In reply to: [Resolved] export user to csv with more info?
@rubyji
Please don’t reply to threads going on 4 years old as it clutters the forum and bumps a thread that is ancient. You also replied on an almost 2 year old thread here: https://buddypress.org/support/topic/export-users-and-xprofile-data/
I can respect you wanting to help and inform users that this can be accomplished with the plugin you linked too but one reply to the most recent thread is plenty enough.In reply to: Can Buddypress do this?@masten7
To post content a user will be required to be logged in out of the box. For the media part you can use one of the following plugins:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-media/
or:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-activity-plus/
To force the user to create a profile before interaction with the site you can use this plugin:

bp_is_activity_component, bp_is_members_component, bp_is_profile_component, etc.

In reply to: Register and Activate pages not working@modernmedia
Just a piece of friendly advice to keep you from confusing your users, I wouldn’t add register or activate pages to your main menu because once they are registered and activated and logged in then those links will only confuse people when they get redirected to the home page.In reply to: Can users no longer delete their own activity?If anyone else encounters this issue then read the info in the link above and apply the patch @r-a-y supplied then you will be good to go.

Please review:In reply to: Buddypress plugin freezing theme edit@walshfilho
Whats the theme? Sounds more like the theme is the issue rather than buddypress. Have you tried activating a known theme that works with buddypress like twenty thirteen or twenty fourteen to see if the issue persists? If you can edit the theme and menus with those themes then that should tell you that your theme is at fault and you should contact that themes author for support.In reply to: Unable To Install BuddPress PluginIn reply to: hide Members from public@pfriem
I have a premium plugin Private Community For BP that should do what you need if you are interested. You can ask any questions regarding this plugin you have here:

If you hacked the buddypress files directly without creating a child theme or using theme compatibility then unfortunately you will lose those changes when you update BP. If you would like to keep those changes it will now be a pain because you will have to download all of those files you changed in cpanel then build a child theme or use theme compatibility overload and review:
Then change the new templates in your child theme or the the ones you overloaded using template compatibility by reviewing the old templates you modified. That is why it is important to only modify the files in your child theme or the ones in wp-content/themes/YOUR-THEME/buddypress then next time when buddypress has an update you will not have to worry about losing your modifications. As far as text goes you really should be making those changes in a language file. Please review:In reply to: Can I add payment option to registration later on?@kris35
You can use BuddyPress registration for now but I am not sure about once you decided to start charging for memberships how it would effect the retroactive members that had used the BuddyPress registration. It would probably just effect the users after you used a plugin for charging for memberships and not the retroactive members. I believe the S2 Member plugin handles all the registration once installed and configured.In reply to: Can I add payment option to registration later on?@kris35
Have you tried:

?In reply to: Users able to login without account activation@juliusav
What is the other thread you mentioned? Link would be helpful. Besides @r-a-y ‘s advice are you sure the user hasn’t activated their account with the email and when they clicked on it they just gotten the message their account could not be activated? I have encountered that issue before but the user is activated and allowed to login despite what the message says.@michaeltransmissions
Being that this is an isolated bug on your particular installation that I could not replicate I am fairly certain it is a theme or maybe even a plugin you are using.
Edit:
@danpbp beat me to the question of the themeIn reply to: [Resolved] New User Guide – What Options Do I Have?@disrup
Yes you can do that by overloading the template file in a child theme and adding the proper markup in the activate.php file. If your unsure how to accomplish this then do a search as this has been covered many times on the forums. Just keep in mind the directory structure needs to remain intact.In reply to: [Resolved] New User Guide – What Options Do I Have?@disrup
I have to agree with @danbp here as he stated:IMHO the most simple thing to do, is to add a link to the tutorial on the register page with some description. And to add a tutorial item to one of your site menu.
With that said don’t you think a user that has already registered and activated their account on your site would be slightly annoyed at being redirected to a tutorial page every time they login?
@michaeltransmissions
I can’t replicate your issue I just logged in as a test user and deleted an account and the message displayed is:test user1 was successfully deleted.
I am using the most stable versions of WP/BP and the twenty thirteen theme JFYI.
In reply to: Reinstall BuddyPress without 404 errors?@whiteeagle1985
You should always backup your database before introducing any plugin. BuddyPress has never caused me any 404’s unless you have forgotten to associate the BuddyPress pages correctly please review: https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/configure-components/In reply to: [Resolved] Need a plugin to require xprofile fields@samdobrow
Glad I could point you in the right direction and thanks for sharing your CSS solution that others may find helpful as well.In reply to: [Resolved] Need a plugin to require xprofile fields@samdobrow
Have you tried:

It’s been awhile since it was last updated but it should still work.
Good luck!In reply to: Activate component@sam01389
