    Sounds like you need some extra integration that what follow already provides. I’ve not seen anything that does that off the shelf. How’s your coding skills?

    Thee’s a few plugins for that, never used either myself, maybe you could ask the developer? Mind it’s a content posting plugin so I’d not expect any issues.

    Maybe you should look at BuddyPress Follow?

    Looking at Display widgets the version I have allows you to display a widget on all profile pages, it does not allow you to select specific pages within the profile pages. I also notice there is a version available for download here:

    https://seo-gold.com/display-widgets-plus-plugin/

    The author promised a premium version but it looks like he never got round to creating it.

    One option that I’d think about would be to modify this plugin to provide you will the desired functionality. most of the hardwork has already been done in that it’s picking up the bp profile pages to the virtual url used is supported, it would just require some further logic to only display on a specific profile page.

    No, I never tested that, what it did allow was for me to create a sidebar that would only display in the members profile page for example, or in the group home page. That’s as far as my testing got.

    What error are you getting?

    I’ve set my wp-config settings to be the same as you have set and I don’t get an error.

    Yes it does, I tested it a while back and the one issue I found was that the site started to get very complex when it came to sidebars, and the widgets page does not take to that compexity too well – it gets clunky when you are displaying lots of sidebars and widgets.

    Content Aware sidebars does this, but in my view it costs too much for that feature, it’s something that I’d like to see a solution for, along with more profile and group specific widgets to use in those places.

    Which plugins are you talking about? Some plugins can work for years after the last update.

    I recommend moderating new sign ups using BP Registration Options and coupling that with required registration fields that allow you to judge who is requesting signup. ( “About me” for example, spammers typically fill this with spam, so a dead giveaway, “location” is another one, spammers rarely declare their location to be that reflected in their IP address).

    What I do is use a plugin that only displays the widget on specific pages – it’s called Display Widgets SEO Plus, unfortunately that’s been removed from the repository. An alternative is to use Content Aware Sidebars Pro (premium version) to create sidebars specific to those pages and insert your widgets there.

    I think the first step for this would be to ask the Followers plugin developers to add this as a feature to their plugin.

    All of the fields that are in the Base field group will appear in the registration page, if you add another field group and add those fields there they will not be shown on registration.

    What Varun means is he thinks this is an old notice that’s not been removed, so login as admin and make sure you delete any sitewide notices that are still set up. Go to Profile>>Messages>>All Member Notices, you should be able to delete any there.

    Well the function that is probably being used is messages_send_notice, but that’s not guaranteed, you’d need to search for that in your plugins and theme directories files, that’s where the function you are looking for are likely to reside.

    I find it a bit strange myself, that only admin can moderate

    @venutius

    This is the default behaviour for BP, only Group Admin can delete other members activity updates.

    It sounds like you need to hire someone with knowledge to look at your site and remove that function. It could have been added in a number of ways. Could even be done via a plugin.

    functions.php or bp-custom.php is possibly where an additional function has been setup to create the notice:

    wp-content/themes/your child theme/functions.php

    or

    wp-content/plugins/bp-custom.php

    Is it in your functions.php or wp-custom.php?

    That’s interesting. I just created a new user, they did not show up in the members list until I actually logged them in, then they appeared, and in the members widget too.

    So it looks like there is a problem with your site blocking those users from appearing active. What other plugins are you running?

    @venutius

    Give it a try, get them to do something and see if they appear.

    The widget will only display users who have logged in and have been active on the site, it won’t display users who have registered but not logged in.

    You could overload activity/entry.php and instead of:

    if ( bp_activity_user_can_delete() ) bp_activity_delete_link();

    You could do:

    if ( current_user_can('manage_options') ) bp_activity_delete_link();

    That’s one option.

    You mean something like this:

    function venutius_change_profile_settings_edit_tab() {

    	if( bp_is_active( 'xprofile' ) ) :

    	$access        = bp_core_can_edit_settings();
    	$slug          = bp_get_settings_slug();

    	$args = array(
    		'parent_slug'     => $slug,
    		'subnav_slug'	  => 'notifications',
    		'screen_function' => 'bp_settings_screen_notification',
    		'user_has_access' => $access
    		);

    	bp_core_new_nav_default( $args );

    	bp_core_remove_subnav_item( 'settings', 'general' );

    	endif;

    }
    add_action( 'bp_actions', 'venutius_change_profile_settings_edit_tab' );
