In reply to: Invite Anyone
What would it take to incorporate the bp-invitefriends option of manually entered email addresses?
I would also like to type a customized message rather than a centrally managed message. Is that in the feature list?
In reply to: bp-events, directory not workingDid you ever get this working?
1. go to the svn at https://svn.wp-plugins.org/bp-events/trunk/,
2. download all the updated files, especially the directories folder and its contents
3. deactivate bp-events
4. upload bp-events and its contents to plugins folder
5. upload events and its contents to your theme folder
6. activate bp-events
This worked for me. I think the missing piece was the directories folder, however, this procedure is what worked.
In reply to: New Default Theme Is AvailableYes, this is a nice clean theme. Are the steps to integrate bp theme techniques easy enough to apply to existing wp themes? Have the latest changes been documented sufficiently for novice them developers/designers to follow and create new themes?
I am just happy someone is working on bp-invitefriends!
@mariusooms – can you or are you adding functionality to include a custom message? I have modified the form that appears in the Invite page, but I don’t know how to take what someone types in and make it the body of the message. The bp-invitefriends that I am trying to use is the one from Giovanni Caputo, is that the plug-in you are working on?
So, what will we look for when trying to find the code for the dozens of widgets?
In reply to: facebook connect to send post user profileThat is great, but what are the exact requirements to make this work?
In reply to: Plugin to show components to registered Users onlyUPDATE: Works well where implemented. There are just a lot of areas where a user could hack and get all kinds of information. I don’t have time to go through all the code to find and implement if/else/endif logic.
But that did not work for me. And I need the events plugin more than a global forum. I was concerned more with a link taking someone to a page that does not work so I just disabled the global forum option.
In reply to: BuddyPress Privacy Component: An UpdateLookin’ forward to your plugin Jeff! Thank you for the hard work.
In reply to: Plugin to show components to registered Users onlyWorks well while I wait for the Privacy Component Plugin. Thank you!
Great find!
Yeah, I want group events, group forums, etc, AND I want the main links in the default BP install to work.
I hope, like you, that the events plugin author can get some time to make that into a great plugin! Not that it isn’t already, it just needs some debugging and I hope the author gets time to do that.
