In reply to: [Resolved] My forum is gone
No worries. Glad you you resolved this on your own
In reply to: Add friend links to page not found.== The thing that comes to my mind is that I have installed both sites to a subdomain eg. name.mydomain.com ==
BP has no problem being installed in physical subdomains or in secondary blogs of multisite installations with subdomain structure as far as I know.I noted in your 2nd post that you were trying to make your WP theme compatible with BuddyPress. If you’re using the bp-default theme, you should deactivate the BP Template Pack plugin. What showed up in your error logs?
In reply to: [Resolved] My forum is gone== I’m using BP 1.5.1, I didn’t have problem until days ago ==
Did you just upgrade and/or install a new theme or plugin recently?
Did you go through the Installation Wizard?
Have you gone to dashboard menu BuddyPress > Forums > Forums for Groups – and clicked on Use Existing Installation? In reply to: [resolved] Thanks for the help Mercime and Xevo! The problem IS the parent theme Detox. With all the warnings and deprecated notices generated, if that theme was submitted to the WordPress Theme Repository, it would not be approved with all those errors. That theme is listed with issues on this page https://codex.buddypress.org/releases/1-5-theme-compatibility/
You have to fix the theme, or drop it and get a WordPress Theme. Then install BP Template Pack plugin. Go through the BP compatibility process and if you need help with that, post here.

First off, what versions of BP and WP are you on right now? What premium theme/child theme are you using? Doesn’t premium theme author give support?
== in which the Parent has supposedly been updated for the latest version of BP. ==
“Supposedly” is the operative word. Install the Theme Check plugin and the Log Deprecated Notices plugin to see what’s going on with the parent theme. Run these as well on the child theme (in case it copied outdated template files from parent theme and were not updated).== I’ve switched to BP-default theme, ran the plugin BP template pack ==
If you’re using the bp-default theme, you do not need the BP Template Pack plugin — this is only used for and with regular WordPress themes to make those compatible with BuddyPress. In reply to: How to install guide for network solutions?https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/before-installing/ and follow Installation Wizard instructions and links to configuring BuddyPress Components.
In reply to: Profile “Settings” page is blank ??What theme are you using? Profiles settings are working well in default BP installations. If you’re using a premium BuddyPress theme, you should contact the theme author as there are many changes between BP 1.2.9 to BP 1.5.1 and some theme files would need to be updated.
In reply to: Blogs help== But when users create blog, there is no such a directorty, they can’t login, or edit that blog.==
Just to clarify,
– Did you go multisite (create a network) and allow users to create blog sites and now they cannot log in or edit the posts they made in their blog sites?
– Or did you mean, they published posts in a single WP site and cannot log in to edit the post?
– BP/WP versions? In reply to: padder inside rightsidebarSite url?

Check out the examples at the bottom of the page.Closing as requested
In reply to: Add friend links to page not found.== but second it “greyed” the button out and I recieved a request in the mail. ==
It should grey out and have a light “Friendship Requested” text on top (at least on bp-default theme)== it looks suspiciously identical to the members-loop.php you linked to. ==
You’re right. So it’s from a theme done after BP 1.2.5 but before BP 1.5.I’ve used some plugins recommended by the WordPress Theme Review Team who screen themes submitted to the WP repository: Theme Check plugin, Log Deprecated Notices plugin and Debogger plugin. Install these and you’ll be able to see deprecated tags which should be replaced.
In reply to: Buddypress network install issueWhich hacks did you include? Some functions may be transferred to your active theme’s functions.php (not wp-config.php) but some need to be in bp-custom.php because of the load order.
In reply to: Willing To Pay For BP Installation Help/TweaksSorry about the delay. Pls. contact r-a-y if he’s available for the project http://emailray.wufoo.com/forms/contact-ray/
In reply to: Add friend links to page not found.Re your premium theme: did you install the BP Template Pack plugin to make it compatible with BuddyPress or is it one of themes which is aleady “buddypress-ready” (has activity, groups, members, etc folders in theme folder)?
If it’s the second one, then the theme might not been updated for BP 1.5.1 yet. Change to bp-default theme to check if behavior is corrected. If so, contact theme author.
Compare your theme’s members-loop.php with that of bp-default theme’s https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/1.5.1/bp-themes/bp-default/members/members-loop.php#L72 where your theme should have this hook “In reply to: Add friend links to page not found.@blogsabout that is not default behavior indeed. Did you set pretty permalinks already in Settings > Permalinks? Are you using the bp-default theme?

Did you post in s2member pro forums?
In reply to: Willing To Pay For BP Installation Help/TweaksYou deleted the group forums right? Install the sitewide forums and use the forum slug https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/2/#bp-sitewide-forums
Let me know how it works out.The bp.css file from the BP Template Pack plugin is enabled in your site. Do not disable it, just override styles when you want to in your theme’s stylesheet. Use Firefox with add-on plugin “Firebug”, you can right-click the element (div, ul, etc.) and see what style you need to override in your Aristeer stylesheet .. in WP themes, you can change/add styles in the style.css file, I assume it is the same in Artisteer theme.
For example, if you want to make the background darker for the activity comments, you can add this at the bottom of your stylesheet:
`/* BuddyPress styles */
div.activity-comments > ul {
background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #CCCCCC !important;
}`
Notice the !important I added there (you might want to make it darker than #cccccc). You’d need to use that to override bp.css styles which are enqueued after your style.cssPlease donate instead to the American Red Cross. Thank you. They have great volunteers there
In reply to: Problem installing BPhttps://codex.buddypress.org/troubleshooting/blank-pages/
So if you have FTP/cpanel access, rename the buddypress folder in wp-content/plugins/ to buddypress-xx
In reply to: Blank bp pages on new install of 1.5.1 on wp 3.2.1@thogan You can use the Twenty Eleven theme with BuddyPress if you also install and activate the BP Template Pack plugin with your Twenty Eleven child theme. Here’s how – https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/theme-dev-bp-template-pack-walkthrough-twenty-eleven-bp-1-5/
In reply to: how to hide admin activity on Buddypress activity?@igotmore There’s also this other plugin for that plugin https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-ninja/
In reply to: Buddypress plugin error “Nothing found for Members…”So you created a network to go multisite. Where is BuddyPress installed, in main site?
Do you go to Settings > Permalinks and set permalink to other than default “ugly” permalink?
Change to bp-default theme, do you see your members, groups, etc. now?
