At the bottom of the file replace

The links connect of members.mysite.com/username because you added the code below to your wp-config.php. Delete it and the link will go to members.mysite.com/members/username
`define ( ‘BP_ENABLE_ROOT_PROFILES’, true );`
BP Album+/Media – https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-album/ (free. not sure about audio/video)
BP Gallery – http://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-gallery/ (premium)
What’s in your error logs? Have you tried to deactivate plugins other than BP to check whether the problem is indeed with BP instead of plugins which might not have been updated for BP 1.5 or has conflict with BP?
You’re welcome. Glad it worked out for you.
@inhouse as @boonebgorges noted above, what I posted was essentially the same thing, and I learned it all from @boonebgorges and other BuddyPress Devs
10-4 @boonebgorges will tackle the update of relevant pages in BP Codex by this weekend latest
You’re welcome. Crossing my fingers
– `get_template_directory_uri()` should be `get_stylesheet_directory_uri()` for your child theme
– after the template tag above `/themes/seneca-county/style.css’ should just be ‘style.css’
therefore:
`if ( !function_exists( ‘bp_dtheme_enqueue_styles’ ) ) :
function bp_dtheme_enqueue_styles() {
// Bump this when changes are made to bust cache
$version = ‘20111102’;
// Register main stylesheet
wp_register_style( ‘seneca-county’, get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . ‘/style.css’, array(), $version );
// Enqueue main stylesheet
wp_enqueue_style( ‘seneca-county’ );
}
add_action( ‘wp_print_styles’, ‘bp_dtheme_enqueue_styles’ );
endif;`
This could also be an issue with the Blogs Directory plugin which a friend installed. Did you add any functions in theme’s functions.php or excluded some blogs in the directory listing Network Admin > Sites with that plugin?
@loudrake I saw this happen once or twice with a WP theme which had “ in footer.php instead of within index.php, single.php, etc. If I recall well, the solution was to create a blank sidebar-buddypress.php file and upload to that WP theme folder.
Try running permalinks again.. wp-admin > Settings > Permalinks > Save
You’re welcome. Good luck.
There is documentation https://codex.buddypress.org/troubleshooting/navigation-links-return-404-errors/
I see the conflict. Your group forums URL is http://richard-dickinson.com/forums/ is the same as the URL of your SiteWide Forums which should not be the case.
A. If you want to keep the Forums slug for the group forums, then you have change slugs for the sitewide forums:
– Go to http://richard-dickinson.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=bbpress and change Archive Slugs (base) and Single Slugs. That is, change “Forums base” to somethig else like “Sitewide Forums” or “Discussions” and Save.
B. If you want the Forums slug for the Sitewide Forums, then you have to change the slug of the group forums:
– Go to Pages > All Pages and delete the “Forums” page. A notice will appear “.The following active BuddyPress Components do not have associated WordPress Pages: Discussion Forums.” Repair
– Click on “Repair” button and the BuddyPress > Pages panel will show up.
– On the “Discussion Forums” line, click on “New Page” button and the Page > Add New panel will show up on screen. This is where you’ll place the title for your group forums
– Type in e.g. Group Forums and click on Publish.
– Click on the “Repair” button and the BuddyPress > Pages panel will show up again. This time, in the “Discussion Forums” line, select the “Group Forums” page you recently created then click on Save.
– To check if your group forums are working with the new slug, go to http://yoursite.com/group-forums/ per title of the new page you created for the group forums.
After all this re-run permalinks == wp-admin > Settings > Permalinks > Save.
Have you checked if same behavior applies using bp-default theme?
Strange. Is your secondary blog named “members” “groups” “blogs” “forums” or “activity”?
As in http://members.yoursite.com or http://yoursite.com/members/
If so, change name to e.g “community” or “pals” etc. as long as site is not named alike one of BP components above.
As usual backup DB and files. Copy over BP 1.5.1 on top of existing. BP Twenty Eleven is good to go as BP Template Pack plugin didn’t need to be updated for this version. Even if it was, if you used the method shown in Codex, then you wouldn’t have any issue even if BP Template Pack plugin was updated.
I recall reading somewhere that one of the plugins you have activated, buddystream, is messing up with activity page. Change to bp-default theme and deactivate buddystream and see if same behavior applies. If you have bp-custom.php in your plugins folder, rename it in the meantime.
You should contact @sbrajesh at BuddyDev.com. He provides great support for BP Mag theme.
Not by default. One instance of BuddyPress covers single multisite installation.
There’s http://wpmututorials.com/news/new-features/multiple-buddypress-social-networks/
where you would have to create a network of multisite installations first. Check it out.
I see the extra links – Advertise Here, Blog, and Connections. Your image points to the Blog link, which is the other one?
Re Blog link:
1. Did you create a page named “Blog” then go to Settings > Reading and select a static front page and then the Blog page for the blog page?
2. Click on the link Blog, then view page source. Check what shows up as the link class (selected or current) beside the Blog link. Or if you have Firebug, inspect Blog link to see the link class.
Delete the header-buddypress.php and sidebar-buddypress.php previously created. My bad, I missed the common div#content in both Listings WP theme and BP template files which unfortunately are placed in different parts of the HTML structure. I have replaced instructions using second method with that of using the first method for BP Compatibility process in above post.
The widgets in sidebar which show up in the BuddyPress pages are the same as what you placed in your theme’s sidebar.
@drmikebrown you just need to add backtick (`) the symbol within the parentheses, at very start and at the very end of the code.
Since the BP 1.2 navigation links are hardcoded as well, you can insert your own hardcoded links before, in-between or after the existing links. Examples:
`<li>Events
<li>My Scores`
@loudrake first, what theme are you using? If you have a WP theme and used the BP Template Pack plugin, which method did you use to make your WP theme compatible with BP – 1st method which changes more than a dozen BP template files or the 2nd method using header-/sidebar-buddypress.php?
All probability is that you’re used the first method and missed replacing the divs in all the required BP template files as listed here https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/#tplfiles
@suziwilson congratulations on your pastebin post
To make sure that your code shows up in this forum, place backtick (`) the symbol within the parentheses at the beginning and at the end of your code. For long/big blocks of code, pastebin is better.

We’ll be using the first method to make your WP theme compatible with BuddyPress – changing HTML structure in 16 BP template files transferred to your Listings theme folder in server during the BP Compatibility Process. Download the 6 BP folders transferred to your Listings theme during the process.
Starting with activity/index.php At the top of the file, replace
`
with
`
At the bottom of the file replace
`
`
with
`
`
Save file. Then do this with the remaining 15 files except for registration/register.php where at the very bottom, you replace
`
jQuery(document).ready( function() {
if ( jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).length && !jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).hasClass(‘show’) )
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).toggle();
jQuery( ‘input#signup_with_blog’ ).click( function() {
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).fadeOut().toggle();
});
});
`
with
`
jQuery(document).ready( function() {
if ( jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).length && !jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).hasClass(‘show’) )
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).toggle();
jQuery( ‘input#signup_with_blog’ ).click( function() {
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).fadeOut().toggle();
});
});
`
Save. Upload to server.
` `
You would still have some minor tweaks to the styles within the template. I’ve posted the tweaks used in some themes near middle of this page https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/theme-dev-bp-template-pack-walkthrough-twenty-ten-bp-1-5/3/
