Hello,

not sure if this is a problem on our forum installation.. anyhow

we have over 51 groups with forums, however only 21 are listed on the index page..

and there is not paginating either..

best would be to have them all listed on single page

is there any setting i should look at?

the reason why it has become an issue

how with forum index – which is great!!

users can select how to show posts.. and what they choose in group forums page.. affects the all forums they later browse… so they have to go out and back again..

you see what I mean

sorry I confused this plugin with group management,

thanks for that plugin,

in my case though, check boxes wont work well with many 1,000s active members going through the list ..

even though i have 50 member to display per page..

the best would be to be able to paste username one per line or

upload csv

I know it is time consuming, I guess i just have to wait for users to do it themselves

sorry, i did not say it quite well,

these are already the members of the site..

but not members on any group.. we had a clean install and I have a a list of user names who belonged where..

Invite users to group is nice idea, but I am struggling with one thing.

How do I add users – so they are members of the group in bulk?

I have over 200 people to add for 15 groups…

it would be nice to have ‘upload csv or copy and paste names

is there anyway I can do this?

I am going to experiment first with facestream.. for some reason i get an error when try to set it up..

with phpbb it was easy to grow numbers.. because there was an option to restrict access.. to registered members only..

buddypress does not have this though

people can read all posts without registration there is invite on,y and hidden forum.. but it is not the same as

register to view..

i think that;s missing feature by the way

re facebook login — I want them to be registered with me, not only with facebook haha – unless I misunderstand..

re hosting,, is it fast? to me it seems on the slow side,

so I am glad you said that.. guys who were helping me out had to install some plugins to optimize it.. etc..

it is on dedicated server / litespeed

I have migrated from phpbb3 to buddypress

site went live today, there were some hiccups with script, and not everything was converted.. private msg or attachments. and links in posts are not right..

Hi

I may have discovered a bug, or at least inconsistency..

bp forum index plugin…

when users try to filter topics (for example, last posted. or my topics) .. the index disappears..

anyone is facing similar problems or is it just me?

i am new to buddypress

yes, by icons i meant, group avatars (which incidentally, would also look nice in the future forum widget )

i have no idea how to create widgets, but if you install group widget, you will see what I meant re forum widget with icon,

Thank you, it looks great now

and it is really one of the most useful plugins for me,

small suggestions for the future

1) it would be nice in the future, to have the option to display active topic below forums

in wp-admin settings to give users a choice,

and

2) to have a widget which would display ‘forums’

without many details, like description, but simply a list with forums names,

3) (least important new features, would be to have forums icons in the forum index

is the order in which forums are displayed, in my case, it should be the other way round.. bottom forums should be on the top,

is there anything I can do to change it?
