Hi, it looks like it is not splitting your long titles and email addresses, you could try adding the following to your css..
.buddypress-wrap { word-break: break-all; }In reply to: Members total count issueHi, Members only show on the member page if they have logged on once, could this be the reason you are seeing a different number?
In reply to: login logout not working NOT EVEN in Screen optionHi @julie2020666
That screenshot shows you are looking at the Dashboard page and thus it only shows the screen options relating to the Dashboard page. For your menu items you would select Appearance -> Menus, under Add menu items you should see a BuddyPress option that includes Log out and Log in. If you don’t see these on the Menu page you would select its Screen Options to tick the BuddyPress box.
I hope this helps.
In reply to: CustomizationHi @wenlu
What do you mean by listing? In reply to: Registration link in email does not workI’ve just created a testing5 user and the whole process worked fine for me, no issues opening the link in the email or activating. Could it be your email client that is truncating the link or something?
In reply to: Admins can not edit buddypress emailsHi Bharadhan, If you check the link shane has posted you will see the ticket discussing this. There is a patch near the bottom which shoukld be included in the next release, the beta is scheduled for 15th Oct and final release all going well 1st December. Or you can apply and test the patch if required sooner.
Hopefully this helpsOn https://buddypress.org/support/ up the top left you should see 8 subgroupings, If you click into each you should see an option to either subscribe or unsubscribe. If you don’t have any luck deleting your account it may be worth checking these 8 subgroups to see if you can unsubscribe.
Can you check https://buddypress.org/members/me/forums/subscriptions/ to see if they are listed?
In reply to: User registration and lost password problemsDoes your site send any email?
I’ve used https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-smtp/ in the past to track what is happening on my sites with email. In reply to: Registration Mail does not workWhat have you tried to debug the problem so far? There are plugins like https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-smtp/ which will log and show you any errors that may be happening
In reply to: Search Form Not Working ProperlyHey @thegradhub
Youzer heavily customizes buddypress so you will need to ask their supportIn reply to: Critical Error massage after Register.Have you tested with the twenty twenty theme and other plugins disabled to ensure it is not something else that is causing the problem?
Any errors in your server logs?
You can also enable debugging and check the file it creates to see if it gives any indication https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/In reply to: import forum from SMFHi @zmatczak
BuddyPress uses bbpress for its forums so you will likely have more success asking over on bbpress.org
Hopefully someone there has the answer. In reply to: Setting Up Buddypress registration page not workingHi @robbcapp, if you are logged in you can’t view the registration page, try and open it in a different browser or a private window where you are not logged in.
@michelleraab are you experiencing the same issue as robbcapp?
In reply to: Buddypress widgetsHi,
Do you mean they are not appearing on the widgets page or once you have them assigned to a Sidebar they are not appearing there? I’m unable to replicate on my own sites so far..
Have you tried with the twenty twenty theme?
In reply to: “There has been a critical error on your site.”Hi @reubenclosbanos,
I think this is the same bug as reported https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/8347
There is a patch file on that link to correct this which you may wish to try or a new version of BuddyPress (6.3.0) should be released on September 14th that includes this fix.In reply to: BuddyPress MessageHi,
I’m sure accessing messages is something that Paid Membership Pro is overriding, have you tried disabling these additional plugins to see if you can access messages then re-enable one by one to see which is causing the issue.
If you cannot patch or wait for the next release you could try downgrading to a version that worked previously.
In reply to: href link to user profileNot sure what the wallet is you refer to but you can usually substitute me instead of the username and this will be converted to the logged in user.
ie
https://site.com/members/me/profile/edit/ will changes to https://site.com/members/username/profile/edit/ for the logged in userIn reply to: creating intranet login pageYou would need an additional plugin for that functionality, maybe something like my private site from https://wordpress.org/plugins/
In reply to: Not sending activation mail to hotmailYou will need to test sending emails from your server to hotmail or use some other logging to see if they are returning a message dropped or blocked error code.
In reply to: Not sending activation mail to hotmailDo any of your site emails arrive at hotmail addresses?
If the emails are going to other addresses but none to hotmail you are likely facing the overzealous blocking they do.
In reply to: Duplicated profile fields not deletableI’m assuming you’ve tried the basic troubleshooting in https://buddypress.org/support/topic/when-asking-for-support-2/
It really depends how your database skills are, you can have a look in the YOURTABLENAME_bp_xprofile_fields table to see if these fields are duplicated there.
You could then search the YOURTABLENAME_bp_xprofile_data table to find which of these isn’t in use and delete.
You’ll want to backup everything first obviously before making any changes.
In reply to: Issue since last update 2020Hi, This looks like a theme issue, have you tried one of the default themes such as twenty twenty to see if the additional fields still appear or the registration button is there.
In reply to: How to enable file attachment in the forum?Hi,
BuddyPress uses bbpress for it’s forums, you may want to check out https://bbpress.org/plugins to see if there is anything that matches your needs.
