In reply to: Missing BP Compatibility from Appearance Menu
@sam6432
Have you created a custom menu? Please see:
https://codex.buddypress.org/user/setting-up-a-new-installation/how-to-set-up-your-main-site-navigation-using-the-built-in-wordpress-menus/
Also it would be helpful to know the WP/BP versions you are using!
In the future please start a new topic instead of replying to one that is almost 2 years old and may contain outdated information. In reply to: Missing BP Compatibility from Appearance Menu@sam6432
You don’t need the template pack plugin as of BP 1.7 see:
https://codex.buddypress.org/developer/theme-development/a-quick-look-at-1-7-theme-compatibility/In reply to: Limit number of users and groups@sbrajesh
Another awesome freebie! Thank you again Brajesh! As I stated before it is just a thought so either way I am thrilled. My concern is I think some new users may get confused between the two plugins because some users (not all) do not bother reading the full description or even the installation instructions and if it was merged it might save a few support requests because you have all the goodies rolled into one awesome plugin. If you decide otherwise it will still be awesome. Thank you! @mercime Sorry if I got off topic. My apologies! In reply to: Limit number of users and groupsIn reply to: Looking to Hire BuddyPress ExpertIn reply to: Limit number of users and groups@marmuel
BuddyDev is planning on releasing a plugin as you can see in the link below but it has not been released as of yet but you may want to keep an eye out for when it is. Also not sure if it will be premium or a freebie release. In reply to: buddy press forum plugin@shameermohamed50
Just for the sake of simplicity I searched for a video on youtube for you. Pay close attention to the part around 4:30 as it shows how to enable registration.
In reply to: buddy press forum plugin@shameermohamed50
I already briefly touched on how to allow users to register, and how to make a test account.
If you can’t find what you need in the codex, then search google, or maybe even youtube for a tutorial if you need visual instruction. In reply to: buddy press forum plugin@shameermohamed50
As @hnla has already stated the codex is your friend. It is time do do some self help now. Search the codex and use google as well. Good luck!In reply to: Is it possible to allow BP Mention non-English name?@jianzhi
You will probably want to view the info here:
https://codex.buddypress.org/developer/customizing/customizing-labels-messages-and-urls/
here:
https://codex.buddypress.org/user/translations/
And get the language file you need here:

You need to go to dashboard/settings/general and click anyone can register. Then you can create a new test account and in either a different browser or chromes incognito window go to the site and log in with the test account credentials. In reply to: BuddyPress Installation Wizard issue@colourinfusion
Sounds like you didn’t have anyone can register checked before installing buddypress. It is located in dashboard/settings/general. You will need to create them and assign those pages in dashboard/settings/buddypress/pages and make sure you click save settings. In reply to: Friends Preference@sanketrealisticyahooin
The only thing I can suggest at the moment that remotely fits your requirement is:@4ella
I just made a fresh test install of WP 3.6 beta4 and BP 1.8 beta 1 and I activated the bp-default theme and I can not replicate the issue you are having. Must be something weird in your database. In reply to: buddy press forum plugin@shameermohamed50
I am here to help. I just hope I have given you a little more insight that will help you get the results you require. Have a good day!In reply to: buddy press forum plugin@shameermohamed50
Even after you install bbpress you will still need to configure it depending on if you plan on using group forums, sitewide forums, or both. Use this link which I had provided previously to get an idea of setting them up:
https://codex.buddypress.org/user/setting-up-a-new-installation/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/
After you get it set up you may still want to add the forums link to your navigation. The link has already been provided above. Please ready this material, it explains it much more clearly! In reply to: buddy press forum plugin@shameermohamed50
Something is getting lost in the translation here. I know there is a BuddyPress plugin hence we are in the BuddyPress support forums but you keep mentioning a “BuddyPress Forum Plugin.” If you want forums then you will need to install bbpress and use the links I supplied. You can get bbpress here:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/bbpress/
BuddyPress just adds the social networking side of things like activity stream, members directories, extended profiles, adding friends, private messaging etc. If you need to have a forum you will need bbpress. Please do not take this offensively but you need to have a clear understanding of what BuddyPress is and what bbpress is because as stated before as of BuuddyPress 1.7 you will need to install bbpress which is a seperate plugin if forums is a requirement for your project. Have a look in the codex documentation to get a better understanding. Do a google search for BuddyPress and another for bbpress. In reply to: New Private Community Plugin For BP@espellcaste
Thank you, and in future releases I will be using the comments I get to make adjustments but the thing is I will never be able to satisfy everyone’s requirements. You may want it that way but another user may like it the way it is, or want something totally different. I do appreciate the positive comment, I may bump it up to 5 unblocked pages but I plan to release a premium version so I am not certain yet but I do take everything into consideration. Thanks again! 🙂In reply to: buddy press forum plugin@shameermohamed50
The link I supplied above explains the creation of the page. You may also want to add that page to a custom menu:
https://codex.buddypress.org/user/setting-up-a-new-installation/how-to-set-up-your-main-site-navigation-using-the-built-in-wordpress-menus/
As far as I know there is no plugin named BuddyPress Forum Plugin. As stated above I am assuming your referring to bbpress so use the links I have supplied and it should help you out.In reply to: New Private Community Plugin For BP@espellcaste
There is a new version that is totally refactored on the repo.

You need to go to dashboard/settings/general and check the box anyone can register. In reply to: buddy press forum plugin@shameermohamed50
I am assuming you are talking about bbpress forums since BuddyPress no longer comes packaged with bbpress as of BP 1.7 This should help explain how to set it up.

You will get more help if you start a new topic and clearly state your requirement. It is also helpful to include WP/BP versions, theme used, and plugins used.In reply to: Gmail inviter@marathifacebook
I am not trolling, but since you are being rude you can fix your own problem. Good Luck!In reply to: Gmail inviterIf it is shared then you are limited to the CPU resources they allow you. I have used invite anyone and it worked for me so I am just saying that there is the possibility that it is your server, and not the plugin but it could also be other plugins, or even a theme that is causing your issue. Have you tried basic trouble shooting procedures?
