simple and so integrated in the normal activity-flow. Awesome! I just commented on the bp-links-plugin, that I think it is a little too “complicated”… Thanks for this!

    @MrMaz

    Yes, the comments ARE in the activity-stream, but not as a comment to the activity, but like an update on it’s own (linked to the link page) – I hope you get me. I can reply/comment a link-comment. But I can also comment on a link-activity in the stream without showing the comment as a comment on the link page (wooow, that sounds complicated!)

    Don’t get me wrong – I think it’s a great plugin (therefore I translated it). But I would like it even more, when it would be more implemented in the activity-stream. Why all those extra-tabs, when the end-user is used to have everything in the stream. Then I would just need a filter (that is already there) and not an extra my-links-tab.

    I think it should be possible, because brajesh somhow did it in the upcoming gallery-plugin. It shows the pictures in the stream and the comments made on a picture, appear attached to it also in the stream.

    Those are just some thoughts to keep BP clean and simple with all the functions and plugins to come… Otherwise we will have tons of tabs and special pages…

    Hope this is constructive! :-)

    A couple other things – now that it’s working :-)

    1. When I post from BP to twitter the @ gets printed as “faboo”. I think it’s good, that it’s not an @, but why not just delete the @-mention instead of a strange word (if it’s on purpose…)

    2. I would leave the Member-Profile-Link, too!

    3. If the message comes from twitter to BP in the acitvity it writes “posted an tweet” – I am no english-crack, but I guess that “an” is kind of wrong… :-)

    By the way: GREAT plugin!

    It’s now working… it was not the www, but I had BP installed in a subblog, and took the root as callback url – now it’s working :-)

    By the way: Now I see the checkbox, but because only a few people are using twitter here I would like to hide the twitter-settings-message. Would that be possible?

    As soon as you give out the .pot file, I will translate it into german (found out it’s quite easy :-)

    PS: The sidebar-issue on the settingspage is still there ;-)

    @miguael

    And another small thing: When I comment on my own link, I get notified :-)

    @miguael

    Just found, that everything translates just fine. BUT – I don’t know, if it is because of the translation… in the Links-Directory it now shows me no content as soon as I try to filter… Any ideas?

    @miguael

    Participant

    So, that I don’t just request things… I just made a german-translation… My first-ever :-).

    Hope it works…

    Could it be that some stuff, does not translate correctly (some of the filters etc)?

    Where do you want the translation? :-) (just contact me with pm)

    Wow – this plugin is almost perfect. Really nice work with the UI!

    To me it has one downside: It does not show the pictures in the activity-stream itself. And the comments are not the same (interlinked) with the activity-comments. To me the activity-stream is THE central part of BP, would be great if everything is already in there (not only text).

    I don’t know, probably that is hard to accomplish…! Or do you think about adding this in future versions! Would be just awesome!!!

    What did I do wrong, when I don’t see that checkbox? I only see the sentence underneath the Update-Field “Want to tweet this message to? Check your tweetstream settings.”

    Could that have something to do with the blank-screen I mentioned after authorizing?

    Ps: The settings-page messes-up the layout. You don’t see it well in the default theme, but the widgets (whole sidebar?) are gone…

    Same with me

    GREAT GREAT GREAT Plugin – was waiting for something like this. Now I am waiting for the first tweets to appear :-)

    Some Feature-Requests that are important to me:

    1. An option to choose, if I want synching both-ways, or just one way BP->Twitter // Twitter->BP (or would that be doable with just choosing read-permission in the twitter-api?)

    2. Translatable: I would need to localize it. Could you add support for that and a .pot-file?

    Ps: After authorizing the redirect showed a blank-page (with the token-adress) – should that be?

    Ps2: Really excited! :-)

    It really is a strange and very BAD issue, Andy!

    To narrow it down in my case:

    It only seems to happen to random users (some see their blogs, some don’t)

    If it happens:

    1. The user doesn’t see the blog listed under “my blogs” in the admin-bar

    2. The blog isn’t listed in the blog-directory

    3. In the profile the “my blogs”-Tab says there is (1) Blog, but when you click on it it’s empty

    4. You CAN access the blog with the direct URL

    5. You CAN access the backend from the blog

    6. When writing a new post it DOES appear in the activity

    So far. Hopefully it helps to narrow and hunt down that strange bug!

    @David – didn’t help me. So we keep up the posting here until someone hunts the bug down!!! :-)

    Similar troubles in this thread: https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/nothing-appearing-under-my-blogs

    STRANGE – and very BAD :-(

    Help, Andy!!! :-)

    I just tried it on a different test-install… strange: There it works!

    Where it does not work, it’s a subdirectories-install and where it works, it’s on subdomains…

    Any ideas (although now it seems, that it has not much to do with BP).

    @miguael

    Participant

    Has someone a test-install to maybe doublecheck that issue???

    @miguael

    Participant

    Thanks David!!! Maybe I have to do that…

    But I still think and hope, that Andy should have a solution to this (alot of people having this issue, and maybe more didn’t find out yet…)

    @miguael

    Participant

    Thanks Andy, looking really forward to it! As I have mentioned before – I like it very much as it is now (without a pointless extra tab) – but it doesn’t pull acitvity without visiting the admin-area and push the button (same stuff with some other issues on the twitter-plugin)

    See my older thread with more detail here: https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/external-group-blogs-group-twitter-doesnt-work

    Before I mess with the DB, I hope someone could hunt the bug down…!

    I am kind of desperate here…!

    @miguael

    Hmmmm – no, I logged in with different users… shows nothing.

    Yeah – I am using the resently-sctive-widget too, but still want to use the online-widget.

    Any others having the same issue? Or could someone test it? :-)

    THANX

    Sorry, found out, that a mu-plugin caused that…

    I just upgraded to 1.2 stable…

    It is a real tragedy!!! :-( As described above, some user-blogs just disappeared. They are still there, but not anymore under “my blogs”, not in the directory etc etc…

    Can anyone help??? I think that should/could be a task for andy or some of the gurus… I cannot do, what some did: Just a fresh DB (Sorry I am just not good and brave enough for that!!!).

    Any help appreciated.

    PS. It runds on a subdirectories-install…

    @miguael

    I am still on trunk and will check that as soon as I updated to 1.2…

    Two of my users having a similar issue (probably more, but not reported). Their blogs “disappeared” – meaning, not anymore under “my blogs” in the admin-bar and it shows (0) blogs in their profile and they are not listed anymore in the directory. BUT they are there – reachable through the url…

    Strange and not very good… :-(

    I guess it is not possible that it had something to do with the chosen theme in their blog, right?! They had the same theme… (by the way: the BP-Update to 1.2trunk broke those themes… strange also…)

    Any help would be appreciated!

    I will also come back to the issue as soon as I updated…
