I want this done,Kaltura to port over to BP : https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-video-pack/

Would be a good answer to server loads because users can upload videos to 3rd party host and not yours that would save you server performance and storage issues!

It works fine on FF3, chrome and okay on IE7

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

Sounds good………

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

Its a good idea.I’m abit confused, Is it a follower like twitter or what?

The best way to test the FB-connect on different browsers is to try http://testbp.org/ and find the one which doesn’t work properly.

Maybe adapting Amazon s3 or Cloud Front,so that users can store their images/video in one amazon s3 account?

FYI

This could save load balancing. What do you think?

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

How do you install this on custom theme and also in future can FB-connect feature invite FB friends etc?

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

Do you need to configure buddypress files for it to work?

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

@kennibc.That’s good.

How do you make members & groups private?

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

@Fishbow181, I like your idea, but please can you adapt Amazon s3 or Cloud Front,so that users can store their images/video in one amazon s3 account?

@egerrits,Keep up the great work on the events. A suggestion on the event plugin.

Can you add features

Your friends’ upcoming events.

Displaying your friends’ birthdays.

RSVP

And events for groups.

Nice work anyway..

Here some info on the Facebook connect, maybe if it works with wordpress Mu then it could work for BP.

@fishbowl81, Not bad attempt but don’t go for the myspace route..How did you get the amazon plugin or lastfm?

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

It could lead to spamming…

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

Any update on this lifetstream plugin http://www.ibegin.com/labs/wp-lifestream/

LifeStream was built with a very specific goal: to create a system which would support any feed with very little modification.

Therefore Facebook feeds, twitter, itunes and any other feeds could be streamed?

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

That’s a good idea put them in a Tag cloud….also is there a report abuse button for BP?

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

@nicolagreco,

Can you look into option :The most difficult way Only Profile: it’s not important having a blog or not, because the video will be published only on the profile

https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-video-pack/

There is a difference of developing time for each way..

We would clip-in for your workmanship?

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

egerrits, Are you saying your working on a twitter client for BP

With features

like displays notifications for new messages

shorten long URLs (using bit.ly, snurl, twurl or is.gd)

cross-post your updates to Jaiku and many other sites like Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn and more via Ping.fm

post images to TwitPic

search tweets using Twitter Search and TweetScan, and follow topics in near-real time with saved searches

Hero

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

Here, here on the ‘one function: tweet($userid, $status)’ option maybe twitme 1.7 plugin for BP could also use the function!

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

@ brianbrey, How do you know this?

WE need to get WPMUdev.org to look into adapting it to BP. Because Kaltura media storage has increased to 10GB !

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

I think add user’s twitter account in bp-xprofile or user settings…but if another twitter plugin is installed would there be a conflict or would be fine?

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 8 months ago]

@egerrits, keep up the work on event plugin,it’s becoming a killer app with twitter and google api.

@plrk, And if a use don’t want any of these services like twitter ,they don’t have you use them.

Group integration hopefully be next on the hit list?
