That’s a bit odd, to my knowledge both themes use the same images. You probably need to turn your error reporting on, if you haven’t already?
In reply to: Remind and awake inactive MembersDon’t think so, it’s not in the WordPress repository so it does not automatically send out an update. Once we’ve got it kicked into shape I’m going to suggest we launch it in WordPress, then you will see the updates.
In reply to: Remind and awake inactive MembersI updated it this morning, I removed about 20 errors, there’s still a couple that would need a bigger rewrite to fix but they don’t stop it from working.
In reply to: wp_deregister_script jquery removes Buddypress jsI think you’ll have to call your version of jQuery “jquery” instead of “jquery-new” otherwise nothing that’s dependent on jquery will load.
In reply to: wp_deregister_script jquery removes Buddypress jsAre you looking to load a more up to date version of jquery?
In reply to: wp_deregister_script jquery removes Buddypress jsHi there,
I think that the buddypress.js files have jquery listed as a dependency and you are removing jquery so they won’t load.
In reply to: Timeline horizontal scrolling how to archieve [REQ]Ah so you are looking for horizontal scroll for activity. Sorry I thought you were asking a more general question. It’s possible to structure the activity page anyway you want really, you can overload the activity page and construct it how you like, including a flex display for horizontal scroll or alternatively you can add your css on-top of the BP CSS. It’s a bit more difficult with Nouveau given the content is inserted by JS.
In reply to: Timeline horizontal scrolling how to archieve [REQ]This is not strictly a BP related issue but more about creating general page layouts so this thread is in danger of being closed. Without seeing the source page I’d hazard a guess that they are using display: flex; for those elements. You should inspect the page and see how the html is constructed.
Thanks Rahul
In reply to: Member CountThe BP active member count is stored in transient memory and the count you see displayed is reading this transient. When you run the tool to correct the count this transient is deleted then next time you go to read the value it detects there is no count so it does a db count of all active users and resets the transient. So the Tools option suggested by Shanebp should have worked. It not working suggested there is potentially something up with your database.
The only other thing that affects the active user count is the excluded user id’s, these are the inactive and deleted users.
As a next step I suggest you try switching to the BP Legacy theme and see if that works. I don’t think it will but it would help rule out a nouveau specific function involved in displaying the count.
Well hang two weeks! You don’t want to wait that long! I’ve already added the feature to the plugin, ready for testing if you feel inclined.
In reply to: Member CountHi there, it looks like you are using the BP Nouveau theme, can you confirm?
This sounds like a great feature to add to my plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-messaging-control/ might take be a couple of weeks though. Why not raise a thread in my support forum and we can discuss how it would work?
In reply to: Remind and awake inactive MembersHi @wemy I’ve been speaking to Imath the creator of BP Wake Up Sleepers, I’ve updated the code to get rid of the errors and there should be an update for this later.
Hi @irahulsolanki I just tested this again with the BP Legacy theme and I got the same results as you. could you raise a support ticket for this?
In reply to: Group filter Buddypress no workingRaise it with the plugin developers, it’s unlikely to get fixed here.
In reply to: Group filter Buddypress no workingYep I can’t get it work either, though on mine it fails to display any groups
In reply to: Group filter Buddypress no workingAnd which of those adds the filter?
In reply to: Group filter Buddypress no workingYou’ve not given me the name of the plugin you use, how could I have an opinion?
In reply to: Group filter Buddypress no workingI don’t think this is a feature of BuddyPress as filtering on group types is a feature you’d need to add. I’ve just tested WBCOM’s BP Add Group Type and BuddyPress Group Type Filter and these work fine together. You’ll need to contact the developer of the plugin you are using to add that filter for a fix.
@aoiu that does not sound like the same issue as this, please open another thread.
In reply to: Register page keep refreshingHi there,
As a test, I made all of the registration form fields optional, and registration now works. Could you make each obligatory one by one and find which one is causing the issue?
In reply to: Register page keep refreshingThe only other clue is that GEO My WP is throwing errors, if this means that the location is not being set correctly then this may interfere with the registration.
In reply to: Register page keep refreshingOK I’m in, I tried registering again and again I got the following –
https://parentspresdechezvous.com/register/?cprotect=1in the returnng register url. I think this is a potential clue. I’ve checked the plugin repository and no known plugin uses this string so it’s being added by something else I think.OK if I deactivate some plugins for ten minutes?
In reply to: Register page keep refreshingemail me at venutius at buddyuser.com with login info and I’ll take a look at your site see if I can get any clues
