– https://codex.bbpress.org/getting-started-with-bbpress/ re typeIn reply to: how to hide admin activity on Buddypress activity?@ubernaut the code provided by sbrajesh is only for Super Admin (multisite) or Site Admin (single WP) not for members who create a subsite. You’d need change is_site_admin to is_super_admin even when you use it in single WP install. is_site_admin had been deprecated some time after I posted sbrajesh’s code
I don’t recall trac ticket for this enhancement. Up to you to make a request in trac ๐
In reply to: [Resolved] Netlabs Music Theme and Buddypress@amrvignesh based on the response and resolved status of this topic, the instructions worked out well for the OP for the theme version as of Nov. 16, 2012. If the theme has been updated/revised since then, that could be the reason why it’s not working for you. Site URI?
In reply to: [Resolved] Page not found when create new groupsso for now there is no fix solution for this except delete all including wordpress, recreate all database, and it work again.

In reply to: Text widget above bp-default login?@discdemo Open a text file, paste the code I posted above, File > Save As > functions.php file which should be in your BP Default child theme folder in server.
In reply to: My BuddyPress Hosting RecommendationGentlemen, I’m going to close this topic. Thank you all for your feedback. There are alternative hosting solutions for WP/BP installations.
@hemantsaraf What theme were you using? What plugins were activated at the time you deleted BP 1.6.4? Could be an old plugin which requires BP.
In reply to: [Resolved] Create Group, Add Friend, Join Group“I just wasnโt logged into Firefox or Chrome. ”
Yup ๐You’re welcome. Marking this as resolved.
In reply to: Text widget above bp-default login?add a simple text widget above the bp-default themeโs login fields
@discdemo if you haven’t yet, you should create a child theme of the BP Default theme. Create a functions.php file for your child theme and in that functions.php file add the following http://pastebin.com/VVByv1p0 and make sure there’s no space atop or beside the opening Widgets and you’ll find the Before Login Widget Area
In reply to: [Resolved] Create Group, Add Friend, Join Group@ebraxton30 Deactivate BP Template Pack plugin. Salutation theme, as I remember it, has BuddyPress template files already in theme’s folder.
In reply to: Theme Fixing Alignment issues.@talkgridadmin initial scan of your theme reveals that you would have to revise 17 template files from the 6 BuddyPress folders transferred to your sportsedge theme folder in server during the BP compatibility process.
You could opt to wait for BuddyPress 1.7 which will automagically transfer required BP template files and you’d just need to delete the 6 BP template folders from your theme folder and deactivate the BP Template Pack plugin — unless the theme has added its own templating system
To check which is the recommended course, open up your theme’s page.php file, copy all and paste into pastebin.com, click submit and post the generated URI here
@daved42 I would double-check if there are any overlooked old URI’s in DB, double-check .htaccess file if carried over from old site, re-run Settings > Permalinks.
In reply to: i can not installing buddypress..@nahin This happens when you have a multisite installation and you activate BuddyPress in subsite’s admin and not network-wide in Network Admin > Plugins. Is this the case with your installation?

In reply to: footer widgetsDarwin theme has not been updated for 2 years. Second, the child theme theme does not have the required widget areas in footer.php.
You can copy over buddypress/bp-themes/footer.php to replace Darwin’s footer.php file but you just might have to style the footer widget areas.
In reply to: [Resolved] Page not found when create new groups@qzplx did you go through the Installation Wizard? https://codex.buddypress.org/user/setting-up-a-new-installation/installation-wizard/
In reply to: [Resolved] How to integrate buddypress with geothemeIn reply to: Can't log in // after installing Buddypress@demetrius-pop ah the permissions problem. For the multisite installation, activating BuddyPress network-wide resolved that for me.
Deactivate BP – from main site or subsite dashboard. Then go to Network Admin > Plugins and activate BuddyPress there. This will activate BP in main site by default. If you want BP in secondary site (subsite), add the following to your wp-config.php file before activating BuddyPress network-wide:
define ( ‘BP_ROOT_BLOG’, 3 );
change 3 to the blog ID where you want BP installed.
