In reply to: Upload Cover Image Option Missing?
I’d check for plugin conflicts causing it, did you try running with just BP active and set to bp-nouveau?
In reply to: Connecting buddy press forumHi there,
If you go to Dashboard>>Appearance>>Menus you will see an option to add individual forums to your menu. If you just want to add the Forums page you can add that as a page.
In reply to: BuddyPress Developer neededScratch that suggestion, the Jobs Board has been closed.

Profile Settings
Profile Photo Uploads Allow registered members to upload avatars
Cover Image Uploads Allow registered members to upload cover imagesIn reply to: Upload Cover Image Option Missing? The first thing to check is that you have them enabled in Dashboard>>Settings>>BuddyPress>>Options
In reply to: Work.The infor is help in _bp_groups_members, there’s a group_id and a user_id meta key
In reply to: Work. What’s a DUD list, is that another location where you’d like to see the user’s groups or is it part of the profile page?
In reply to: Error (500) after update from BP 2.9.2 to 3.0.0BuddyPress Xprofile Fields Type has been withdrawn and if unsupported.
If you do a lookup for BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Fields (note the extra s) you will find that there’s a new fork of this plugin that should fix the problem.
The Trac ticket will tell you the latest state of play
In reply to: User Extended ProfilesYou can try these patches https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/7845
In reply to: Users can’t change their profile picturesTry deactivating all other plugins, also try switching to the 2017 theme to rule out your theme.
Does UMP use a different register page?
In reply to: Add comments section into lightbox gallery?Other than cover images and profile images BP itself does not deal with images.
In reply to: BuddyPress Activity Page 404 ErrorThis sounds like it’s possibly a template issue.
To create the activity page, the activity/index.php file is called, this in turn issues the following:
<?php bp_get_template_part( 'activity/post-form' ); ?>I’m guessing this is what’s failing, as it’s the first template file called, it calls
activity/post-form.phpwhich creates the “What’s New” input box. Is that missing from your page? One of the issues with template files is that they can be loaded from several places depending on the configuration. But in the very least you should check you have one located in:
BP Legacy theme in use - wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-templates/bp-legacy/buddypress/activity/post-form.php BP Nouveau theme in use - wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-templates/bp-nouveau/buddypress/activity/post-form.phpIn reply to: wordpress top barI’m afraid not.
In reply to: wordpress top barIsn’t there a lengthy discussion on that a couple of posts down from this one?
In reply to: wordpress top barThere’s a number of plugins that will allow you to remove the wp-admin top bar, just search the plugin directory.
In reply to: multi user typesThere’s wordpress roles and also BuddyPress member types, two ways of differentiating users. With the latter you probably would need to do some coding to have them work the way you want.
In reply to: Add comments section into lightbox gallery? You are probably better off asking a gallery creator such as BuddyDev or rtMedia, these are all questions relating to features of the gallery views etc, which are not part of BuddyPress.
In reply to: Groups and forum issueAh, two helpers at once, looks like we got there.
In reply to: Groups and forum issueHi there,
Try switching your theme to 2017, that’s a default theme that will allow you to discount any further issues with your current theme. I’m running BP Group Documents myself and not seeing that problem.
