hi check this thread you need to create that file:
@shawn38 thanks for your help i figured things out after reading this post i also figured out that the plugin does work you just can’t turn it on or off using the new toolbar so what i did was using the custom file to temporarily activate the old toolbar in order to activate the ninja plugin. thanks again for all your help here and on the other topic!
yeah sorry i guess i was posting this idea to the wrong thread since thats where the original issue was being raised but i was thinking of the profile nav. anyway I’m a bit confused aren’t those mockups also in the wrong thread? they all seem to be regarding messages

@rogercoathup thanks for responding sorry for the delay in my response wasn’t getting site updates for a while there. either way would be fine but I’m not very adapt at coding (sql or otherwise). id wait for an update to the plugin but we all know that goes sometimes and it seems like @francescolaffi is off on some kind of extended vacation or sabbatical. actually holding off on upgrading to 1.6 on a client site because of the issue

well I’m only suggesting frame based nav as a possible solution to the issue that @FIQ is raising as it pertains to the spacing issues when it comes to the vertical versus horizontal nav. i have some ideas stirring about how you would implement that in collapsed form but nothing solid enough to share quite yet. ill try to throw something together this weekend.
i have a new(ish) idea if you click the customize from the wp admin bar on wp.com web site you’ll get a frame which comes out from the side so technically it takes no horizontal space in collapsed mode. i think the only challenge (besides maybe coding related stuff as mentioned by @jjj when asked about the popup media uploader box) is that in the collapsed mode it may be too obscure for people to even know its there but i think that particular thing should be easy in that we would just make it more noticeable but i think the real advantage is that being on a separate frame it wouldn’t really matter what the theme was doing. anyway heres an image for those of you who don’t have wp.com accounts:

Anyone know if this is working yet with BP 1.6 i can’t seem to figure it out.
check out this plugin hasn’t been updated in over a year but it worked as of 1.5 (may require you to use the old admin bar under 1.6) we haven’t yet upgraded.
BuddyPress Ninja
not 100% sure i understand what you are saying but i don’t think you can favorite things automatically or in any other way then individually without modifying something.
does anyone know if this plugin works well with current versions of bp or if there’s an alternative? i swear i read something about 1.5 having throttle settings but i couldn’t find anything looking around.
@DJPaul sorry man just thought i would try to do what i could client is impatient and the issue seems to be in limbo and quite important to quite a few people didnt mean to be rude.
someone should really try to fix that old plug in i think some said they were working on it about 3 weeks ago but no news since.
yes please help!
any news on this?
me too we had to remove all personal info from our visitor profiles after we upgraded and now we can’t run contests please help!
bump
@GUAP same problem here
so no one else has noticed this problem?
yes i have confirmed also this same effect with theme developer which has minimal plug-ins installed that the bp admin capabilities are also not there on his install. switching to the bp default also does not restore them. we are using the two-click integrated install.
just to be clear what’s missing cause it isn’t everything. normally in the bp adminbar a keymaster should see all of the same functions a site admin does on the front end at least. also they had the ability prior to this version to admin or see any group including hidden ones.
