No, the Devs has not made this yet it seems. I am not sure if this and/or bp menu toggle for responsive views is going to be incorporated in the next version of BP or not. Though it is high time ( or may have passed the high time) for this.

The closest that comes to that is

Maybe you can ask them for or do yourself the customization to give that time-line look.

Firefox > View > Page style > No style – does show the Search box and I could search.
So it is a theme and css issue.
Other search box appears fine on that page.
