    In some countries you need to have a unsubscribe link, please consider Internet its not only USA.

    We really have people using buddypress all arround the world.

    And even in countries who is not forced by law, some of us like to have a good user experience and dont have some Sun of the B#$&#$& (read other bad webmasters or bad people) reporting you because you dont have a unsubscribe link, especialy when the email is send from your domain (wp default).

    Please note I’m talking just in one feature, not talking on avanced send emailing who’s requires MTA configuration to respect isp limits, and so one… just a simple unsubcribe link :)

    Congratulations,

    The plugin is now very usefull :)

    I have a sugestion:

    It’s possible to add a “I dont want to receive more invites” on each email? (like a unsubscribe link). This will solve a lot of headaches if someone start receive multiple invites from a lot of people.

    Now i will delete all references on wp databae and I will get back with a update if works or not.

    (btw, thanks a lot for your hard work and sharing of plugins)

    I have almost 100!!! (yes 100) buddypress instalations and all work fine with activation.

    Try to use this plugin if you have problems with sendmail on your host: “Cimy Swift SMTP” dont forget to put the plugin on mu-plugins and not on “plugins”.

    Check also if you can send emails from a mail client with the email you setup on wordpress.

    Any clue how to solve this?

    (This when sending a mesage from my site)

    I have w3 total cache installed

    I have almost all options enabled and works well…

    I also create a subdomain to make a “CDN” and now my blog is A on Yslow and more than 90 on google page speed.

    Its good Idea to cache pages to non-logged users. (dont worry crawlers still get non cached pages).

    Its a little offtopic but the subscription at Brajesh Singh site (buddydev) really woth every cent/penny

    You can find support to many questions about buddypress integration and code snippets. Brajesh Singh is really a nice person.

    I’m/was a subscriber on several developer communitys, for instance incsub with wpmudev I consider the price is really really high for the kind of quality of plugins/templates. both are allways full of bugs, I feel like a paid beta tester there and if you read the foruns every time you make a question, wpmudev staff simple point to wp/bp codex. Even on premium foruns.

    Another example is gavaity forms plugin, I ask a question about a bug on the plugin at more than 24h and dont receive a single “we are looking on that”.

    So my main point here is $30 for 90 days subscription is nothing with the quality provided.

    its safe to upgrade form ver 0.1 to 0.2?

    I’m already using this plugin on a live site and dont want to mess with user already defined privacay.

    btw. great job!

    +1

    If plugin can also import/export Resumees (CV’s) maked with x-profile fields (with a map fields from linkedin to bp option) will be gold.

    The .htaccess file should not be on cgi-bin but on public_html folder

    Try also to remove RewriteOptions MaxRedirects=200 from the file

    Pedro Miguel

    @pedromiguel

    OK,

    After 5h looking everywhere I found the problem, my .htacess was wrong… (I miss the rewrite rules to files folder)

    So, W3 Total cache works “out of the box”.

    I use a subdomain as CDN and everything cached on memcache.

    Now I will going to try with more 4 buddypress instalations I have on same server and i let all know if any issue.

    ok, found the solution, I will also submit a ticket on trac

    on bp-core-tempaltetags.php change this:

    function bp_search_form_type_select() {
    // Eventually this won't be needed and a page will be built to integrate all search results.
    $selection_box = '<select name="search-which" id="search-which" style="width: auto">';

    if ( function_exists( 'xprofile_install' ) ) {
    $selection_box .= '<option value="members">' . __( 'Members', 'buddypress' ) . '</option>';
    }

    to this:

    function bp_search_form_type_select() {
    // Eventually this won't be needed and a page will be built to integrate all search results.
    $selection_box = '<select name="search-which" id="search-which" style="width: auto">';
    $selection_box .= '<option value="blog">' . __( 'Blog', 'buddypress' ) . '</option>';

    if ( function_exists( 'xprofile_install' ) ) {
    $selection_box .= '<option value="members">' . __( 'Members', 'buddypress' ) . '</option>';
    }

    and on bp-core.php

    change this:

    if ( !$slug || empty( $slug ) ) {
    switch ( $search_which ) {
    case 'members': default:
    $slug = BP_MEMBERS_SLUG;
    $var = '/?s=';
    break;

    to this:

    if ( !$slug || empty( $slug ) ) {
    switch ( $search_which ) {
    case 'blog': default:
    $slug = '';
    $var = '/?s=';
    break;
    case 'members':
    $slug = BP_MEMBERS_SLUG;
    $var = '/?s=';
    break;

    If you can add localization to plugin will be great :)

    @pedromiguel

    – delete all buddypress folder by ftp

    – log off wp-admin

    – log in on wp-admin

    – upload by ftp the buddypress folder (make shure you put on wp-content/plugins) after upload you should have wp-content/plugins/buddypress/”a lot of files and folders”)

    – Check plugins again on wp-admin

    If you have any error on ftp (deleting the files) :

    check the user permissions, depending on server configuration, the files could be with apache permissions instead of your user.

    If you are on a sharing hosting ask your support to check the file permissions for you.
