In reply to: SiteOrigin PageBuilder compatible?
Which shortcodes plugin are you using?
In reply to: Member Reviews and BuddyApp ThemeDid you try https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-user-profile-reviews/ ? You should not find any problem with support there.
In reply to: Shortcode question [bp_profile_url]Which is not working? This thread has covered a lot of shortcodes
In reply to: Embed an Activity stream like in Group & ProfilesI reckon try to build on that, otherwise you can create your own page based on the master templates in `plugins/buddypress.bp-templates/bp-legacy (or bp-nouveau)/buddypress/activity etc.
There’s a few template files that built the activity page, activity loop, index etc, you could make copies of these and load them from your theme, the alternative is to simply overload these template files in order to get the activity page working more like you want it.
In reply to: group access after upgrade 2.9.3 to 3.1.0Yes so for some reason your particular install is seeing this function as being declared twice, yet that second reported line of code does not exist in the actual code.
I know you think this has been caused by the upgrade to 3.1, which may prove to be the case, however I think we need to try and rule out other potential causes. Have you tried deactivating your other plugins to see if BP 3.1 works on it’s own?
In reply to: group access after upgrade 2.9.3 to 3.1.0Did you get a chance to inspect your copy of access.php to see if the function is redclared on line 85?
In reply to: Link does not display correctlyThis is known about and should be fixed in version 3.2.0. Might be wrth checking exactly which links you are talking about.
In reply to: group access after upgrade 2.9.3 to 3.1.0I’ve looked at this file and the copy I’ve got does not redeclare bp_groups_group_access_protection on line 85 so I’m thinking that something may have got corrupt during your upgrade. I think in the first instance I’d try uninstalling BP and reinstalling it to see if you can fix the error that way.
In reply to: Activation EmailPart of the issue is that you are on a paid plan, and we are volunteers, so we don’t have access to your system in order to provide tailored advice, even if we could there’s not a great deal you can do about a bug, you will need to wait for when the bugfix is distributed in a new version. On the brightside that new version is being pushed out right now, so maybe your fix is there with it?
In reply to: Activation EmailWell for one thing, it’s not run on a standard version of WordPress, also you don’t have ftp access or the ability to modify scripts yourself, so it’s a lot more limited. I’ve never used it so these are just assumptions. I can tell you how BP is supposed to work but I’ve no idea how it actually works on wp.com and it’s not like I can say “change this bit of code” for a fix. The wp.com admins would need to make that change, and that would be best done with them talking directly to us.
I’ve asked the other contributors what we do for wp.com folks, lets see what they come back with.
In reply to: Activation EmailAh, we don’t support wordpress.com installs, they have their own support for that. We only support sites created using wordpress.org
In reply to: Only allow admin to create the groupsAdmin>>Settings>>BuddyPress>>Options>>Enable Group Creation for all users
In reply to: Only allow admin to create the groupsThat’s right
In reply to: [Resolved] Members Profile URL Needs To ChangeThat’s odd, have you done any customisation of the members loop?
In reply to: Activation EmailYou mean you have a site on WordPress.com?
In reply to: 500 errorIt’s no longer relevant, this was checking for legacy forums which are now no longer supported, so you can just remove it.
In reply to: User’s Issue When Creating Their ProfileSome of this is how BuddyPress works out of the box, when you hit a button, that will cause a page load and you will go to the top of the screen. However it looks like something it triggering two page loads, so you click a button, the page loads and while you are scrolling down the page loads again. That’s not how BuddyPress works.
This second part all depends on how your bp pages have been set up. The first thing I would try would be to change your theme to a default theme such as 2017 and see if it still loads the page twice after you click a profile button.
In reply to: [Resolved] Members Profile URL Needs To ChangeAre you talking about the link given in the members directory?
In reply to: Buddypress profile notifications sectionAre these BuddyPress notifications you are talking about? How do they show on the homescreen?
BP does not provide a leaderboard.
In reply to: Work. This plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-registration-groups-1/ allows new members to choose groups on registration
In reply to: Shortcode question [bp_profile_url]No it’s not got that functionality.
In reply to: Embed an Activity stream like in Group & ProfilesHave you tried using Brajesh’s BP Activity Shortcode, it’s an simpler way of accomplishing the task.
I edited your post to highlight the code, you do that by enclosing your code in 1 backticks.
In reply to: You do not have access to this activityHave you tried deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default theme such as 2017 to rules out conflicts?
In reply to: Work.Ah sorry I thought you were looking for a code example. One way to get the list of a users groups is to use BP Profile Shortcodes Extra, this has a shortcode that will list a members groups in a number of ways, maybe that can give you some ideas?
To get a users groups you generally would need to run some code, it’s not as simple as looking up a single profile field.
In reply to: Activation key field don’t auto fillMy powers don’t extend that far – can’t look at rejected posts, I can say tere is automatic spam link checking and if it’s on the blacklist it will disappear without a trace.
