@sadeghr Thank you for your contribution. I have updated the codex page based on what I assumed you meant. Please let me know if there are any changes to the text.
@markou sorry, I have never used MAMP. Bumping this, others may be able to help you troubleshoot.
In reply to: Allow members to write blog posts for main blogIn reply to: Registration page@tobiasforsell The red button does link to the registration page. Congratulations on resolving the issue on your own 🙂
In reply to: Facebook-esk Features@julia_b Nope, I have no connection to flox.io. I only know that the plugin author is the project lead of BuddyPress so I have no hesitation recommending it 🙂 There’s a link to contact the author at the footer of that site if you have any question. Good luck.
In reply to: Dynamic link codes?but I want to create a graphic UI
You could add a class to each menu link (including BP links) in Appearance > Menus and add the graphics via stylesheet. Just click on the “Screen Options” tab on the upper right hand area of the Menus panel and check “CSS Classes” so you’ll see the class input area for each menu link added.

In reply to: Facebook-esk Features@julia_b there is a paid solution https://store.flox.io/downloads/buddios/
@markou Have you tried changing to the Twenty Fourteen theme and deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress? If that doesn’t work, facilitate troubleshooting of issue/s by providing more information about your installation https://buddypress.org/support/topic/when-asking-for-support-2/
In reply to: Modifying buddypress.min.cssjust went to make changes in buddypress.min.css
@barchiola Please do not modify the CSS file in the BP plugin. Any changes you make will be overwritten the next time you upgrade BuddyPress. Recommend that you upgrade to the latest BP version 2.1.1 https://buddypress.org/download/ and create a child theme of your preferred theme. Add the style changes to your child theme’s stylesheet.
In reply to: BuddyPress 2.1.1 is available for download.woo-hoo! merci @imath!
In reply to: [Resolved] CSS Customization@rickdickinson Glad you resolved the issue. However, unless you created your own theme, the CSS tweaks you added to the theme’s style.css file will be overwritten if/when you upgrade your theme. This is why I second hnla’s suggestion that you create a child theme and add the changes there. In any case, marking this issue as resolved.
In reply to: Bug. Duplicate Buddypress Profile Menu@wayne-alex We would not be able to access screenshots in your local host. It could either be a theme issue or could be a plugin conflict. To determine which is causing the duplication, change to the Twenty Fourteen theme and deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress and see if issue is resolved.
In reply to: [Resolved] Full Width Layout with "Reddle"-themen@1a-spielwiese Even if you changed the margin to 2.5%, the code should work. What precisely is not working? Screenshot/s or site url?
In reply to: Font size increase in Groups description@sharemarketer site url? hard to guess what’s causing the enlarged description.
In reply to: buddypress 2.0.3 download needed, please help@dhuntsha Just open up the file/s you made changes in and revert the changes. Then download zip file of BP 2.0.3 near the bottom of this page https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/2.0.3, unzip it, and upload the files to your server via s/FTP.
Salutation is pointing the finger at v.2.1
@forlath Salutation needs to be updated for compatibility with BP 2.1 or the solution might just be this patch https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/attachment/ticket/5889/5889.01.patch
In reply to: [Resolved] Full Width Layout with "Reddle"-themen@1a-spielwiese Sorry it’s not working out for you. I just installed a reddle child theme with all the code provided in above link in my server and it’s working fine without the simple css plugin. Let’s double-check that you have all the necessary materials:
– theme folder e.g.
reddle-child
–style.cssfile inreddle-childtheme folder
–functions.phpfile inreddle-childtheme folder
–buddypress.phpfile inreddle-childtheme folder@jessicaelle You’re welcome 🙂
Marking this topic as resolved.@jessicaelle it could be as simple as adding the following at the bottom of your child theme’s stylesheet:
.content { overflow: hidden; }Have you also tried deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress?
In reply to: [Resolved] Full Width Layout with "Reddle"-themen@1a-spielwiese My bad, no need for the simple css plugin, updated http://wp.me/p1I84P-6y to add code that enqueues child theme’s stylesheet via functions.php file.
In reply to: [Resolved] Full Width Layout with "Reddle"-themen@1a-spielwiese posted a simple walk through specifically for the Reddle theme full-width layout at http://wp.me/p1I84P-6y
In reply to: [Resolved] Full Width Layout with "Reddle"-themen@1a-spielwiese The better guide to use in making a full-width page for the theme you’re using, https://wordpress.org/themes/reddle, is the one for Twenty Twelve at https://codex.buddypress.org/themes/bp-theme-compatibility-and-the-wordpress-default-themes/twenty-twelve-theme/
HTML structure for Reddle and Twenty Twelve are almost identical. However. for Step 4 of the Full-Width instructions, instead of using
body.buddypress .site-contentin media query, add the following to your child theme’s stylesheet:@media screen and (min-width: 600px) { body.buddypress #primary { width: 100%; } }In reply to: Styling BuddyPressIf I recall well, one of the tricks was changing the height to 50 px.
In reply to: [Resolved] Link not working in Buddypress@yogeshojha11 I don’t see any redirection when you click on a Group link per my check. Nor do I see any forums installed at this point. Have you resolved this on your own then? If you do reactivate bbPress forums, change to one of WP default themes and deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress to ensure it’s not a theme/plugin conflict.
In reply to: buddypress avatar cutting off.. profile avatars. They used to be circular and now they seem to be square and cutting off on the profile.
Your avatar in your profile pages are all circular. Have you tried clearing cache?
also noticed that when trying to change the avatar i cannot crop it :/
Can’t say what the issue is as the profile pages of the throw-away account is disabled, i.e., pages related to the account lead to 404 pages.
