In reply to: When i upload image to buddypressHi @aymanomar85
Are you using a plugin to do this?
In reply to: Adding post featured images to activity streamHi @nkeatign
Looking at the code snippet in that thread,
wp_get_attachment_image_src()is used to get the array of info. The 2nd param is size so you can utilise that to get the large version. For example:$theimg = wp_get_attachment_image_src( get_post_thumbnail_id( bp_get_activity_secondary_item_id() ), 'large' );Note: you could also use
mediumorfullif you wanted.Ref: https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_get_attachment_image_src
In reply to: Member Type in members slug?In reply to: PasswordsHi @joenyland
You will need to use validation. Validation is a way of checking what information is received from the user before it’s saved to the database. This can be achieved via a filter such as
bp_signup_validate.For more info on filter hooks in WordPress and BuddyPress, check out this article:
Hey @ktrides2
Try giving the theme author some details of the problem. Maybe they’ll be able to release a fix?
In reply to: pagination bp org issueIn reply to: Buddypress registration shortcodeHey @aires4411
This may not be what you want, but have you thought about changing the name and slug of the registration page via WP admin > Pages? That will let you ‘move’ the registration page.
In reply to: Import old post activity to buddypressHi @nkeatign
BuddyPress ‘members’ and WordPress ‘authors’ share the same ID, therefore are the same entity. A post that belongs to WordPress author with ID 286 belongs to a BuddyPress member with ID 286 (because, again, they’re the same). If something isn’t displaying as you’d expect, then it’s likely to be a theme issue.
Which theme are you using?
Hi @rosyteddy
That’s related to WordPress rather than BuddyPress. Something you may be interested in if you have lots of ideas for WordPress is WordPress Ideas. Ideas get voted for so the popular ones ‘bubble’ to the top so to speak.
Hope this helps.
In reply to: Cannot Access Pending User Page in WPHi @robjsinger
Are you using multisite? And when you say admin, do you mean super admin or just plain ol’ admin?
Also, which theme are you using? Plugins activated?
In reply to: How to remove Load More option from Bp Activity listHi @gauravk2
Sounds like you need to modify your templates. Check out the Template Hierarchy article for more info on how this can be done.
In reply to: What happens when the WP user is deleted? From the user’s point of view, if they choose to delete their account, then they’d kind of expect their data to be removed. They wouldn’t want the site owner to retain their info once they’re long gone. And from the site-owner’s perspective, they want to keep a ‘clean’ database. Keeping redundant data is bad practice and just wastes space.
In reply to: CSS files not loading on some Buddypress pagesHi @saish_neugi
The proper way to enqueue scripts is
wp_enqueue_scripts. You should open a topic on the plugin’s support forum mentioning that so a fix can be releasedhttps://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API/Action_Reference/wp_enqueue_scripts
In reply to: What happens when the WP user is deleted?Hi @cspowers
When a member is deleted, let’s say John Smith
jsmith, that username becomes available again. Someone called Jason Smith could indeed registerjsmith.Content associated with deleted accounts should be deleted but this isn’t always the case. For example, I’ve seen some plugins save info to a user’s account and when that user is deleted, the info remains. As far as actual BuddyPress goes, ‘housekeeping’ on account deletion is performed.
In reply to: please review my new website onlijn.comWhilst it’s great you’ve created your own blog, please note Your BuddyPress is a forum to showcase BuddyPress-related websites, themes and plugins. Also, if you do have something BuddyPress-related to share, please open a new topic.
Thanks!
In reply to: Games with thumbnailsHi @aymanomar85
Can you provide some more information on what you’re trying to do? For instance, what do you mean exactly by games?
Thanks for pointing out
wp_trim_words()!In reply to: Create an account refreshes without doing anythingSending mail is never easy when it comes to localhost. There are some solutions around the web, but they’re often quite technical and hard to implement.
I’m sure a lot of developers create and activate their dummy users via the back-end manually. There’s also plugins that can help. Check out BuddyPress Default Data. It will create lots of users for you.

3. Not possible ‘out-of-the-box’. You’d need to find a plugin that does this. Try searching the Plugin Directory
