@squaredindex
Have you reviewed:
https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/theme-compatibility-1-7/a-quick-look-at-1-7-theme-compatibility/
If your parent theme has a page.php or index.php in the root directory then copy one of those files over to your child themes root directory and rename it to buddypress.phpIn reply to: 1.7 can’t see buddy press layouts in my theme@philmay
That is good. I wish you the best in your endeavor! Good luck! 🙂In reply to: 1.7 can’t see buddy press layouts in my theme@philmay
If you had checked the link @carlh1 had provided you would see when you click on community that the issue is unresolved. An experienced developer may be able to help but if the theme is over-bloated and doesn’t follow standard WordPress template structures then I am afraid you are in for a hefty price-tag even if you hire one. If you have not already checked it out review:

See if that helps. Based on your previous topics when you mentioned Non Disclosure Agreements your probably going to have a rough time finding anyone that would be willing to sign that. After all BP, Themes, and all plugins that require WordPress to work fall under GNU/GPL because they are derivative works that uses WordPress’s hooks, actions, filters etc. in order to work with WordPress it has to be. Realistically I doubt your site will be any more groundbreaking than anyone else who has created a WP/BP powered community site so it is right silly to require a NDA! I have seen some very amazing sites created with WP & BP but most of them come from top notch experienced web developers and web designers. Please don’t take this as discouraging or negative just set a realistic goal. Either way good luck!In reply to: LInk to inbox / sent messages@arialburnz
You really should open a new topic. Your toolbar not appearing is a separate issue all together. The code @rogercoathup provided is just some PHP function calls combined using the ‘.’ operator stored in a variable. The variable represents what it is equal too. For instance:
$bphelp=”A nice person who tries to help when I can”;
I could echo $bphelp; once it is declared and the result would print “A nice person who tries to help when I can” without the quotes.
Therefore it is easier to declare a variable and use the variable to call those combined functions versus typing it all out. If this sounds Greek as well then consider hiring a developer. By the way don’t mix PHP code in CSS. It wont work but you can use php conditionals to control whether CSS code is executed depending on the condition.In reply to: [Resolved] WordPress Login and Registration Page@cpagan2000
Please do some self help and refer to the codex. That is what it is there for!

Please do not reply on topics almost 3 years old. I replied here:

There is a premium plugin for that here:@scottlush
The only thing I see that does some of those things is:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddymenu-buddylinks/
However I have never tried it myself, and it has not been updated in a while so its hard to say whether it will work with the most current versions of WP & BP. The only other alternative is to code it yourself or hire a developer to do it for you.@scottlush
As a web developer myself I add plugins to the repository because at some point it was a requirement for a client and I just figured I would share it on the WP repository so others could benefit from it. I think this is true with a lot of the plugins on the WP repository as well. There may be a few developers out there that would build a custom plugin to fit your needs as long as you are willing to pay them for their work.In reply to: want to find my wwebside on google, yahoo,…@sid100max
Because you do not know what you are doing. You need to hire a SEO specialists.@elangley
if:<a href="<?php echo bp_loggedin_user_domain(); ?>">Profile</a>Didn’t work for you the try:
<a href="<?php global $current_user; echo home_url() . '/members/' . $current_user->user_login . '/profile/'; ?>">Profile</a>Not tested!
@scottlush
Sorry to inform you again, but there is no plugins that I know of that does this yet!
I say yet because there is the potential to accomplish this but no one has taken on the challenge to fulfill this requirement yet.@scottlush
Negative! Sorry if you was hoping for a better answer but I have not seen this functionality yet and I have been snooping around BuddyPress for a good while. “But you can always build this functionality if you have coding skills.”In reply to: Hire a BP Developer@tayenewm

As site admin click groups nav in your menu, then select the group in which you want to change its avatar. In the tabs below the group avatar select “Admin” then on the next page select “Avatar.” You should see the Upload and Delete avatar options.As a group admin click groups nav in your menu, then select the group in which you are an admin.

In reply to: Implementing Activity Streams on Home Page@wpelliott
Not really sure I am understanding you correctly but if you want the activity stream as your homepage why not just change it in dashboard/settings/reading then select static, and use the dropdown menu to select “Activity.” If your just trying to add activity to whats already there then try this plugin:@ishanna
Just going over some unanswered topics and I see this one. This following/followers is not native to BP so you must be using a plugin so please provide that info when asking for support and when it regards a third party plugin then the best approach is to approach the plugins author. This forum is mainly for BP issues. 3rd party plugin issues should be handled on the plugin authors support page. Good luck!In reply to: Sitewide Activity@rameshwormaharjan
It is not my code, It belongs to @sbrajesh probably the best BP developers out there so the credit belongs to him. Glad it helped you though!In reply to: Site is loading slow@blastblast
What plugins are you using? Also provide the theme, WP/BP versions you are using. It also would not hurt to include the host info including the hosting package you have with them.In reply to: remove “activity” tab from user profile@catwomanbadkitty
It really doesn’t matter but I tested it in bp-custom.php.In reply to: remove “activity” tab from user profilefunction bphelp_remove_activity_from_profile(){ bp_core_remove_nav_item('activity'); } add_action('bp_activity_setup_nav','bphelp_remove_activity_from_profile');In reply to: Exclude admin from redirect login@jdhall1972
