yeah, the 5 e-mail-fields in the sidebar look a bit stand-alone.
Probably writing some text in front of each of the e-mail-fields, like “friend 1”:
“friend 1”: field1
“friend 2”: field2
“friend 3”: field3
“friend 4”: field4
“friend 5”: field5

That “no reply” e-mail seems not to be the issue, because the second e-mail which says “Dear User. Your new account is set up.” is also being send from “noreply@domain.com”.
So both e-mails are being send from “noreply@domain.com” , but the first e-mail containing the BP-Registration-Code is landing in the Spam-folder, the second e-mail which the user is receiving is actually not landing in the Spam-folder of Gmail.
Anyway, do I need a Plug-in” in order to change the e-mail-address from “noreply@domain.com” to something different ?
Is there a way to change that somewhere in the backend without using a plugin ?

the thread you are referring to is regarding a different issue.
I am running a dedicated server and I have no issues with SMTP.
Sending e-mails via BP is actually working fine, the only issue I am having is that the e-mail send via BP containing the Verification-Code is landing in the Spam-folder of the Gmail-account of the respective user.
All other e-mails send by BP are actually not landing in the Gmail-Spam-folder.
So something got to be wrong here…..
I guess this is worth a TRAC-ticket.

I am just testing your plugin:
1)
I just saw a very small design-issue within the widget when I put it into the side-bar at the right.
The position of the button named “Continue” is slighly hiding the widget-title of the one widget which I have placed underneath the “invite-anyone widget”.
I guess it is just the height of the widget which needs to be made a bit bigger….
2)
when I do enter the e-mail of a person who is already a member of the website, then I do get the correct message that this person is already a member. This is great.
But when this happens, then the text-format within the text-field named “Customize the text of the invitation” is changing its format-style, meaning the letters of the words are getting attached to each other and the text is getting hard to read. Looks like the < br > styles are getting deleted.
Also Is there a chance to style the “Subject Line” and the “Text-field” so that it looks like an e-mail, e.g. putting a border around thise two fields and a grey background-color ?

since the wording “Send Invites” and “Sent Invites” looks quite similar, it is getting confusing.
Is there a chance you re-name the wording for “Sent Invites” to something different, e.g. “Pending Invites” or “Invitations” or “Invitation List” or “Invited Friends” ?

In reply to: change e-mail text ?Yeah, I have tested with an existing and brand new Gmail-account.
I do not think it is related to the domain, as I have tested this with 3 different BP-installs on 3 different domains. I have also tested this on a fresh BP-install without external Plugins installed.
It is only happening with the e-mail which includes the Registration-Code. Only the e-mail which says “Activate your Account…..” is landing in the Gmail-Spam-Folder.
The other e-mail which says “Dear User, Your new account is set up…..” is NOT landing in the Spam-Folder.

I remember DJ-Paul saying that the e-mail text needs to be customized which will prevent it landing in the Spam-folder. Not sure about that…. ?

I have it installed at my website and this also helped me to have the same theme for User-Blogs as I do have at my website.
I am not using P2-theme though.
BP-Group-Blog is one of the most useful Plugins !

Is your theme based on the latest version of BP ? It looks like being based on the previous version which would not be good.
If you could base your theme on the latest BP-version, that would be great !

I have changed the font-size of my page to 14px and the Group-names are very long, which is the reason I need to change the display-position of those items.
can I use the code from Andy for ALL activity-items, not just the Forums-activity ?

I just would like to use YouTube-Videos on my main Blog and also on User-Blogs.
But I would like to use the “EMBED-Code” which YouTube is providing.
I do not want to just paste the YouTube Video-URL, I would like to paste the EMBED-Code.
Is there any other plugin out there or any other chance how to do this ?

Hi Boone,
there is the option “4. (optional) Select some groups. Invitees will receive invitations to these groups when they join the site.”.
This is showing 20 Groups, but those look like being taken from the first 20 Groups out of the full list of Groups.
Lets say I do have 300 Groups, then only the ones starting with the letter “A” are being listed under this “option”.
Is there a way to make this like a Random-List of Groups ?
Or even better: is there a way to remove this “4. option” in the backend ?

By moving out with the mouse, I do mean:
when I do hover over the second-level-list (the drop-down-list at the BuddyBar), then when I move from one field to the other, then there is still the black background visible. But I have have actually changed the background-color to light-blue.
The bg-color has changed fine to light-blue, but when hovering off from one list-element to another list-element, the one element I am moving off is still flickering the black color.
would you be so kind to have a look at it at my page ?
