In reply to: Blue @ link lists incorrect name.
@r-a-y sorry to bombard you with messages.
To recreate this what I have to do is log in as another user and then go into the members directory. I click on a few members and click on the ? to view the identifier on a few profiles.
I then log out. When I log back in as admin I can go to the members page and do the same as the above but the second mention of the identifier in the box after clicking on the ? displays the username of the person I was previously logged in as.
Can you try to duplicate it?
In reply to: Blue @ link lists incorrect name.@r-a-y Just to let you know that I am using the other bit of code you supplied to show ONLY usernames even on a profile page. Not sure if that plays a part. The identifiers are fine when I log in as a user but it’s just as admin when they are wrong.
Can anyone else duplicate this?
In reply to: Blue @ link lists incorrect name.@r-a-y yeah it’s no big deal. Only admin can see that so it’s not a worry. I’m still getting the wrong identifier when logged in as admin.
It’s odd as sometimes it displays the correct one for someone but then keeps that username for the rest. I’ll deactivate other plugins and see what happens. Will keep you posted! In reply to: Blue @ link lists incorrect name.@r-a-y
Oooh just noticed by the way when you are on a member’s profile page as admin it is their display name that is displayed in the admin options in the tool bar at the top of the page.
Not sure if anyone has pointed this out before but thought you would want to know.
Cheers r-a-y!In reply to: Blue @ link lists incorrect name.@r-a-y This is a bit of a mystery r-a-y!
Just updated to 0.57 and it looks like the fix works for regular members.
For some bizarre reason when I login as admin though the first profile I look at is correct with the correct identifier name but then everyone I look at after that is displaying the identifier as the same as the original one.Really bizarre.
Could you try it and see if you get the same thing. It is only happening on my admin account from what i can tell so far.
Thanks. In reply to: Members only siteIf you need help, head on over to speak to everyone here: http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=4
It’s the developer’s forum. I’ll be around on there if you need anything too!
In reply to: Members only site@matrac Yes it is totally possible.
Best plugin around is S2Member. Download the free version and just set the access levels to require level 0 in order to access any pages.
I know that sounds complex but take a look at the plugins documentation and you will see how easy it is.
Hope that helps! In reply to: Fatal Error when trying to Delete UserThanks so much for this, works a treat!
In reply to: WP 3.0 – BP 1.2.5 500 Error on User DeleteIs there going to be a 1.2.5.1 release with these little fixes in soon?
@finni3 Thanks so much, really appreciate it! I’ll see what I can use, in the meantime if anyone has one for juts a SINGLE install then that would be great!
In reply to: CometChat – Facebook style chat for BuddyPress@lincme cometchat is a nice product that integrates really well with BP though.
I agree at £85 it’s overpriced for us little start ups but at £30 I’d take a punt on it.
$49 for the pro version and they would sell a lot of these. In reply to: CometChat – Facebook style chat for BuddyPress@sakib I agree, this is needed in the BP community, just not at $129. $50 yes but $129 might be pushing it. What do other people think? Anyone going for this?
In reply to: CometChat – Facebook style chat for BuddyPressHahaha, no chance of any special promotions on the price of cometchat whilst it’s still new to buddypress? I really need to get paid!
In reply to: CometChat – Facebook style chat for BuddyPressThanks for the replies that looks great. So can it be set to enable chat to ANYONE or line or just have it as ‘friends only’ chat?
In reply to: CometChat – Facebook style chat for BuddyPressI’ve used comet chat on socialgo before. How easy is it to install on a buddypress site and can you install only the sections you want to?
I wouldn’t want the games for example? If this could simply be installed as a plugin it will no doubt do very well. Does it fully integrate with members too?
Thanks. In reply to: message timestamps are wrongHas this been fixed for 1.2.5.
In my inbox, the time of the last message received is correct but then when you click on the message to read it, it is just displaying, ‘sent sometime ago’ and nothing more specific.
Is this a known bug?
In reply to: BuddyPress 1.2.5 tickets are cleared outOnly just noticed this issue in BP 1.2.4 too.
Seems to reflect the name of who is logged in, rather than who the @mention belongs to. Is this now fixed in 1.2.5?Sorry maybe I’m getting confused by I thought that TRAC only fixed the incorrect ‘Friends’ counts. The same thing happens when you have the ‘BP Follow’ plugin installed. The following counts don’t update either when a user’s account is deleted. I’m not sure if the actual follow plugin would need a code change as well. I expect it will as you can follow anyone – not just your friends.
@apeatling Hey Andy, thought you may want a heads up on the follow plugin issue.
If you delete a member from the admin panel, no ones following totals change to reflect that the user is gone. There is a TRAC for this issue happening with the friends counts (see above) but nothing on following.
Cheers pal!
Ahh right, thanks for that! That covers friends, how about followers? That is affected in the same way.
Could someone confirm this for me and I’ll get it on TRAC.
Cheers.
In reply to: Is WP Supercache okay to use with BP?Hey Paul, cheers for that link. W3 looks like the most comprehensive cache plugin I have seen.
So it obviously won’t try and cache BP pages with them being dynamic? Is there much of a setup to it or is it just a case of installing it and letting it do it’s thing. Not infront of my computer so can’t download it to test right now that’s all.

@r-a-y Once again, you’re a star! Just wanted to check it wasn’t me going mad!
Will await 1.2.5 then!
Thanks!Could someone do me a favour and just quickly check this on a 1.2.4 install with WP 3.0 if you have one.
Log in, move to another members profile page and click on their avatar or display name.
See f it links back to YOUR profile instead of theirs.
Thanks. Not that I’m aware. I’ve edited the forum template tags but not profile.
