If you’re on BP 1.5.3, upgrade to BP 1.5.3.1 via FTP/cpanel/etc if you cannot access wp-admin.
If you’re already on BP 1.5.3.1, what other plugins have you activated?
The “existing bbPress install” is about the internal bbPress integration, Forums for Groups, and not the bbPress plugin, aka Sitewide Forums. So looking for bb-config.php doesn’t apply in your case.
Go to dashboard menu Tools > Forums and check whether the Archive slug is correct. i.e. Page name of your bbPress plugin forums e.g. Discussions is the same slug that you see in Archive slug “discussion”

As noted there, the correct subdomain will be generated.
Issue has been resolved in the other trac ticket https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3684#comment:3In reply to: How do I remove topic tags from BP forums? You have no forums/topics created in the link you gave above. In any case, whether it’s Group Forums or Sitewide Forums, just go to the Topic page and click on the Edit link. Delete the tags.
== When clicking on members avatar, it doesn’t go to their profile ==
Checked in FF, IE, Chrome and the avatar links goes to respective member’s profile.== Only few of members avatar’s show up in Links “Directory” Page ==
If you had an existing community in your WP install before installing BuddyPress, the pre-existing members just need to log in after the BP installation and their avatars will show up in Members Directory page.Change to bp-default theme and see if issue is corrected. If it is, please contact theme author and bring it to his attention. If issue is not corrected, deactivate plugins except BuddyPress to isolate the issue.
@sbrajesh Blog Categories for Groups is what’s out there that’s specific for associating a group with a category for singleWP. There’s https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-groupblog/ where you have to go multisite and set/limit the category for that subsite.

The first plugin will check if your theme is up to latest WP standards. Take note of “Warnings” and “Required” notices and make corrections as noted..
The second plugin kicks in some minutes after you activate it. When you check it under Tools > Deprecated notices, it will let you know if there the deprecated template tag/s in your active theme and usually give you the replacement template tag/s.
In reply to: does buddypress conflict with bbpress?Which bbPress do you have installed? The stand-alone version (bbPress 1.1) or the plugin (bbPress 2.0.2)? Haven’t tried the stand-alone version with BuddyPress since 2 years ago, but the plugin version is working well in current BP install.
In reply to: PayPal OptionHave you checked out S2Member plugin? It’s compatible with BuddyPress.
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/s2member/That’s an HTML page at root of your domain in server. Download, change and upload. Where’s the BuddyPress section?
replace `the_content()` with `the_excerpt()` in index.php and archive.php
In reply to: Sitewide Forums are broken.Change to bp-default theme and check if issue is corrected. If it is, you know what to do.
Rename the Custom Community theme folder to something else in your server via FTP/cPanel/etc. e.g. to wp-content/themes/custom-community-xxx

== to change the main landing page, for example, or to change other pages = I can’t find anything in the site that allows me to change these pages=
You change/add Pages just the same way as you usually would for a regular WordPress page, from the wp-admin backend.
In reply to: Register Page Format IssuesThis is something you have to bring up with the theme developer who also created theme’s own BP compatible template files. Have you checked Suffusion forums? If you encountered this problem, in all probability others have reported it in those forums as well and could already have found some resolution.

You’re seeing that because WP_DEBUG is set to true in your wp-config.php, make it falseIn reply to: Sitewide Forums are broken.== I remember when installing forums in BuddyPress was a breeze… ==
The internal bbPress installation, Forums for Groups, is still a breeze. Group Forums are fully integrated with BP 1.5.2. While Sitewide Forums, bbPress 2.0.2, is compatible with BP 1.5.2, full integration will come in BP 1.6 possibly with script to migrate Group Forums to the Sitewide Foruns. As to the errors you are encountering, are these on a relatively new installation? If you change to bp-default theme and deactivate all plugins except BP and bbPress, are the errors still showing up? If so, you might want to report it in Trac. https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/
