In reply to: P2 Theme As The Wire/Wall?Hi JJJ,
are you still working on this ?
Where to find “BuddyPress/WordPress theme repo” ?

Just missing a “threaded” style.
In reply to: Bug: Register Still Skips Required Fields– this would be important to get fixed. Did you post a TRAC-ticket on this ?
– also nice would be a captcha-security-image for registering and sign-up.
In reply to: buddybar slow at testbp.org ?I have now downloaded the latest version of FireFox-browser (version 3.5.3) and the issue is not showing anymore.
In reply to: buddybar slow at testbp.org ?Hi Ray,
I just have made this test as per your suggestion (I am using FireFox-browser version 3.0.14):
– I have just disabled JavaScript at my browser and the mouse-over became working perfectly fine and fast..
– Then I have re-activated JavaScript and the mouse-over got very slow again.
So it is absolutely clear for me: the issue is coming from the JavaScript…..
In reply to: buddybar slow at testbp.org ?I just tested again and it seems the behaviour of the BuddyBar is different when comparing the two websites buddypress.org and testbp.org
buddypress.org : the mouse-over-effect is behaving perfect and fast.
testbp.org : the mouse-over-effect is behaving extremely slow.
In reply to: Autocomplete for message not workingthe other confusing thing I see is the following:
when trying tp send a mail to another user (coming from selecting of the users profile, then clicking on “Send Message”-button, then being at “Compose Message”), we can see a small image of that recipient-user and the recipient-users name and also a kind of “X”-button.
At the right hand of this username is a field (I mean the box above the field called “Subject”). It is very hard for a user to figure out what is the use of this field. How should he know that he might be able to enter additional usernames into this box ?
Also, clicking on the “X”-button does not do anything. This might be a bug ??
Is there any chance to improve this ?
In reply to: Activity Comments plugincool stuff…..
In reply to: Is this the way Forums are supposed to work?this is fine as it currently is, but probably a simple feature like the following would be nice:
1)
currently, when the user is logged-in, then he can see the following buttons: “Newest Topics”, “Most Popular Topics”, “Unreplied Topics”, “My Topics”.
2)
can you make an additional button which says “Post NEW Topic” ?
3)
When clicking this button, then the user will be forwarded to a screen at which he is able to create a “NEW Topic” and he needs to select from a list of “Groups” (only listing Groups at which he is a member of) where he would like to have his post into ? But the user should be limited to be able to post his new message into ONE Group only.
4)
If the user is a new user and is not yet a member of any Group, then he gets a list of all Groups and when selecting the Group ( at which he wants his message posted into), he will automatically become a member of that specific Group (considering it´s a Public Group).
Many thanks,
Erich
In reply to: Autocomplete for message not workingthis is clearly a “show-stopper” !
I hope this issue will be fixed soon and messages will be able to be send to anybody on the platform (whether friend or no friend) with auto-complete-function.

the way to go is KISS: Keep It Simple & Stupid !
In reply to: buddybar slow at testbp.org ?no matter whether you are logged-in or not:
– using IE-browser, the mouse-over effect is fast.
– using FireFox-browser, the mouse-over effect is slow.
– regarding the “flickering”, this is only showing with IE-browser.
– also, the mouse-over-effect is fast at “buddypress.org” , but very slow at “testbp.org” when using FireFox-browser.
specs:
using IE-browser-version 8.0.6001.18702
using FireFox-browser version 3.0.14
HP-computer using Windows XP.
In reply to: buddybar slow at testbp.org ?sorry, I do not have those capabilities.
There were also some guys at the german BuddyPress.de website, who have reported this issue (so you and me are not the only ones having this issue
In reply to: buddybar slow at testbp.org ?Anyhow, the BuddyBar is also not behaving nicely within browser IE 8.
for example, when you are logged-in, the you hoover over “My Account” and for example go to “Groups”. Then the next navifation opens (my groups, create a group, invites). Then you will see that the fields are “FLICKERING” when you move from e.g. my group to create groups.
In reply to: buddybar slow at testbp.org ?that´s strange. Not sure how I can show this to you….?
Is there a different coding (JavaScript or whatever you are using at the BuddyBar) when you compare the navigation at the “homepage” compared to the individual users Blog-pages ?
I am using FireFox v3.0.14
In reply to: buddybar slow at testbp.org ?the issue also appears when being logged-in.
In reply to: buddybar slow at testbp.org ?well, you do not even have to log-in !
at the homepage of testbp.org the navigation bars at the very top are extremely slow.
It takes a few seconds to move from “Log In” to “Sign Up” when moving with the mouse….(mouse-over)
then you compare:
go to a specific user-blog, there you will experience the navigation is suddenly behaving very fast.
for example, check those user-blogs (or any others):
In reply to: Messages bug ?– so why does it still say “loading” then ?
– it is hard to figure out that I have to type the username (I guess users are just being lost at that field…..well I was at least….)
In reply to: buddybar slow at testbp.org ?good that the TRAC-ticket has been re-opened again:
this issue is not about which browser you are using or hardware !

There is clearly something wrong with the mouse-over at the homepage of testbp.org !
the mouse-over is behaving perfect and very fast at an individual user-blog at testbp.org
