In reply to: [Resolved] Buddypress 1.6.4 not auto creating pages
@p2ab Seems like you already deleted your BP test site. When you first set up and test BP, recommend using the BP Default theme and not activating any other plugin.
In reply to: Buddypress Pages ProblemI have set this page for registration : http://www.inandaboutdubai.com/register But for some reason it bounces back to the home page.
@anshul_01 this is normal behavior if you try to go to the register page while you’re logged in. Log out first.
@vegaskev you’re getting 404 because BuddyPress is not activated in anshul’s site. Deleted BP pages in all probability
@vegaskev maintenance mode has borked some plugins while testing. Have you tried removing maintenance mode for a minute or so to check if avatar upload issue is resolved then?
In reply to: Edit Profile Link Leads to Blank Page@asalvo1 I would re-upload BuddyPress plugin manually, i.e., via s/FTP

In reply to: [Resolved] Attn: (help needed!)@39images BP 1.7 uses your theme’s page.php to insert BP template parts automagically. You can either:

That method is not going to work with BuddyPress.
I suggest deactivating BuddyPress first. Then check out the other methods for pretty permalinks without /index.php on Windows server:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Permalinks_without_mod_rewrite
https://codex.buddypress.org/developer/developer-docs/iis7-web-config/If you still have issues with pretty permalinks, do post at https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting
Only activate BuddyPress after the issue is resolved.

closing this duplicateIn reply to: Register tab not visible@amanor check in Pages > All Pages if you have a page named Register. If none, then go to Pages > Add New and add the title e.g. “Join Us” (small anti-spam protection) and Publish.
Go to Settings > BuddyPress > Pages and select Join Us page for Register and Save settings.
Go to Appearance > Menus and add “Join Us” to custom menu.In reply to: How to create two separate menus in BP-Default@findly01 first, see note above about pasting long blocks of code.
The code for that specific theme’s functions.php is also available online at https://themes.svn.wordpress.org/frisco-for-buddypress/1.6.13/functions.phpFor logged-in and logged-out menus, see http://pastebin.com/MhrTcqRT
In reply to: Profile CSS/Color@webifiedgeek it’s a CSS thing as you suspected. I can only guess that some other CSS is overriding your theme’s default CSS.
In reply to: [Resolved] BuddyPress doesn't make pages@sonko915 please start a new topic of your own.
Post more info about your installation. WP/BP versions? Did you go through the Installation Wizard? https://codex.buddypress.org/legacy/configuring-components-v1-6/Closing this topic. Answer at https://buddypress.org/support/topic/disabling-bp-registration/

@hitchb WP/BP versions? Which premium theme are you referring to?
In reply to: Group site notificationexample.com/members/USERNAME/settings/notifications/
In reply to: Group comment doesnt appear before refresh.@transmission WP/BP versions? Does the same thing happen when you change to BP Default theme?
In reply to: Admin can't create groups or forumsI’ve installed BuddyPress but there’s no option for Admin to create forums or groups.
@feleciarose in BP Default theme, the groups create button shows up beside the title of Groups Directory page. As admin, you could always just append “create” to the groups slug. For example, http://example.com/groups/create and you’d get the group creation panel.
As for forum creation, which forums are you referrring to – sitewide or group forums?
I assume you also posted at Studiopress forums regarding this issue.
In reply to: [Resolved] Buddypress 1.6.4 not auto creating pages@p2ab Those pages should have been generated if you went through the Installation Wizard https://codex.buddypress.org/user/setting-up-a-new-installation/installation-wizard/
In reply to: Add country list in extended profile@chouf1 no problem. Thanks for helping out here at BPorg. Much appreciated 🙂
In reply to: Buddypress 1.7 Theme Compatibility@tcbroonsie Please share the names of the two themes which did not work with BP 1.7 theme compat so that we can be prepared if others using the same themes post here with the same issue. Much appreciated.
Easiest test -> activate BuddyPress and check BP pages using Twenty Twelve. If it’s working as expected in your installation using Twenty Twelve but does not work with a WordPress theme you activate next, then there’s a problem with the theme. Either theme author has rewritten WP templating system or added layer/s of abstraction which prevents BP template parts from showing up in that theme, etc/
As for plugins, starting off with the Theme Check plugin – if you see any WARNINGS and REQUIRED issues showing up after you run the theme check, then it’s possible that the theme might not work with BP
Check out Theme Mentor plugin as well https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/theme-mentor/
It’s a relatively new plugin and has some false positives but it’ll help you out.
