BP is now 1.6.3…. but can you explain a bit more your problem ? I don’t really understand what you mean by “voice blog authors in the admin bar”

What theme do you use and which plugins do you activate ?

The probleme occurs because you haven’t the good page for the forum.You certainly have some trashed pages, especially forums menu leads to /sample-page/ Also members leads to members-2 because there is a page nammed member in the trash….
In few words, this is not a regular install.

Pages who are in the trash are not delayed permanently. You need to clear the trash to do so.
First delete permanently all the pages related to BP and delete the trash.

Then go back to the page settings of BP and recreate them from there, accordingly to your BP components.

i use it to remove automatic spammers from my db but you can also resend activation e-mails or do it mnually (need a trusted relation to e-mail address and.or username i guess).

Deactivate de BP Data plugin and see if you have the same problem.
If you test BP, you can create 2-3 fake user to produce some BP specific content.

Why to introduce a plugin who do this for you and wasting time after to debug the plugin ?

Do it simple. 😉

If you have no widgets in the sidebar, it can’t show up !

If you changed your recently widgetized template to your own, you prabably need to reactivate all your widget. This is a common wordpress user situation, something between keyboard and chair.

It arrived to me also in the past. 😀

You have also to respect the bp-default theme hierarchy. Folder, files must be exactly at the same order and the same name in the child theme. You use a child theme at least ?

Perhaps you forgot a quote or something like this in your code ?

you have to add get_sidebar in to your custom activity template.

See in one of the bp-default files how it looks alike. (archives.php for example)

Now at the Group Forum page listed only topics from all Groups

for sure it’s default behaviour !

But below each topic title, aside author’s name, you have also the group forum name.
And if this is not enought, you also have the built-in Group widget who list all the existing public groups. And if they have forums, it’s also (indirectly) a forum list. And this widget is showing on all pages not only on the group forum template.

if your goal is to collect serialized informations about your members, you have to create your own data mining solution i guess. 😉

profile informations are stored in 4 different tables: wp _bp_xprofile_data, fields, group, meta

So if you are confortable with msql queries and php, you can recreate your own custom BP Profile Component.

If no one answered to you, it’s probably because nobody want to reinvent the whell.

I modified the function because $var strip the whole profile information.

But you have to modify the quotes to single quotes when you copy/paste from here. Simply see how other code is written in the file.

If your site went blank  it’s because you leave a empty line at the end of the functions.php probably.

If you paste my code at the end of the file, } must be the last line of it.

FYI functions.php doesn’t close with ?> as usual php files.

You must also use a text editor as notepad (and save as text – ANSI without BOM) or better notepad++ to edit php files, but never Word or something like this. Or at least the WP file editor….

By default, add as friend works only on the profile template or on the member template. So if you want to add this button into a post or in the post meta, it won’t work, i believe.
You should call the good template part first and probably need to add the appropriate action hook, yes.

Did you use the statement if ( bp_is_active( ‘friends’ ) ) before `bp_add_friend_button ?
