And default behaviour isn’t to, the page refreshes and you should see a message saying reg successful please check email for activation key.

Not sending an email is not generally a BP issue but a server one.

bbPress handles all forum requirements for BP as of 1.7, BP no longer bundles a version of bbPress, the templates in bp-default are more for backwards compatibility, running in theme compatibility mode bbPress will feed it’s content through plugins.php for group forums.

@megainfo Those are historical groups before the changeover to bbPress, then groups were automagically created from WP repo submissions as long as something or other was in the plugin header, but since that change those groups no longer function as support avenues.

All we can advise is to change to twentytwelve theme if issue corrects itself as it will then it’s a theme issue and it will be down to the author to provide some solution really. BP theme compatibility is a simple process requiring just that a regular WP conforming page.php exists.

Disable them all, all except crucial i.e BP, checking the page validation shows a un-recoverable markup error that looks to be the fault of something facebook related (doesn’t surprise me!)

Not really, as I stated earlier in thread I have no issues. Ensure you have no plugins activate that may affect this aspect.

This is a problem with your theme not BuddyPress I’m afraid. Your theme is choosing to load it’s own copy of jQuery for whatever reason instead of using the version bundled with WP, your theme is using 1.6 which is a little outdated now , WP is currently using 1.8; the ‘on’ method requires 1.7 iirc.

Most likely a PHP settings issue, you’ll need to contact your hosts, and see what they say initially.

I would try the woothemes community support, it’s a premium theme so they ought to be able to help.

No copying page.php to a new file named buddypress.php is only when you need to change how bp call say sidebars or if the original file is not suitable for displaying BP content. You’ll need to explain just what you mean by we purchased the Buddypress Theme BuddyPress is an open source project it is free to download, use and modify, there is no ‘the buddypress theme’ there is a bundled bp-default theme that is packaged in with the main files and free.

So that’s three means to approaching the task :), as admin you get three options backend, wp adminbar, on actual user account object nav links ‘settings’. As the actual user you may delete your own acount as long as the BP settings in backend allow for user deletions.

However I do always forget to mention that BP does provide a delete link in the WP adminbar for admins to manage a user from their account.
