I think BuddyPress just uses the standard WP login page so https://codex.wordpress.org/Customizing_the_Login_Form has info on customising or even replacing the page.
On one of my sites I created a completely new page following this guide, https://themetrust.com/build-custom-wordpress-login-page/
It should be simple enough to create a custom page that disables the login button unless the checkbox is selected. In reply to: Translating BuddyPressHi @techsector7,
There should be information on https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/translating/inactive-translations/ for what to do, there is also a slack channel #polyglots (info on joining this https://make.wordpress.org/chat/) where you can chat to other people on the team.
Hopefully the above helps.
Hi, I can see that the page is only reloading when I try to create an account now.
Unfortunately with all the plugins you are running it is likely one that is interfering with the buddypress registration. Can you test with only BuddyPress enabled then work through re-enabling until the problem happens again, once you work out which other plugin is interfering they may be able to help.
Hi,
I have just tested and everything worked perfectly. testing4 was the username.Have you tried another browser, or do you have any browser plugins that could be blocking things.
In reply to: How do I edit the registration page?I normally open a private browser window when I need to see the site as a logged out user and stay logged in using another tab.
How does the page look when you have the twentytwenty theme active? Unfortunately as BeTheme is a premium theme I may not be able to help much.
In reply to: BuddyPress 6.0.0-beta1Both it would be easier if you created your own threads to receive support.
@closedloopers that really depends on whether any other plugins you use have been kept up to date and what custom code you have. BuddyPress iteself should be upgradeable from older versions by installing each of the major releases until you are up to date, they are available at the bottom of https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress/advanced/
Remember and take a backup and test along the way.@smiranda unfortunately unless you tell us what issues and glitches you are facing nobody on these forums will be able to provide much help. Feel free to create a new thread with more information and hopefully someone will be able to help out.
In reply to: change member status from spammer to normalThat partially explains your issue as you shouldn’t be able to mark an administrator as a spammer, you could take a backup of your database and change the user_status of the user from 1 to 0. I don’t know if other fields need to be changed and I’m no expert in this area so you do this at your own risk.
In reply to: change member status from spammer to normalIs it displaying an error message? How about if you try to unset this from the Users list instead of the extended profile page?
I get a cloudflare error 1020 when I try to access that URL, could you have a look at https://buddypress.org/support/topic/when-asking-for-support-2/ and work through some of those.
Also it will be worth checking if cloudflare is doing any form of caching, if so try to disable this to see if that helps with the issue.
In reply to: Registration HelpDashboard -> Settings -> General and check your WordPress Address (URL), that box doesn’t normally include index.php unless you actually have a folder with that name on your host with wordpress inside.
In reply to: Registration HelpHi, you have your site slightly misconfigured, your link points to http://joshinshaker.com/index.php/register/ when the page is actually at http://joshinshaker.com/register/
Do you have your site set to add index.php in the settings? In reply to: Unable to Log into Buddypress TracJust quickly tested here and it let me login with my wordpress credentials, I don’t believe any permissions are required as I certainly wouldn’t have those.
Have you tried another browser?
In reply to: Delete account – missingHi, you can’t delete the administrator account so that is why you are likely seeing that error, try the page as another user and see if it works. I don’t think the link appears in my menus either whilst I’m logged in as admin.
let me know if that helps?
In reply to: Hide (radio type) fields based on a valueWhy not use the built in visibility to set it so only Administrators can see?
In reply to: Group Photo UploadI just use standard BP on my sites and using the normal wordpress groups users can upload images although when uploading for posts etc they are not private if this is something you are looking for.
In reply to: Error Message after purchaseHi, these support forums are for the main buddypress plugin, the plugin you are referring to appears to be developed by someone else.
In reply to: Member Directory visible to everyone. The Members directory of BuddyPress is public by default, if Paid Membership Pro hides this from public view you would need to contact them to resolve.
Have you tried disabling this plugin to see if the page becomes public? In reply to: Can not update member rolesApologies I was looking at the wrong page, this is with Nouveau template. I can’t replicate the issue though so it may be worth testing with other plugins disabled and with another theme anyway. Any errors in the server logs?
In reply to: Can not update member rolesHi, is that a feature of your theme? It doesn’t look similar to any of the WP sites I run so might be worth trying to switch themes and test again.
In reply to: Remove/Hide Members FilterYou could just hide using css?
#members-directory-form #subnav { visibility: hidden; }In reply to: Table does not exists for groupsNone of my BP sites have a table xyz.g in the database so it looks like another plugin has created this or is attempting to access this. Have you tried the troubleshooting tips in https://buddypress.org/support/topic/when-asking-for-support-2/
It’s often worth deactivating all plugins then re-enabling each individually until you find what is causing the problem.
In reply to: Moving Forum Topic to a different groupHi, BuddyPress uses bbpress for it’s forums so you may have more luck on their forums but when I’m logged in on my sites I can select Edit and then change which forum the topic is assigned to.
I hope this helps.
In reply to: Friends connections doesn’t workHave you tried disabling other plugins and re-enabling one by one to see if any are interfering with this functionality?
The basic troubleshooting section may be worth trying at the bottom of https://buddypress.org/support/topic/when-asking-for-support-2/ as a starter then some more info on your setup if this doesn’t help find the issue. In reply to: url linksis https://itssocially.com/members/me/ what you are looking for?
Is this something someone enters when they are signing up to an event? If so isn’t this unique for each event?
