In reply to: Where is the BP Plugin repository?
The Groups page does not include any forums, just the group avatar, name and description. You can choose whether to include the groups forums in the forums page, and other options by following these instructions:
In reply to: Infinite Load – Won’t Accept Friend RequestSounds like they have given you the brush off, clearly if it’s WooCommerce that is stopping another plugin from working then the onus is on them to fix it. If it was the other way round, BuddyPress was stopping a WooCommerce feature to stop working, then we’d need to look at it.
In reply to: Infinite Load – Won’t Accept Friend RequestYou need to rasie this with the WooCommerce team as it is that plugin that is causing the error.
In reply to: did the call for activity post form change?Still no sign f any shortcode output, the user needs to be admin in order for me to go further
In reply to: did the call for activity post form change? You could email me at venutius at buddyuser.com I think ideally admin though right now any level would do
In reply to: did the call for activity post form change?I like the log viewer, trouble is on a few sites it just gave up working for no apparent reason so I stick to BWS as it’s more reliable.
I’d probably get more info if I had a login.
In reply to: did the call for activity post form change?Hi elexem,
Looks like you are getting quite a few Javascript errors:
JQMIGRATE: jQuery.fn.load() is deprecated – Orange Login plugin
JQMIGRATE: AJAX events should be attached to document: ajaxComplete – A3 lazyload assets plugin
JQMIGRATE: jQuery.attrFn is deprecated – Jannah theme
JQMIGRATE: Global events are undocumented and deprecated – Cookie Notice plugin
JQMIGRATE: jQuery.fn.size() is deprecated; use the .length property – Jannah theme.Depricated means usually that those functions will no longer work, so they need to be seen to. The AJAX event warning may of may not be an issue, but it should be looked at.
However I doubt any of these have a bearing on the issue at hand, there’s no sign of the shortcode output. Do any other shortcodes work? Mind, the form would not display to a not logged in user.
In reply to: did the call for activity post form change?Hi @elexem just to let you know that I’ve updated the Wat’s New shortcode so it works with BP Nouveau.
In reply to: Private vs. Public profileIt’s not a built in feature of BP, but there are plugins that allow users to control profile visibility, such as https://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-profile-visibility-manager/.
I’m not saying that’s definitely the cause, but it could be. Did you install it on your other site after it failed on this one?
I’ve seen this where you have hit your host providers limits for size or number of files, could that be the problem?
In reply to: did the call for activity post form change? The other place to look is in the JS console that comes with your browser, when you try to load the what’s new form, right click on the page and select Console to see if there are any errors reported in Javascript. Once you have done that you can open up your error log and see if any errors were generated. I use BWS Error Log Viewer to make viewing the error log easy.
In reply to: quiero quitar algo en la sección “ajustes”Upload it to an image hosting site such as imgur and post the link here
In reply to: did the call for activity post form change? With all the plugins deactivated apart from BuddyPress, did it work at all? Same goes with your theme. Do you have error logging switched on? I’m thinking there must be an error showing somewhere and you are just not seeing it.
See this page to see how to enable the error log https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress
In reply to: quiero quitar algo en la sección “ajustes”The export data information should contain the personal information held by your plugins and wordpress, it should not contain data about plugins, I’m not sure how you would remove that, it’s not specifically a BuddyPress Question.
In reply to: did the call for activity post form change?Well wit the theme set to BP Nouveay the form displays, it’s just the input area is missing, so with either theme you should be getting something. I take it you’ve ruled out other plugins conflicting?
In reply to: Advice regarding profile photo and change-avatar.phpThere’s two options, you could either overload that file, by placing your edited file in the
wp-content/themes/your-child-them/buddypress/members/singledirectory or the other option is to create your own translation of the BuddyPress text. This last option is preferred, in general overloading files adds to the admin burden as you will need to kepp track of changes in the master file.To do the translation you would need to download PoEdit and follow this:
You just set up a translation of your own language which removes the text.
Also, to manage translations, use the WPT Custom Mo File.
This is handy because as you develop your site you are bound to come across other instances in BuddyPress and other plugins where you would prefer to change the text.
In reply to: did the call for activity post form change? Are you getting any errors?
In reply to: did the call for activity post form change? No it’s not changed and still works for me.
In reply to: Hide or Remove “user not found” messageSounds to me if the user is not logged in you should not be serving them the form, since it’s got functions that will only work for logged in users.
In reply to: Profile PictureYou need to enable extended profiles to get this feature
In reply to: Video HostingI know MediaPress also allows videos to be added from TouTube etc.
Also, try re-saving your permalink settings.
The first thing to do would be to deactivate all other plugins apart from BuddyPress and see if the fault remains. If it does then you need to check if you have overloaded the file by looking in wp-content/themes/your-child-theme/buddypress/members/single/messages/compose.php, if this file exists then check permissions and file content, if it does not exist then check permissions of wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-templates/bp-legacy or bp-nouveau/buddypress/members/single/messages/compose.php
In reply to: Video HostingI’m not sure what you are asking, Implemented in what?
