In reply to: Adding Navbar to Group and Members Pages
Hi @blulink
This looks like it is related to the Youzer plugin, you should send your question to their support team.In reply to: Signup feature not workingHi, as you state this is a premium theme that incorporates two plugins you will need to contact the theme author for support relating to their integration or test with a standard theme such as twenty twenty.
https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/add-ons/buddypress-integration/ has information on the settings you will need for overriding BP registration pages. In reply to: No pending accounts found.Unforunately I’m not familiar with woocommerce or the functionality it adds. BuddyPress does have the functionality you describe but it is not related to that field.
You can test this by disabling woocommerce and creating a new account but not clicking the link in the activation email, it should then show as pending.
Have you opened a request over on woocommerce support? In reply to: No pending accounts found.Hi, that double opt in column is not part of buddypress. Usually these are relating to newletters or similar so you will need to check your other plugins.
In reply to: No pending accounts found.Hi, manage signup takes you to the users who are pending on your site, so those who have filled in their details but have not followed the activation link they are emailed (assuming you haven’t turned this off). On my sites they don’t appear on the Dashboard Users page under all, there is a seperate pending option that should show you the same view as the manage signup link.
I think Vaparuns suggested fix is related to the actual members page that is visable to all users on your site.
Could you expand on your exact issue maybe with a screenshot? It is also useful if you could try some of the basic tests in https://buddypress.org/support/topic/when-asking-for-support-2/ and supply some of the additional details regarding plugins/themes.
Ahh the site is using the Legacy Template pack, this doesn’t happen with Nouveau template. You can switch between templates on the options page within buddypress settings.
Unfortunately I’m unfamiliar with this but https://buddypress.org/support/topic/how-to-disable-stay-on-page-confirmation-popup-from-registration-page/ has a possible solution.I tested using a fresh WP and BP install on my local machine, as I said I can’t replicate what you are experiencing which implies that the issue is either with your theme or another plugin. If you test with twenty twenty theme and the issue disappears you know to contact your theme developer, if it continues with twenty twenty theme you will need to try disabling other plugins to see which is causing the problem.
Hi, I don’t seem to be able to replicate this problem, does it happen with when you are using twentytwenty theme?
Have you tried disabling other plugins?Hi, this sounds like a caching issue, have you checked https://uk.godaddy.com/community/cPanel-Hosting/Server-Cache/td-p/49253 ?
Woops that is the old deprecated method, https://wordpress.org/support/article/roles-and-capabilities/ is the correct one. Table name wp_capabilities although they should still match each other.
The wp_usermeta table will show a wp_user_level which is documented https://codex.wordpress.org/User_Levels
You can check these fields to see if what you are seeing in the front end matches the backend. If you are unable to change this through the front end it implies a plugin or some custom code is overriding, have you tried disabling all other plugins and re-enabling one by one to see which causes the problem.
In reply to: Members showing on one Group but not AnotherHi @jseanm69
If I’ve read this correctly if you visit the page on mobile you see all members but not on a desktop, this points to it being a theme issue.
Have you tested using the twentytwenty theme as recommended by vapvarun?
You can use the developer tools (f12) in most browsers to test various viewport sizes which should help you see what is happening with the CSS as the page is rendered at different sizes. In reply to: default url not workingHi, Are you sure you didn’t previously use /members/me/profile/ etc?
In reply to: 2 problemsHi,
Check https://buddypress.org/support/topic/when-asking-for-support-2/ as we’ll need more information to be able to help you. It also lists basic troubleshooting steps
In reply to: BuddyPress development ServiceHi, you can post on the official wordpress jobs board https://jobs.wordpress.net/post-a-job/
In reply to: Remove BuddyPress Group Forum LinkHi,
There may be a better solution but you could try hiding through your custom css..
#nav-forum { display: none; }In reply to: BP Profile Search Not Working!Hi Swalky, as this related to a seperate plugin you will need to raise this on their support forums.
Those buttons don’t normally appear for logged out users. Have you tested with the default themes?
In reply to: Unable to join groupsHi, did you disable all other plugins and test to see if that resolved the problem? If that works you will need to re-enable one by one to find which is causing a conflict.
Review doesn’t sound like wording from BuddyPress and looking at that plugin surely that would be the place to ask for support relating to it’s features?
In reply to: Way to post media into the Buddypress comments?BuddyPress just uses standard WordPress comments so you could try https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/105942/embedding-youtube-video-on-comments
Hi,
Check this thread with explanation and a possible solution https://buddypress.org/support/topic/members-do-not-appear-in-the-page-members/
Hi Aditideo,
If you change to the twenty twenty theme or similar do you then see the toolbar and notification bar?
In reply to: BP Site s a Spam Magnet… Ideas?Hey, I run a fairly similar sized site and thankfully only see 1 or 2 a year, we run..
Akismet & Antispam bee
I also receive an email whenever someone signs up and if the email looks in anyway suspect I’ll check their account,it’s normally fairly obvious from the entries to the xprofile fields whether they are legitimate or not and they are blocked.
What anti spam plugins are you currently using as I’m sure I remember seeing ones that would throttle or block anyone abusing? In reply to: BuddyPress Login redirects to WordPress LoginI should have probably checked this first, are you actually using wordpress.com to host your site? If so I’m not sure if they support BuddyPress or not but I believe they have their own support which you may need to check in with.
