In reply to: i cant access my blogg after installing buddypress 🙁
Rename all plugins in your plugin folder through ftp, access your wp-admin again and only activate buddypress, this way you can find out wether the problem lies within buddypress or some other plugin.
In reply to: What you don’t like about BuddyPressIn reply to: BP Album+ || New Features Requests and Discussion@gpo1, can you proof it’s the future?
I’ve been hearing that statement a lot but haven’t seen any solid proof that everybody on the globe will have phones with apps that allow you to do these things. Not saying I don’t like the idea, it’s fun and all, but personally I don’t feel it’s future yet.
In reply to: Fav IconEdit header.php and add the favicon html there.
And throw your favicon.ico in the root of your server.
In reply to: [New Plugin] CubePoints Buddypress Integration!Awesome, will check this out.

Thanks Tosh.
In reply to: Buddypress on WordPress vs WordPress MUThe only difference between WPMU and WPSA is that WPMU offers blogs to your users.

Goes to a support forum?Edit: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/buddypress-maps/
Goes to a different plugin? In reply to: Shabushabu.euI know a sushi restaurant that’s called shabushabu!

Anyway, nice going. Keep it up!
WP 3.0 isn’t supported yet, also installing wp + bp in a subdomain has caused problems before.
Did you update your permalink structure?
Sounds like an old problem, one which I haven’t heard in a while.
What version of WPMU are you running?
And you can also run buddypress on WPSA (stand alone).
In reply to: cant find the plugins setting in the dashboardAfter uploading and enabling BuddyPress, the menu gets displayed underneath the dashboad tab.
In reply to: Dashboard failure when activate buddypressDo you have any other plugins enabled?
In reply to: The Tosho: Comic and Manga CommunityAwesome-desu!
I love Manga, allthough I prefer Anime.

Am working on a buddypress based Anime/Manga Community as well, but only for the Dutch crowd.
Download Firefox and install firebug as an add-on.
Other than that, we can’t do anything with a bunch of html/php when its most likely a css problem.
Place an example link.
In reply to: Disable /wp-admin/ for “normal” users@ Smuda
Well ok, but I stand by my point I don’t think you should block all traffic towards wp-admin. Just hide it.
@ etiviti (rich!)
Isn’t it smarter to use current_user_can(‘edit_posts’)? That way anything higher than a subscriber can access the wp-admin.
In reply to: BP Album+ || New Features Requests and DiscussionPerhaps making a way to globally enter 3rd party streaming sites through the admin panel? For example…
Making an input that allows you to enter a example url.
http://www.veoh.com/browse/videos/category/animation/watch/v1545955ZqxpQBBK
Than users can choose that the latest 16 characters are the important ones and that the streaming site is labeled with Veoh.
More examples:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4E606X_TaDI (label: youtube)
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2bsvj_amv-strawberry-panic_creation (label: dailymotion)
Then making another textbox where you can enter an embed code off the site, where you paste the embed code and where you place a certain character needs to be replaced with the earlier mentioned code.
Example.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2bsvj_amv-strawberry-panic_creation (label: dailymotion)
<object width=”480″ height=”360″><param name=”movie” value=”http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/video/@“></param><param name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true”></param><param name=”allowScriptAccess” value=”always”></param><embed type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” src=”http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/video/@” width=”480″ height=”360″ allowfullscreen=”true” allowscriptaccess=”always”></embed></object>
This all will make the end code that gets displayed to the users like this..
<object width=”480″ height=”360″><param name=”movie” value=”http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/video/x2bsvj“></param><param name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true”></param><param name=”allowScriptAccess” value=”always”></param><embed type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” src=”http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/video/x2bsvj” width=”480″ height=”360″ allowfullscreen=”true” allowscriptaccess=”always”></embed></object>
In reply to: Adding footer to subdomains outside WPMU/BP?I’m guessing sub1 etc. are blogs? Than it’s easy, just add the same footer across the sites through the template?
In reply to: BuddyFace free BuddyPress themeWas planning on building a facebook theme on the theme they have now, but now working on the new (to come) design of facebook.

Anyway, reminds me off the old buddypress theme.
In reply to: BP Album+ || New Features Requests and Discussion“5) Streaming audio and video (about 3 weeks)”
Will this also include the support of putting youtube and other 3rdparty videos into your video gallery?
In reply to: comment a gallery pictureI don’t see what this has to do with buddypress at all…
In reply to: Isn’t it ALL a BuddyPress issue?BuddyPress is a plugin and like every other plugin, you don’t complain at the plugin because the core isn’t working properly. I get that you have a problem with this concept since I myself am unsure where to go with my question sometime, but if we start complaining about wordpress to plugin writers I’m guessing they’ll stop supporting their plugins.
In reply to: Install on MU or regular WP?BP can be installed on both WPMU and WPSA (stand alone), any problems with plugins other than buddypress should be discussed with the creator of the plugin.
In reply to: User chosen Password in Email? It’s not safe! That’s why passwords aren’t shown in the e-mail.
In reply to: Disable /wp-admin/ for “normal” usersBecause people still need wp-admin to write posts and stuff?
I wouldn’t disable it, rather just make sure no links go there.
In reply to: Donate to the BuddyPress project? As far as I know, that’s not possible.
