In reply to: Nouveau Member Count stuck on the number one
No it’s not a bugfix so that change will be overwritten next update.
In reply to: Nouveau Member Count stuck on the number oneI’m not sure we have found the problem, we’ve just ruled out a lot of the code. All
bp_get_total_member_countis doing is running a filter, it’s so simple there’s nothing to fix. Could you still have something that’s messing with it?In reply to: Nouveau Member Count stuck on the number oneYep switching theme should not affect it, and it’s only this one call that it’s doing it on. One thing you could try, is calling the master function direct –
bp_core_get_active_member_count()just to see if that behaves any differently. If that does not shed light then it’s down to the workings of the core function, something is different about how it’s applying the excludes list.In reply to: Notification link takes member to WP dashboardFirst step is to switch theme to 2017 or another default theme and deactivate your other plugins to rule out conflicts.
In reply to: Set author profile link to buddypress profileYou could probably do it by overloading your theme, just find the place where it’s adding the post_author link and overload that using a child theme.
The file in question is usually
themes/yourtheme/single.phpsomewhere it will probably be callingget_author_posts_url($author_id)which points to the WP author page, you’d replace that withbp_core_get_user_domain( $author_id ).That’s the general gist if what you need to do, but it might get complicated depending on your theme.
In reply to: Nouveau Member Count stuck on the number oneAh so it’s
includes/members/functions.phpyou need to look at, line 50 is callingbp_get_total_member_count(), it’s called by the legacy theme also so there’s a thing – the same function returning two different numbers depending on the theme, and only on one site.Is it all pages are just the BuddyPress pages?
In reply to: Nouveau Member Count stuck on the number oneJust checking, on the Nouveau Members page the member count is displayed in two places on my test bed. One place is the pagination, where it says it’s displaying 1-20 of 200 members for example. The other place is the All Members tab, which also shows the members count. do both get it wrong?
In reply to: Nouveau Member Count stuck on the number oneBP Nouveau uses a different function to display the members count –
bp_nouveau_pagination()it’s in the fileplugins/buddypress/bp-template/bp-nouveau/members/membes-loop.phpThe same code is used to display the counts for friends. does your friends list display the right number?
In reply to: Base Profile Fields Error on Save ChangesIt’s not a known bug so you will need to rule out the plugins in some way
In reply to: Validated profilemaybe something like this: https://github.com/modemlooper/BuddyVerified
In reply to: Can’t see or edit Register PageYou can add fields via Users/Profile Fields, captcha would normally be added via a plugin. To change the text what I normally do is create a custom language translation file using Poedit.
In reply to: Uploading Profile Pic and Group Pic Show SmallI’d check the JS console for any errors, it’s likely to be a JaveScript conflict.
In reply to: Can’t see or edit Register PageWhen you first set up BP will have automatically created that page for you. Why are you trying to edit it?
In reply to: all comments are showing on buddypress pagesCould it be as simple as disabling comments on pages? Did you check the Discussion settings for that page?
In reply to: all comments are showing on buddypress pagesThat looks like a theme issue to me, it looks like it’s applying the comments to the wrong page.
In reply to: A long load timeLooking at the site it seems to be looking in the right place right now, the only difference that I can see is that there is a defer onload being set, I don’t get that added on my system, it may had a bearing, but not really in terms of why the file is not being found.
In reply to: A long load timeit does, works both sides front and back. What I’m thinking is if we can find out where it’s being redirected to then that could be clue.
In reply to: A long load timeOk, the other thing to check then is any customisations you have made – something is redirecting that file lookup to the wrong place.
Could you install Query Monitor? – it might come up with some better debug info on this.
In reply to: A long load timeCould you try with the Graphene theme? It’s not a default theme but it’s the one I’ve been using and I know it loads the file.
In reply to: Assign multiple member types to a memberI believe you can. the function bp_set_member_type has an append option, meaning you can have more than one type assigned to each member.
In reply to: A long load timeAnd if you deactivate any other plugins and switch to the 2017 theme, does the problem remain?
In reply to: Where is “next” button?2017 should be fine, plugins then…
In reply to: A long load timeI get this quite a lot, anther plugin stopping a js or css file from loading. I notice the error is saying it’s redirecting, it shouldn’t be doing that. Try deactivating WPML and then setting your site language to German, does it still fail to load that file?
In reply to: A long load timeYou never answered my question about that file being located in your server, is it there?
