In reply to: Document Management Support
I think you are looking at a few plugins and probably a bit of custom code. One part to your potential solution is that sharing of posts to groups etc. I’ve written a plugin called BP Post Status that allows posts to be displayed only to specific groups. You could couple this with Co-Authors Plus to allow more than one team member to be able to edit and update the post.
That’s one option. Another option is to use BuddyPress Group Documents, this allows documents to be created and edited by the group, it’s another approach to the problem.
Not sure about statement of account, you mean like a paid membership model? Paid Membership Pro maybe, something like that?
In reply to: 500 errorIt’s because you have overloaded the template file in
themes/kleo.buddypress/members/single/home.phpit’s trying to load an obsolete function `bp_is_user_forums() on line 102. If you did not create this file you need to speak to your theme support to fix it, otherwise the solution is to remove that function basically, it’s usually in an if function. In reply to: Dynamic URL link for widget buttonsI’ve added the following to Shortcodes Extra:
[bpps_profile_url text="Press Me" button="button"]You can specific the profile page to use using the
profile_page=""attribute, to select different profile pages, such asprofile_page="messages"Do you want to give it a try, see if it does what you want it to?
In reply to: Author box as widget in side barHave you tried – https://buddydev.com/plugins/blog-author-profile-for-buddypress/
In reply to: Dynamic URL link for widget buttonsHave you looked at https://www.google.com/url?q=https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-profile-shortcodes-extra/ This allows you to create BP profile links to any page and call them in a shortcode, maybe that could help?
In reply to: Activation EmailThe idea is you only really run this stuff on a test setup full time, on a production server you’d only run them when debugging a specific problem.
In reply to: Activation EmailThis page explains about it:
https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG
define('WP_DEBUG', true); define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true); define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );in wp-config.php, there’s a section a bit over halfway down where WP_DEBUGis set to false, you can add the code there.
In reply to: Activation EmailAh so you’ve not got Debug turned on.
In reply to: Activation EmailI think if nothing else that there’s a feature request in this – Add a debug mode to the register page so that site admin can test it more easily.
In reply to: Activation EmailThere’s an off-chance that you might pick up errors with these tools thought, so take a look round your site with them running, and tke a note of any errors highlighted, it’s likely they’ll pick up a few unrelated errors.
In reply to: Activation EmailQuery Mon usually glows a colour if it’s picking up errors in general, same with debug bar. I can see there’s a problem here – in order to run both those apps, you need to be logged in as admin. However to view the Register page you need to be logged out.
In reply to: Activation EmailYep nothing received this side, wonder what it is that could be causing it? Do you think it might be environment related?
In reply to: Activation EmailBy the way your site link does not work.
In reply to: Activation EmailWhen things get touchy I use Query Monitor, which catches warnings etc. and Debug Bar for js and other errors. Might be worth trying them. I’ve not been able to replicate this so it’s difficult to advise or investigate for myself.
In reply to: Activation key field don’t auto fillHi there,
What theme are you using and is there a chance that you edited any theme files?
In reply to: Activation EmailWhat are you running in terms of diagnostics? I take it you have Debug on? No errors?
In reply to: No Notifications BubbleI’m afraid I don’t offhand, I agree it would be a useful feature. Maybe you could add it as a feature request?
Then the boffins could look at it.
In reply to: Activation EmailDid you look at this? https://buddypress.org/support/topic/activation-emails-are-not-being-sent/
In reply to: No Notifications BubbleYep they don’t include that, it’s just a basic menu item I’m afraid.
In reply to: Connecting buddy press forumI think you need too call your page
Forumsfor the list to show automatically on it. Delete it and create a new one.In reply to: BuddyPress Developer neededI could do, let’s discuss. I’m going to delete this address once I’ve submitted it so check your email.
In reply to: GDPR complianceYou could write a plugin to do that outside of GDPR, it would need to run a regular cron job and delete all non admin users with a last active date beyond a certain threashold.
In reply to: GDPR complianceHave you looked at the BuddyPress GDPR plugin just released by BuddyBoss?
In reply to: Upload Cover Image Option Missing? Not that I’m aware of, The only other things to check is your theme – try it with 2017, and if you have any customisations that might affect it. switching your theme to 207 will rule our most of these.
In reply to: My Profile Page Change TemplateThe only plugin I’ve seen do this is Content Aware Sidebars Pro.
