In reply to: Registration not working hen BuddyPress activated
Closing this topic. As noted above, the issue was with the hosting company. Feel free to start a new topic of your own.
In reply to: I want buddypress to prove it@asnakea3 @bphelp a good example of BuddyPress working with a WordPress theme is http://testbp.org It’s using the upcoming Twenty Thirteen theme (availabe in WP 3.6 beta 3).
Other examples of BP-powered sites:
https://wordpress.org/showcase/?s=buddypress
http://www.bpinspire.com/I do empathize with your frustration, but this is not the way to go about getting help with your installation issues.
@asnakea3 At this stage, I’d recommend deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress and changing to BP Default theme or the Twenty Twelve theme. Clear cache and check registration.
In reply to: [Resolved] Prev and Next Member@somdefabrica by default, 20 members are shown per page in Members Directory page. Pagination will show up when you have more than 20 members per page. Same goes with Groups Directory page.
In reply to: Missing Forums Directorywhen I try example.com/forums, it goes straight to the forum index
@dnbrawler What theme are you using? What plugins do you have installed? If you deactivate BuddyPress, does /forums/ go to the correct page like this one (if you added the shortcode/s) http://testbp.org/discussion/ ?
In reply to: Incorrect Group Forum Name@acceptableice make sure you created a Forum for the Group Forums and made it a category see https://codex.buddypress.org/user/setting-up-a-new-installation/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/
In reply to: 1.7.2 updates1.7.2 – Maintenance and Security Release https://buddypress.org/2013/05/buddypress-1-7-2/
@mahdiar didn’t know wordpress.com was blocked in your country. Found the page.php file for Complete Theme. Please confirm that the source code of your page.php file is the same as the one posted at http://pastebin.com/wnfS1Gky If so, I’m thinking that it’s more likely a plugin conflict – e.g. “javascript to footer” plugin and/or the gallery plugin which might be using an older version of jquery, etc.
Before looking around for other themes, change to Twenty Twelve, a responsive theme which has been tested quite thoroughly with BuddyPress 1.7+. If BuddyPress doesn’t work on Twenty Twelve in your installation, then I doubt BP will work on other WP themes in you server.
In reply to: Missing Forums Directory@dnbrawler Re: unable to see an options to attribute my Forums Page with the Buddypress Forums.
I was thinking of the old groups forums re BP Pages, disregard this, my bad.The 3rd point you prescribed is what my settings are right now and what is causing the “redirecting” load problem.
Based on your original post above, you have /forum/ not /forums/ as your Archive Slugs->Forums base. What’s in your Settings > Forums > Single Slugs -> ___? If it’s the default /forum/ then there could be a conflict.
In reply to: [Resolved] Responsive homepage layout conflict@andy_blanc can’t open the link you gave above.
I don’t see how BuddyPress templates can be conflicting with the responsive home layout when BP uses the regular Page template though. In reply to: Account Page – Bad Organization@robertnorcross can’t guess what’s needed to override your theme’s styles. Do provide throw-away username and password to site so we can help you. Delete the account after the issue’s resolved.
Otherwise, you could download Firebug, a Firefox add-on to inspect elements and find resolution to style woes.
In reply to: [Resolved] My Join Group button is acting funnythe problem has been isolated to a conflict with wp engines object caching (i knew it front he beginning)
@ubernaut 🙂 Marked as resolved per request.
In reply to: Missing Forums Directory@dnbrawler
– WP 3.5 aboe or 3.5.1? BP version?
– Did you upgrade from BP 1.6.5 or is this a new BP 1.7.1 installation? That is, do you have the old BP Group Forums installed or is your issue with the bbPress plugin sitewide or group forums?
– If sitewide forums, did you create a new Page for your forums and add the forum index shortcode? If you did, you should use the same Page slug, e.g. discussions, in the Settings > Forums – Forum Archive slug (which should also be the same, e.g. discussions)?In reply to: Account Page – Bad Organization@robertnorcross looks like the style enqueued by BuddyPress is superseded by your theme’s styles for form labels/inputs which could need some float: left; clear: left;
Sorry I can browse the link you said
Not sure what you mean. The link I posted above leads to nowhere for you? It was a shortcut for http://bpsocialnetwork.wordpress.com/2012/07/13/complete-theme-wp-explorer/
Yes ! I install bp in my pc(localhost) … ! Nothing changed.
Unfortunately we don’t have access to the premium theme. BP auto Theme Compatibility works with almost all WP themes. Some do not work due to a variety of reasons including customized templating systems, erroneous coding, missing page titles in pages and so forth, all of which are beyond our control.
Have you checked in the forums of theme developer whether other Complete theme users are having this problem and what, if any, solution was provided by theme dev?
In reply to: Registration form not allow new members@fuzednotions is your install in single WP site or in multisite installation?
– If single WP, is it installed in domain root example.com/ or in physical subdirectory or physical subdomain?
– If multisite, is it installed in domain root, primary site, or in subsite? Multisite subdomain or subdirectory? In reply to: Image gallery plugin recommendations?Free:

BP Gallery -> http://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-gallery/ u@mahdiar Had template-packed Complete theme before http://wp.me/p1I84P-1n and it went well so could very well be a conflict of BP with another plugin. Have you tried deactivating other plugins batch by batch to see which is the conflict?
In reply to: treat custom post as post in BP 1.7In reply to: Registration form messed up@filipmedia now I see that the HTML structure of http://www.geek.hr/registracija has been corrected. Remove text “Registracija korisnika trenutno nije dozvoljena.” and save
In reply to: [Resolved] Urgent please – Registration form@robinlolo Cheers. Marking this as resolved 🙂
In reply to: [Resolved] Database errors on Forums page@helpfulnerd Glad you solved the mystery of the missing bb-config.php file. Cheers.
In reply to: [Resolved] Can't close a Notification MessageGood. Marking this topic as resolved.
@mahdiar We don’t have access to the premium theme. Have you checked if the Complete theme has been updated to latest WP version? EDIT – In what way is JS not working in your theme?
In reply to: Activate and Register page are missing. How do I get those 2 pages?
@ramy7777 You need to create the two pages. That’s why after you click on Repair link, you are directed to Settings > BuddyPress > Pages panel where there’s a button to Create the page which brings you to the Pages > Add New -> panel.
Write the page title, e.g. Register then click on Publish, then do the same for Activate page.
Go back to Settings > BuddyPress > Pages and associate the new Pages you created to Register and Activate
