    The RSS feed doesn’t work. If you click the RSS feed link from the /links directory you are routed to the home page. When clicking on “comments” on the feed, you are taken to the comment list but site wide activity stream is also viewable underneath the comments.

    I’ve installed the group twitter plugin on my BP 1.2 and WPMU but it doesn’t show the latest tweets so yes, I’ve got the same problem.

    I’m also interested in a plugin like this. I’ve disabled the creation of blogs in the admin menu but when a user is logged in, it still display create blog in the admin bar as well as the user menus.

    @nexia, any chance you can share this TOS plugin?

    Is it even possible to display “custom” xprofile fields in blog posts?

    @Dizziness

    That topic seems related specifically to a plugin.

    I had the “Blog Tracking” disabled in the component setup because I don’t want members to create new blogs. I enabled it and it worked again. The only problem now is that the menu item displays “Create a Blog”. I need to delete that slug.

    I have looked in the database at table “wp_bp_activity_user_activity_cached”. It doesn’t seem to add the activity to that field.

    This is where I got the idea from but it doesn’t seem to work:

    @Peterverkooijen.

    I looked at that thread and was searching around to check if that’s possible. I’m sure I saw a thread somewhere where someone similar tried to do this with a custom xprofile Twitter profile field. Can’t find it now :(

    This is quite a big problem. I deleted a user account but it didn’t delete the forum posts the user made. It only deletes his name in the feed but the content of the topic is still on the forum for the specific group. Now if it was a spammer(s) you would have to filter through all the groups/forums that they created and replied on topics and delete them. This will be quite tedious as you can’t search for the user in the database and delete all the topics related to that user because his name is deleted but not the content. You would have to manually filter through everything and I don’t think it will work.

    John James Jacoby – You mentioned

    “Which version of BP? This will be fixed in 1.2 as I think it’s just a missing or incorrectly named action. “

    Where is this action so that I can insert it into my BP 1.1.3 installation? Is it simple?

    @antonrsaopencirclecoza

    Thanks James for the reply. I’m also using WPMU 2.8.6 and BP 1.1.3.

    I’ve tried doing a reinstall on a second server of mine but the problem persists.

    1. Which version of WPMU are you running? 2.86

    2. Did you install WPMU as a directory or subdomain install? Sub directory

    3. If a directory install, is it in root or in a subdirectory? root

    4. Did you upgraded from a previous version of WPMU? If so, from which version? Nope. Fresh install.

    5. Was WPMU functioning properly before installing/upgrading BuddyPress? Didn’t test WPMU on it’s own. Installed it to use BB

    6. Which version of BuddyPress (BP) are you running? 1.13

    7. Did you upgraded from a previous version of BP? If so, from which version? nope

    8. Do you have any plugins other than BuddyPress installed and activated? Yes. deactivated them all and the problem(s) still occurs.

    9. Are you using the standard BuddyPress themes or customized themes? Standard. Only edited the default css and added a couple of links.

    10. Have you modified the core files in any way? Yes. The delete button next to the code is not working and If I add any chars to the delete string eg: http://socialpress.co.za/friends/activity/delete/123?_wpnonce=30864bbwe2 it does delete but not always. Some members can’t delete. The default delete string does not work. I have also added those same chars to the RSS site wide activity feed as the default one: http://socialpress.co.za/activity/feed doesn’t work.

    11. Do you have any custom functions in bp-custom.php? nope

    12. If running bbPress, which version? Or did your BuddyPress install come with a copy of bbPress built-in? 1.13

    13. Please provide a list of any errors in your server’s log files

    there’s quite allot of these

    SHouldn’t there be a table wp_bp_activity_sitewide on the installation? I’ve looked in the db but it’s not there. I did the default installation.

    14. Which company provides your hosting? Hostgator

    I’m using buddypress 1.13. Here is the url: http://socialpress.co.za. I’ve read everywhere to disable the plugins and I have tried that and re enabled them. Same 404 error page. I have even tried other themes but it still won’t work.

    I also can’t get the RSS site wide activity feed to work: http://socialpress.co.za/activity/feed

    I had to add extra chars to that URL: http://socialpress.co.za/friends/activity/feed and then it works but I know this is not the best solution and for some reason when I add the extra chars aka “friends” to the delete link http://socialpress.co.za/friends/activity/delete/123?_wpnonce=30864bbwe2, it only works for the administrator and not always.

    Back to the topic, everywhere on the site where there is a “delete” button next to the content when clicked gives the 404 page error if I leave the link as it came with BB.

    Here is my permalink setting: /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%

    I’m having the same issue. My RSS site wide activity feed doesn’t work. It’s a clean BB install. Also, when I try to delete anything from wires to status updates, it gives the classic 404 page not found error.

    my rewrite module is turned on but it still won’t work.
