In reply to: Official PlayStation Blog using BuddyPress?
It’s not using BP-Links and not using BP.
It is using WP though with the WP-PostRatings, Image Rotator, Audio Player and WP-Polls plugins.
Try using the default BP theme first to see if BP is working.
If the default theme works, then you can start work on a custom theme. Preferably a child theme of the default.
In reply to: Profile Comments with BP 1.2Go to BuddyDev.com and download Brajesh’s BP-Wire port.
It won’t do exactly what you want and it requires the “wire” directory from the old BP 1.1.3 default theme in your theme directory, but give that a shot.
Delete /wp-content/themes/bp-default.
This folder shouldn’t be in themes.
You should be using the bundled theme in /plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/.
In reply to: Overriding the themes function.php = blank pageRename “sidebar” to something else.
In reply to: BP Album+ || New Features Requests and DiscussionYou should point out that you’re using an external plugin for user points called CubePoints.
Sounds like a bug.
Can you post a new ticket on Trac?

Login with the same credentials you use here on bp.org.
Closing this thread because it’s a request for a freelancer. They can contact you by PM and you can negotiate a price.
Otherwise, until the BuddyPress.org site is updated, you can post job requests on:

@sabater_wb – you might want to follow Bowe’s advice and contact MrMaz, the developer of BP-Links, he could probably adapt the plugin to your needs.
Rename /wp-content/plugins/buddypress-ajax-chat/ to /wp-content/plugins/buddypress-ajax-chat-blah/
Refresh page, then go to /wp-admin/.
You write too much

Still not sure quite what you want to do.
First of all, you need to install BuddyPress. On first glance at your site, it doesn’t look like you’ve installed it at all.
Second of all, since you’re using a different theme, once you’ve installed BP, you’ll need to use the BP Template Pack plugin so your theme can support BP:
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-template-pack/
Once you’ve done these steps, then we can proceed.
get_blog_option only exists in WPMU.
Try renaming the plugin directory to something else, then head back to /wp-admin/.
You can also head on over to Dave’s support group for his plugin:

In reply to: CSS fix ?It’s hard to debug from a screenshot, Erich.
Can you pass on a URL?
If not, send it via PM and I’ll check it out.
Like I mentioned in the ticket, it’s a theme issue. I’m 100% sure the issue doesn’t exist if you’re using the default theme.
In reply to: Making tabs open in a new window in BuddyPressChild theme! Child theme! Child theme!
Copy over /bp-themes/bp-default/header.php to your child theme and modify the nav tabs to open in a new window.
What’s a child theme you may ask?

In reply to: How to make a private community?I haven’t tried my mod site-wide on WPMU because it was only needed on the BP community-side for a site I was working on. If you’re not using WPMU, you should be okay.
Don’t activate the plugin site-wide if you want your user blogs made public. In this case, only activate the plugin on the blog where BP is activated.
Re: invites. What are you using for that? The modified plugin doesn’t block the register or activation pages, so if your invites plugin hooks into the register page, you should be fine.
In reply to: How to make a private community?Instead of modifying all the BP templates, you could try the Registered Users Only 2 plugin:
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/registered-users-only-2/
I’ve made a few mods to that plugin to better support BP here:
https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/bp12-plugin-wishlists#post-42114
Use what I suggested above.
Then turn off registration and manually create users. Assign these users a role of contributor or higher.
In reply to: CSS fix ?Try this:
.activity-list li.mini {margin-left:-2em;}Adjust the margin-left to your needs.
The easiest way off the top is to apply a filter to ‘bp_core_get_root_domain’ to remove the /folder/ subdirectory; this wouldn’t fix your existing activity stream items as they’re already cached in the db.
There’s probably another way though.
In reply to: [New Plugin] BuddyPress Group Forum ExtrasI kind of figured that, but it sounds like you’ve got a handle on it!
I guess my next question is would it be possible to add a subnav item to “My Favorites” for bbPress topics? This is just to avoid another nav item.
In reply to: BP Signup TOS doesn’t show on sign up pageIt’s not compatible with 1.1 either.
In reply to: [New Plugin] BuddyPress Group Forum ExtrasRe: bbPress favorites. Sounds cool!
Would this hook into the existing BP “Favorites” system?
In reply to: [New Plugin] BuddyPress Group Forum ExtrasThe answer to your Q is yes – you can use a child theme for topic.php.
In reply to: Is anyone using Buddypress-Ajax-Chat?David’s own site – getpaidfrom.us – uses it.
