In reply to: Buttons at the bottom of each forum post don’t work
Hi,
Those buttons don’t look like they are related to BuddyPress specifically, is this on the forums? If so buddypress uses bbpress so you may have more luck on their support forums https://bbpress.org/forums/In reply to: BuddyPress conflict with CustomizeHave installed theme and activated, it is updating the preview with each change I make.
In reply to: BuddyPress conflict with CustomizeHi,
I’ve just quickly installed a fresh install of wordpress and buddypress, when I use the customize options the live preview is updating. What theme are you currently using as I was testing with twenty twenty?
Also do you have any other plugins installed or customizations made?In reply to: Member Directory CSS (search bar too big etc.)Hi,
I’m no expert but if you use F12 and use the Pick an element button to inspect you can see that the search box and search buttons have sizes that won’t fit on the same line. i.e. the button has a width of 20% and the search input has a width of 80% but the padding will push these out so they won’t fit on the same line, if you drop the seach box to 70% they’ll both move to the same line.
Then next the box has a margin-bottom: 24px; which is what is making it so high. You could always try another theme?
In reply to: @Mentions don’t seem to work?I’m experiencing the same on my forums but unfortunately don’t have much time to investigate further right now. Might be worth opening a ticket on trac if those are the only plugins you currently have active.
This looks to be theme related, have you contacted the author? Would also need to know the theme name if you wanted somewhere here to have a look assuming it is free.
RegardsIn reply to: @Mentions don’t seem to work?Hey,
If you assume it is one of your plugins or theme have you tried using one of the default themes or disabling plugins, and if that fixes re-enabling one by one?If that doesn’t work you may need to supply more information as specified in https://buddypress.org/support/topic/when-asking-for-support-2/
In reply to: Forum participants can’t post images anymoreHi, BuddyPress uses bbpress for its forums so you may get a quicker response over on their support forums.
I’ve just had a quick look at the forums on my site though and I can only see an option to use IMG tags to point to already online images and don’t see an option to upload images straight to the forums.
In reply to: buddydocHi Elodie66,
As your queries appear to be related to a different plugin you will likely get a better response from the plugins own support forums. This site is primarily related to the BuddyPress plugin itself. In reply to: Delete Users but keep activityOn my site i created a user called ‘deleted user’ and the bulk delete plugin i use to remove people allows all their posts etc to be assigned to this ‘deleted user’. Would that work for you?
In reply to: BuddyPress Tables LostIs this for an empty site? If so the 2nd last post in this thread might be similar to what you need to do so it will create the tables again on reactivation https://buddypress.org/support/topic/self-inflicted-bp-tables-madness/
In reply to: Group posts delayed appearance in feedNot familiar with Bitnami but is this relevant? https://docs.bitnami.com/oci/infrastructure/lamp/administration/disable-cache/
In reply to: Group posts delayed appearance in feedThey should be appearing instantly, do you have a cache plugin installed or does your host cache files? It sounds like that is what is happening.
In reply to: Role “Moderators bp”I don’t there is anything that matches exactly what you are after but the above thread lists plugins for reporting if that is any use.
In reply to: Forums Lisitng IssueHey, do you know what version of BuddyPress you upgraded from?
I think there used to be guides on steps required for really old versionsIn reply to: White screen of death on wordpresshttps://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-wordpress-white-screen-of-death/
Has a list of things that could potentially help fix the problem. In reply to: Wer ist online WidgetsIn reply to: Where can I find users who do not approve?Hmm, if you can’t see the users in the Pending tab it would seem you don’t actually have any un-activated users. You could check the database tables if you are not convinced, they would be in the users table, mine have a user_status of 2.
In reply to: Where can I find users who do not approve?Dashboard -> Users -> All users -> Pending tab
/wp-admin/users.php?page=bp-signups is the link I see on my site.
It may be worth having a look on their support forums but the first thing I found when I did a quick search was https://wordpress.org/support/topic/problem-with-multiple-users-member-site/ which seems to describe what you experienced.
Hope the launch goes well!
Hey,
It is worth trying the suggestions at the bottom of https://buddypress.org/support/topic/when-asking-for-support-2/ to see if a plugin is causing the problem, my first guess would be to suspect some caching that is happening. Do you run any plugins that cache data, does your new host use any caching? In reply to: invalid activation key errorMight be worth trying again as when I was trying your site earlier I could only see the header/footer but not the ‘Activate your Account’ etc. I can now see the box as expected so hopefully things will work
In reply to: invalid activation key errorHi, Could you check Settings -> BuddyPress -> Pages tab, what page do you have Activate set to, if you open that page that is linked in a browser that is not logged in does it load correctly? It should show a box to enter the key manually when visited directly I believe.
In reply to: Delet another aministratorIs this users email address the same as the one entered in Settings –> General? If they match you will need to change this email address to one of the other administrator addresses then try again.
In reply to: Styling the login widget@mediarules are useful for having differing css depending on the screen width but I can see you’ve updated it so it should look good over all devices anyway.
Looks good
