Stacy (non coder) started the topic hide bp toolbar in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 10 years, 5 months ago
I don;t want it shown on some blogs or during building phase whilst other blogs are already public.
Tried the global hide toolbar plugin but bp still shows. Any plugins to hide bp in the navi bar specifically?

In each folder found here are the corresponding default templates. These can be added to a folder you create in your theme. The folder you add to your theme must be…[Read more]

So I found this page, which says I can make a directory named buddypress or community. However, it doesn’t say the name of any of the files I can override. What files can I override and what do they do?

The Codex is maintained by volunteers (we’re all volunteers here at BP, even the core devs). The good thing is it’s an open source project so you can edit pages, and add new info yourself if you see something that needs improving.

@mercime replied to the topic Extended Profile tab still shows although unselected in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 10 years, 5 months ago
Backend still shows this tab when a user is logged in.
@functionmunchkin Have you tried clearing cache? Cannot replicate that in my installs. WP/BP versions? Single WP or WP multisite?

Figured I would take a look but the demo login doesn’t work. For social networks that require registration and no preview, it’s a major stopping point for most people I know.

@alid88 Just go to Page > Add New, name the page e.g. Register or Join etc., then publish. Do the same for the Activate page.> when i click view it takes me to my home page.
That’s default behavior when you go to the Register page while you’re still logged in. Log out first. -

Go back to where you enabled it in Settings > General for single site or in Network Admin > Settings if you’re on multisite. -

@beginner3 I’ve updated the screenshot in the link you posted. There’s only one “Save Settings” button on that page now. Sorry for your confusion.

That happens when you enabled registration in your site but haven’t published blank Register or Activate pages in your site. -

I can’t reproduce the problem. Do you have any plugins activated aside from BP? I’m using the latest WP (4.3.1) and BP (2.4.0).
