PS: I can’t close, so making new topic for current request. thx. Plz close.
I found a plugin for this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-disable-activation-reloaded/
Now, i just need to edit the post-registration landing page. If anyone can point me to this, I’d be grateful.
tysm. this is the one i tracked down after my post. much appreciated!
Thank you, Turker. Any ideas or suggestions?
Related, is there a way to possiby include the username in one of the emails which comes after they register? I am not seeing any. So, my concern is they will get stuck trying to get in. Thanks, again.
will do. thx much.
thx Shane. Do you happen to know the function or an example of a function which would work for the buddypress sign in and also registration, if you happen to know? again, thx! (not my theme and so far unable to find out from the author.)
@modemlooper: thank you for your new bpmobile version. The issue with the switching to full view then back is now fixed.
However, has anyone reported a lack of responsiveness to the menu and login buttons? I rebooted to check my end, but the only way i get the menu or login button to respond is if i hold down for a few moments. it then highlights the text as if i’m trying to select it and ultimately shows the feature. thanks or any feedback. appreciate all your hard work on making bp mobile available to us!
@modemlooper: thanks, man. I am trying to test this but came across the switcher issue mentioned in this post:
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/buddypress-mobile-switcher-link-broken/
My theme is custom just very basic as was strongly recommended. The bp-default theme is the main theme it draws from, though.
Thanks for any ideas. I’m stuck on this for now.
Best,
jzHi. Kind of, so depends upon your needs, Dianbuddy. If it’s for certificate, not really. It’s for permissions. Using this though, I allowed for the ability to create a pdf on my end and upload/store in a protected folder using the below.
It will take some configuring, but a one time thing. Once you go through the settings, you can set it and forget it. Also, you may find the same need for another site, so you would then have familiarity with the product.
S2Member.
In this, you can set up multiple paypal tiers and based upon the tier purchased, section off who can see or access.
For groups, I allowed any paid members to access the groups. Unpaid were not permitted. If you need to get more granular for groups, I’m not sure I have a case study for this. But, you may be able to with S2Member using the URI restrictions. For mine, I restricted anything /groups. This meant if any non-paying member tried to access groups, they’d be brought to a custom purchase page. You can see over at massagemommysfeet.com what i did. I haven’t been active on it but lately but the structure should be there.
Hope this helps!

I see this now; ty.
Thx. My issue was there beforehand. I only tried the cache to see why i coukdn’t see the active buudymobile.
By the way, do you know why I wouldn’t see the mobile version on my android? I saw a glimpse of it, then it went away. I had tried that wptouch and it didn’t work for me, so I went back to yours because I have used it on another site with decent success. I’m trying agonyofdafeet.com right now with no joy. I have the other plugin deactivated and even had it uninstalled at one point. I re-installed wptouch because buddymobile wasn’t seeming to show any signs of life while activated. I have cleared my cache. I’ll keep looking, but figured I’d ask if maybe you had seen where it’s not showing within a minute or two. thx modemlooper!
-jzTesting it out now. Thanks very kindly for your reply, modemlooper!
resolved. i just went in and removed the htaccess file in the members directory.
pleasure’s mine;-) ty, as well.
UPDATE! Just activated “WP User Avatar”. It allowed me to save the new avatar.
Once saved, the Save button went away on multiple screens I checked.
I then DE-ACTIVATED and Save button came back.Merci … A few moments ago, I logged onto another laptop into the site. I started checking some buddypress media settings and went to save and the save button was gone, again!
So, last night I hadn’t narrowed anything down, as I turned off a dozen or so in steps then back on, which gave me back my save button.
Today, i went through one by one with no joy. I had two updates sitting in the queue: one for BP groups extras plugin I believe, and the other for buddypress media. I did the updates and refreshed a screen I was using to test and the save button came back.
Verdict: Not certain, but a few buddypress updates in the queue, likely one of them … needed to be done; if not both. You have been with BP longer I am sure, so you likely have more to go on. This was my experience for this one. Hope it helps someone down the road!
Thanks, merci.
This one is resolved. Had to de-activate all plug-ins to get my save button back. About to set each one back. The list is long. Thanks.
Please close this. thanks.
You can disregard the theme editor concern, as I’m just not going to use it.
If you have any ideas about where the save button could be hiding for the profile field edit screen, this would be all I’m looking for help on now.
Thanks!
jzOh…while I’m at this, I came up with another question, related:
Is there any option/strategy you know of that would allow me to use an image in place of the page title text? In other words, I’m wondering how I might use images for my page titles, just for aesthetics. Probably a stretch, but figured I’d inquire.
Thanks!
UPDATE: I found BP GiftBar. i will be researching, still. Feel free to comment on this plugin or suggest another. thanks in advance for any feedback!
ty kindly, merci! you are a always a blessing.
jzOK. My plug-ins page linked here, if memory serves me right.
Thanks for the guidance.
jz
Thanks for your suggestions, Hugo.
