    Can you believe this? Suddenly, things have changed. I have touched anything and now Twitter>BP OK but BP>Twitter wrong again. A cycling work?

    Hi there I have installed and activated the plugin but I’m stuck on this message I get from the twitter people.

    You’ve successfully granted access to tweestream!

    Simply return to tweestream and enter the following PIN to complete the process.

    where do i do this??

    I am still getting a 404 server response when accessing the TweetStream settings page. It loads fine for me in Firefox but some users have reported that they are being sent to a Yahoo search results page when they try to click the tweetstream settings.

    You can see the 404 error using firebug:

    Did you expand the “GET /tweetstream” item?

    That information is more useful!

    NOOO! I want the @ to go both ways please do not remove that :) If you want to @somebody from BP to twitter then check it if you want to @ somebody just on site then dont check it. Very simple. when you click the @ for twitter make link in stream link to twitter when you @ someone with out checking it then link to the site url.

    Is this even possible?

    @blackphantom Sounsd good to filter the @ out (important!)

    Just another thought: On my facebook-twitter-connection it filters out the whole tweet, when it has an @mention right at the beginning. I think that really makes sense, because those are more or less direct-messages. To me, that would make sense, because leaving them in, doesn’t make sense to other people…

    @Avi M, that happends when you don’t set a callback url when you create the app on twitter.


    @geoffm33    , strange but will look into it

    About the whole @mention thing everybody wants something else i think.

    Maybe there must be an option for the admin to say to filter out completely the @ messages from twitter.

    When turned off then we have some kind of @mention convertion.

    What do you think of that?

    I can’t get to Tweetstream settings on profile pages. The link redirects me to the home of the buddypress installation, so I can’t authorize with Twitter. Ideas?

    @blackphantom it’s the link that reads ‘Check your tweetstream settings’ in Buddypress. It redirects me to the home of the installation (Buddypress is on a subdomain):

    @everyone, i think i found the 404 errors and problem with loading the settings page.

    It looks like the permalinks are in the way. I will look further to resolve the error.

    @Gpo1, yes the then comment on the tweets but the comments won’t be synced to twitter.

    I wonder if my 404 issue and @labrujulaverde issue is the same. Depending on how error handling is setup in htaccess it could be redirecting to home page upon a 404 error.

    Additionally the sidebar does not display in Tweetstream > Settings. I wonder if this is somehow related.

    Well i am searching why it happends, the page does load and show up but still gives a 404. Will ask the bp developers for info.

    @labrujulaverde , you still are redirected to the homepage?

    Great plugin @blackphantom!!, but I have a problem: I have installed the plugin v1.2 running with WPMU 2.9.1 and BP 1.2, and everything was going well (Options page in admin to setup twitter API was ok, and I colud see the Twittstream page in my settings). The problem is that when a user click the first time on ‘Authorize with twitter’, it goes to a twitter page and if the user click on ‘Allow’, it will appear a screen with the following message:

    You’ve successfully granted access to TwitterStreamApp!

    Simply return to TwitterStreamApp and enter the following PIN to complete the process: XXXXXXX

    But when i return to my site I don’t know where I have to introduce this PIN.

    Any help?

    @_dorsvenabili, you forgot to set the callback url when creating the app on twitter.

    On the admin page you can see what the callback url has to be.

    Let me know if it worked.

    @all, problems with pages not loading etc is fixed and will be released with the new version.

    will release it later today.

    The problem was that I created the app on twitter like Client type, not like a Browser type, it’s fixed now.
